  1. Wait, wait, wait. It’s the “wives” and not Kody who are working overtime to keep all this going?? Kody isn’t privately wooing them with grand promises or instilling hope with persuasive compliments, but they are demanding he continue?? He tells them he’s in hell and it’s all their fault, but they beg to remain?? Meri especially reminding him that he pinkie swore?? To what? Treat them like tramps for all eternity? And they don’t want it to end??
  2. I am def interested in the dinosaur theory.
  3. I just saw that someone said Kody’s best solution would’ve been to isolate from Robyn and her family. Brilliant.
  4. Furthermore! Meri bullying someone to convince Kody to throw her some love is wincingly reminiscent of Leah trading Rachel some fresh mandrakes for a night with Jacob. What fruit does Robyn like?
  5. I am vacillating on whether Kody and Meri’s bit this season is fake or naw. If it’s indeed fake, I’m truly appalled at Meri portraying herself this way to a younger generation of ladies. If Kody doesn’t love Meri, he just doesn’t. It no longer matters how that came to be, whether because of Robyn or the catfish or both, Kody done moved on, child. I feel like, “Y’all might be tryna trick us, but ya’ll ain’t trickin God”, so why keep bringing it up that they’re technically keeping their (loop-hole) faith. Not buying that for sure. So I guess I’m back to - they’re faking this. And if they’re making enough money to fund four, I mean three, households, I guess I shouldn’t blame them. BUT if the shows are going to be this painful and uncomfortable and contradictory and socially irresponsible, why not just own the original truth in the first place? I guess because no one saw all this coming. Otherwise... THIS!!!! ❤️
  6. I’m back. I’m just floored because though I realized polygamous women had to do without their fair share of sex, I didn’t realize polygamous men were turning down so much of it. Lol! But it looks like he’s doing his best by Robyn. 😜
  7. When Kody explained that Meri was not “courting” him, I understood him to mean there was something Meri was failing at rather than that he wanted her to chase him so he could say no. Was he telegraphing that Meri acts like a butt and a brat or something and she must stop doing that before he feels she’s serious? Also, he said Meri was bullying the other wives to convince him to reconcile with her. Polygamy is a swirling vortex of sewage. Kody is resentful and the “wives” are resentful. But when Kody says he is not interested in meeting their needs and they are free to leave, they won’t. They just hang around crying and asking for sex. From Kody. A man who admitted he just pretends to care (about Christine). I’ve never seen women so desperate to live a lie. I’ve never seen women so clueless that the earth is full of other self-respecting monogamist males who don’t have to be asked twice for some lovin. (Hmph! And Kody calls himself a polygamist!) Or has it all become so twisted and foul that no one leaves because they know it would make the others happy? For once.
  8. So true. I have long believed this. I have thought though that all these marriages except the one to Robyn are over and they are just continuing to scam us in thAt way. Or maybe it’s half and half. 😜 At the end of the day it’s still eye opening to see how polygamy enslaves and abuses women. That’s something they cAn’t hide.
  9. To me, it seemed like Kody was playing us with that schtick about being an alpha male. He was instigating for sure. He’s a toddler.
  10. And Robyn was not so subtly reminding everyone that she is still yOUng and doing yOUng things like raising children like a yOUng woman - not Old with an empty nest. And just in case Kody forgot, she’s 11 years yOUnger than him and still vital and yOUng and relevant for yEArs. She’s a walking fountain of yOUth.
  11. I agree with your analysis of Robyn’s demeanor at first. She truly may have gained her eventual confidence from Kody’s unconditional, passionate love for her. Like the love of a desert King, heady! 😜 Robyn had all the support she needed in her husband, so why continue to take crap from the serfs, who were situationally weak and unfit to rule after years of unresolved resentment, constant loss, unrelenting inequality, and bad taste in men. As Kody’s second in command, Robyn just naturally began treating the others the way Kody did. They deserved no better. And, after all, they did receive magnanimous crumbs from her charger.
  12. This. Meri says we all have our own truth. Can truth be truth if it is malleable and changeable and adaptable to our personal feelings? Someone has to be wrong sometimes in the face of truth - and this time it’s Meri.
