Lily has a credit card for the same reason other things happen in this show lately...to make a joke. The early MF episodes contained humor, based on the characters' idiosyncrasies. However, most recent episodes this season are now a collection of jokes, and the show has lost its charm. I used to laugh out loud watching the Dunphys and Pritchetts. Now I just stare at the screen, watching the punchline come from a mile away. Phil and Jay keep me just interested enough to keep watching.
