  1. I think it had been freshly flipped just before Tim bought it. It had black trim on the windows and other black accents that the Rodrigui quickly painted with white.
  2. The general feeling was that Kaylee planned her wedding with her future in-laws, not BME so Jill had to show her displeasure in some way such as screwing up her hair and veil.
  3. It's interesting that of the remaining teams, the best record is 90-72, and none of the remaining teams lead their division, although Astros/Rangers had same record. I guess Houston won the division with a tie-breaker. The Braves are gone (no chanting or chopping in future games), and Rangers please dispatch the Astros. I have a personal fondness for the Phillies, but I can appreciate the D'Backs who haven't been in the post season since 2007.
  4. She'll stop only when they pry that Plexus bottle from her dead, lifeless, sausage-fingered hands.
  5. There's always a chance; remember the Red Sox in 2004. However I don't feel too optimistic about the Orioles and Twins. I won't be watching a Houston/Texas playoff so I guess I can hope for the Phillies to prevail.
  6. It was posted as a new topic, but it fit under Paul's episode so it was combined with that.
  7. She's famous for a small number of leghumpers, and infamous for a somewhat larger group of snarkers.
  8. I'm not a germaphobe, but the thought of two people in street clothes sitting in a hot tub makes me feel unwell..
  9. Tonight's "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" goes after homeschooling and the HSLDA. If you don't have HBO the video will probably be on the show's Youtube channel tomorrow.
  10. I'm so glad my Twins won. We needed it after the loss yesterday, the MN Gophers were destroyed by Michigan, and the Vikings lost to the K.C. Chiefs although only by a touchdown.
  11. Along with the candy you could bring something like popcorn for those who choose not to indulge in sweets.
  12. Many years ago the LCS was 5 games, but expanded to 7 games. I know it was 7 games at least by 1987 when the Twins beat the Tigers in 5.
  13. Once in awhile even reliable firms run into a snag. Amazon is usually on time or at most a day late, but last December I became quite frustrated when a calendar I ordered on 12/10 was delayed after the original delivery date of 12/14, and they kept saying that they would give me an updated date, until it finally came on 12/30 or 12/31. I was even able to update the delivery location to my sister's address as I didn't have it as a Christmas gift to give to her personally.
  14. The Twins/Astros game is starting on FS2.
  15. It appears they plan on starting the Texas/Baltimore game about 2:15 with only 2;30 hrs between the MN/Houston game. They might have to start the later game on an alternative Fox channel.
  16. It would be welcome news to hear the IRS was visiting JB.
  17. Yes, I was thinking why did they take this Maine trip when they have their cruise charges coming in November. I had forgotten about the Austin adventure too. I really doubt there will ever be a magazine, and that was just the latest grifting ploy. They had asked for donations of paper, but I think that could probably be used for the usual smiley tracts.
  18. On Saturday the AL games are on FS1 and the NL games are on TBS so hopefully you can watch. That's too bad fellow Twins fan that you weren't able to see the Lewis homeruns in game 1 and Duran's pitching in the last inning of game 2.
  19. That could be it, her glasses had dark frames, and considering all the hours she spends staring at a screen.
  20. There are photos of Jill wearing glasses so she has them. She looks better in those photos as she hasn't worn all the usual eye make-up.
  21. Concerning that photo of Jill alone in the field I'm amazed that she didn't provide us with a video, singing "The hills are alive, with the sound of music." She's looking very matronly, and not like one of the girls.
  22. I'm a Twins fan, and I'm thrilled with ending the losing streak today. I also have a soft spot in my heart for Blue Jay fans. Years ago I discovered that many BJ fans from central Canada come to Minneapolis to see their team play, and they were such nice people. One couldn't tell with all the noise, but I'm sure there were several BJ fans in the park. I'd like to see the Brewers advance in the post-season too. My grandmother rooted for the Milwaukee Braves and Brewers. Then there is the Phillies. They were my first team, dating back to that fateful 1964 season. I think I have the most interest in these WC games!
  23. It appears they were in Phoenix, AZ as that's where Grace Walk Church is. It's a non-denominational church led by a Steve McVey.
