  1. Haven't watched this show in a while but wanted to see the Leslie Jordan episode. It was so heartbreaking. Especially when Leslie said I hope they leave the house to me. It seems they were such good friends and Leslie looked like he had a blast working on the house.
  2. I really liked this movie, probably more than Black Panther. Of course the original had a lot more cultural significance. Some have said that the movie was too long, it was long but didn’t feel long. I think people who prefer more action may have like this film less than people who are fine with less action (like me). All the actors did a great job, but Letitia felt like the weakest link, which is sad considering her character’s importance. She just doesn’t have the same presence as the others. For example I’m looking forward to seeing this again when it premieres on Disney+. I liked the introduction to Riri, and the laughter she brought. And loved the mid credits scene, very well done.
  3. Regarding the bolded, I completely agree. I did know who the eliminated couple was but realized last night I keep completely forgetting about Aubrey and David. It's nice to not have any obnoxious teams but it's difficult to when so many of the teams have such bland personalities. I am happy that Luis and Michelle got another 1st place finish. I think Glenda and Lumumba are not long for this race.
  4. I liked this episode as well, although Janine really was irritating me getting in Melissa's business. One moment that made me laugh was Mr. Johnson saying "another sister". This is a man who likes to be in the know. I don't remember knowing Janine had a sister before now either, I wonder if we'll see her at any point this season.
  5. That's how Chip & Kim won their season. Either they overslept or missed a flight or something but they wound up on the first flight to land ahead of Colin & Christie, that season's frontrunners. With the charter flights, something like that couldn't happen again.
  6. Just hearing about Angela Lansbury, I was shocked and saddened. But, as others have mentioned, 96 is a great run. She was so talented and I loved almost everything she was in, including The Long Hot Summer opposite Orson Welles. My mom and I are currently doing a re-watch of Murder She Wrote on Peacock and we both love how well Jessica dresses. Her clothes were timeless and she never looked like an "old lady". Now I also have another reason to look forward to the next Knives Out movie.
  7. Just watched Casino Royale over the weekend, and loved it! I had not seen any Daniel Craig Bond movies but watched No Time to Die and decided to go back and watch his first outing. It was just so well done, and I loved Vesper Lynd. Of course that meant Quantum of Solace was next and I didn't love it, didn't hate it, just didn't love it.
  8. Another good episode! My love for Melissa went through the roof when she mentioned Capt. Chucky's in Ocean City, I love that place, their crab cakes are so good! Ashley is already on my nerves, can't wait to see how she and Melissa get along, or Barbara's reaction to her. I'm glad Jacob embraced his corniness, once he realized he is corny. I'm also glad he didn't let Janine's harsh, if well meaning, words damage their friendship.
  9. I really enjoyed this episode, especially Necie's support of Marty. I liked Calvin's telling Malcolm to just stay quiet and take it and that ghosting is nothing new, just a new label. I thought Grover was over the top, at first he was just messing with Dave, but yeah that should have been shut down a lot sooner.
  10. This one makes me sad, I always liked Loretta Lynn Loretta Lynn, ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ Country Music Icon, Dead at 90 – Rolling Stone https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/loretta-lynn-dead-obituary-65340/
  11. I've been doing a re-watch of DS9 so this episode just made me smile a lot. It was nice hearing Nana Visitor and Armin Shimerman although I can hear that they've aged. They fell right back into those awesome characters. I would have liked to see the "Junior Reporter" Rutherford wanted to talk to, hard to believe Jake would still be on the station after so many years. Fun episode.
  12. Well thanks for this, I was hoping it was sarcasm but thought I had missed something. My brain is a little fried from my flu shot. Re: the cheerleaders, when they were told it would only take them 10 minutes to get to the task I knew something was wrong because another team had been told 2 hours. They really took it so well, it was refreshing.
  13. Can you explain this? I've been watching TAR since the last episode of S1 and am unfamiliar with this rule. Why would the twins not be able to continue to get to know each other after the race is over?
  14. A true Philadelphian, I can tell, you even got the pronunciation right, lol. No one from Philly would just call it "ice" and the texture can be different depending on where you get it from, there's so many more options than Rita's. I'm glad I watch this show with close captions on so I could see Taylor's text read Broke Boi, that was harsh, but Barbara pronouncing it bwah was so funny.
  15. Loved this episode! I think I laughed more this week than last week. I also called right away that the teacher at the charter school would be Melissa's sister and yes to the Ben Simmons thing. Ava thinking she'd make a good school president or mayor was hilarious. The mice scene freaked me out, I would have gone home and not come back until that was handled. As a Philly girl I can say pina colada water ice is delicious. The thing with Philly is all water ice is not the same, you have a lot of mom and pop stores that do their own thing to make it special. So yes, Janine may know that pina colada is Gregory's favorite. "Michael J Fox" it was the way they all said it that was great. I love that they respect Barbara enough to just let it go and not even try to correct her. Even Mr. Johnson was like don't mess with Barbara.