  13. Great points. I have a feeling Kody’s very own man cave is housed at Robyn’s. It has to be annoying visiting the lesser accommodations of Janelle and Christine - kind of like staying at hotels while traveling for work. Maybe it’s exactly the same. I don’t believe Janelle asked Kody to stay away though. I believe that decision was made along the same lines as Kody and Meri’s divorce. I keep wondering if the original marriages ALL busted up awhile back and Kody is just doing visitation with his remaining children, which would be one reason (among many) he and Robyn got the large house while J & C... did not. But, y’all, if that’s what it looks like to win Kody all to yourself... Imagine having all those other kids, even the grown ones, constantly maneuvering in and out looking for their daddy time, only now without the help of the other “wives”. Then one would have to watch those “wives” traveling and relaxing on their kid-free days. This sounds so bad, I’ve almost talked myself out of believing Robyn would ever let this happen.
  14. When Kody sat Robyn’s daughters down to announce the decriminalization of polygamy, I wondered how Kody would feel if one of them married a man who embraced polygamy but not the religious/faith aspects. Because those fellows would be lining up too. Announce thAt to Aurora and Breana, Kody.
  15. Kody declaring himself a lover makes me think of how many nights his ladies went without a lover over the years. These folks practice polygamy according to the Bible, yet in Ecclesiastes it says, “Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?” The only Biblical examples Kody and crew point to are the ones where the wives battle, the kids battle, and Jacob sends two of his least favorite wives first and second in a caravan going toward a possibly angry brother, and sends his favorite at the back of the caravan where she is safest. This should be enough to send every woman screaming into the void - from Kody’s beliefs.
  16. Basically, Robyn says (in a bonus scene from the More to Love Basement Wife episode) that society’s refusal to accept polygamy is the primary reason a sister wife like Christine feels like a second class citizen, or whatever. Living in a basement and taking primary care of all of Kody’s children while he enjoys superior compartments above stairs is apparently only the secondary reason a lady feels like a second class citizen, or whatever. As if Christine or any third wife would be treated more respectfully because of a marriage certificate. Humans are going to be humans. Granted, all family members would have had access to health insurance, eradicating those payments for unexpected medical bills, but everything else would’ve evened out accordingly when Christine no longer had access to the bonus of welfare.
  17. LOLing at these variations. Meri’s doing it a little too brown with all that sweeping, flowery effusiveness about little Arebola.
  18. This toilet paper tutorial! Next week on TLC’s Sisterwives: Christine: For years Kody wouldn’t shit in my toilet. Meri: I don’t care where Kody shits. Robyn: Kody, please shit at Christine’s. Janelle: I’ve had to shit in basements with no windOws, ChrISTINE.”
  19. And when ur hubby has other needs to meet, there may not be enough opportunities to conceive.
  20. 100 % agreed. But Kody and crew reject the notion that they are anything like these other sects. I remember Christine not “knowing men could be such bastards”. The plyg lites either ignore the fact that all polygamy groups originate from the same fetid source or they just hope to trick the women into believing they gave full consent - even though there’s no way to give true consent when one is blind and deceived from the start.
  21. ALSO, all this queen wife/basement wife lingo gives the distinct impression that these men are not expected to be solvent enough to provide additional homes or an equitable plyg home before taking on extra ladies. How did Kody’s (male) elders okay him housing two or three ladies in a trailer? The term basement wife suggests (male) elders all over this practice are sanctioning unions where bankruptcy and welfare are possible outcomes. There’s something disturbing about a man being allowed to just shove a whole woman somewhere/anywhere and get to work on her with no financial (or otherwise) expectations on himself. There’s a hint of sex trafficking in here and I’m not ashamed to be so dramatic.
  22. When Christine says she didn’t stick up for her own kids like she did for Janelle’s, does she mean only during the day or do we assume this means all around and Kody didn’t either?
  23. if Robyn is so great at helping out the other relationships, why have two of them steadily gone downhill? And if Robyn is always having to correct Kody’s selfish, inconsiderate behavior to the other wives, why does she still like him? Also, if she keeps staying and keeps liking Kody, she has to think the trouble is someone else’s fault.
  24. Proponents of the Principle actually let you knOw that in order to be transformed, you are expected to put others first and to suffer. Expectedly, there are those who will always avoid suffering no matter the edict or feel they’ve suffered enough, so it’s someone else’s turn, but basically them’s the rules. So if Christine can’t take the suffering, she needs to admit The Principle is a lie. If she hasn’t already. At times I wonder if this family came to that conclusion long ago and are now acting out the process for the cameras.
