I processed the information about her history as an explanation of why she is guarded and doesn't open up. I appreciated that Nina recognized this and gave the little speech about her strict side and needing to balance it with a softer side- maybe something Nina sees in herself.

They've kept her safe after so many dubious designs. But, she was up against another "favorite" (Elaine's own words!) Prajje, so this was the time. She seems to design elaborate, costumey looks and she definitely stays true to herself (her own style reflects this), but it's often too much in this fashion competition. She has the perfect career for her aesthetic and I wish her well. She seemed to be one of the designers with the best outlook.

I truly expected a case of alcohol poisoning long ago. These people drink like fishes and regularly black out. I know the drinking is encouraged because production wants crazy behaviors and drama. I hope they rethink encouraging the overdrinking. Fans actually enjoy the calmer crew members who don't jump in the sack with every coworker they meet. Some of the fan favorite crew include Colin (both BD Med and SY), Mzi, Courtney, Josiah, Rachel (post her first season), Ileisha, Aesha, Tumi, to name a few.

As of this morning, Laura had issued an "apology" of sorts...pretty much the type of thing we would expect from her and made her IG private for now. Luke is still on IG, posting photos of his exploits in Dubai. He is writing how he has made changes over the last year and a half. People are speculating that he is deleting the negative comments. Update: since the last time I checked, Luke has marked his account "private" as well.

Captain Jason is not abiding fools this season. He had to put up with so much last year, due to a lack of available crew because of Covid. He acted quickly and decisively with Luke and then realize Laura was not supporting the safe environment he just described in the meeting. I wonder if Laura got her wish and met up with Luke back on land. I'm glad the rest of the crew were there to support Margot. Aesha is a hero, in my book.

I was all set to come here and complain about Laura being so rude to everyone that is not the person she wants to hook up with (poor Harry on late shift with her), and then I saw the Luke scenes. His behavior was so inappropriate...I'm just glad the crew and producers were there to sort things out. He's humiliated himself on tv, but it could have been so much worse without the intervention. This episode was anything but entertaining, but important to draw attention to a behavior that is still all too common. I appreciated the way Jason spoke about boundaries and consent.