  16. Having no NEL may give the producers the opportunity to show more footage. We might see more of the local areas or we might see more the teams completing challenges. Some legs could be TBC on CBS with a cliff hanger of sorts. Doesn't necessarily have to mean less episodes.
  17. I found that I remembered the earlier season winners more than the newer seasons. Some, I had no idea who they were and I watched every season as well. Still, a nice article.
  18. Kelly's "you have been useful, non-drunk man, you may go", was hilarious. And him not understanding why he had to have an opinion on the dress, also funny.
  19. I really enjoyed this one, felt like old Orville. I laughed more in this one episode than I did for this whole season combined. I did feel like the Moclan mating ritual/vow renewal went on way too long, it was funny with no one knowing what to do at the end. Loved Elvis impersonator Bortus, and Klyden’s support no matter what. Best part, for me, was all the Kaylon at the wedding. They clearly had no idea what was going on, but they wanted to support Isaac. I loved how they were always a second behind in standing when the bride walked in (I loved Claire’s dress), and standing and applauding after the ceremony. They looked like “why are we hitting our hands together, illogical biologicals”. I did like Gordon’s speech, but if I never hear him sing again that will be just fine with me. I did not remember Lysella at all, but I did remember the planet, glad she decided to stay. Loved seeing Alara again. And loved Claire going old earth on Lamarr for his dumb “advice”. I’ll be sorry if this is the end, but it was a good finale.

    Titanic (1997)

Y'all are killing me 🤣 I remember going to theaters with my mom and some teenage girls to see this. And I told them before the movie started "It's the Titanic, so people are going to die, be prepared". But one of the girls started crying so hard I asked my mom if we should remove her from the theater. It actually stopped other people from crying, seeing how over the top she was. I will always laugh at Jack's death because of my memories of her. That was also the last time we went to the movies together. All that said, the movie was beautiful, the sets, the costumes. A museum in my home city had a Titanic exhibit and part of it was a recreation of a hallway in first class. You turned a corner and you were on the Titanic, it literally took my breath away. Just stunning. At the beginning of the exhibit you got a card with an actual passenger on the ship and at the end you were able to look them up to see if they survived or not. Shockingly, my passenger survived, I was so relieved/happy.
  21. Had nothing else to watch so caught this on Netflix. I enjoyed it for a mindless action movie on Saturday night with a cheesesteak and wine. I'm not a Ryan Gosling fan (don't dislike him, just not a fan), but I thought he did his best with the rip-off Jason Bourne material he was given. Disappointing that so many loose threads are out there for the obvious sequel. Not totally convinced Lloyd is dead. The ending seemed to go on a bit too long, like just end it already. No need to watch again.
  22. I had similar complaints that others had about this episode, from the blatant Star Wars rip-off (not necessarily a bad thing) to why isn't the priority duplicating this weapon? Also, why did the Kaylon help Orville retrieve the weapon, why not just kill everyone now while they're defenseless? It made no sense. I understood why Admiral Ted Danson did what he did, it was just stupid. And again, take your priority is to take your only weapon that can destroy your enemy and ask them to sign a peace treaty? Why isn't your priority mass producing the weapon and getting one on every ship in the fleet? And again, Charly was not the only person from the Orville that was killed, I really hated that special memorial service just for her. I know why it happened that way, I just hated it. And please no more pausing the episodes for a musical number, was that the third or fourth one this season?
  23. I only knew him from Doctor Who, but I loved him as Donna's grandfather. Seems he had quite a career and a long life.
  24. So I just realized this show was available on Hulu and have been re-watching on my lunch breaks. I remember watching live when it first aired in the 90s but forgot so many episodes. The only one I really remembered was Be My Valentine because of the gun Max used. I'm at the beginning of season 2 with Max and her therapist, what an awful guy, I have no memory of how it ended so looking forward to it. Just finished the episode where a male teacher (a young Alan Ruck) was raped by a woman. Completely forgot Jason Beghe was on the show, only remembered Don Cheadle as the DA. I'm now dreading when I get to season 4 but glad to have to warning.
  25. It really is sad. I know when my father was in hospice he stopped breathing and we called the nurse in. She took his pulse etc. and said "he's gone". My mom was out of the room, when she walked back in my dad started breathing again. Even the nurse was shocked. Of course we lost him finally a few hours later but these things do happen. Just feel bad for the family.
