  1. LOL! Robyn looked pissed af when Meri made her little joke about the made up rules, but Meri only mentions Kody’s negative reaction. Also, this joke was obviously and childishly pointed at Christine and Janelle, so I’m not too sad it backfired on her. Did Meri think her mean-girl support of Robyn was actually distinguishing Meri herself from the unwanted wives? Because, newsflash… This little vignette was also pretty expositive of Meri’s generally stunted and off-putting demeanor. It’s also expositive of how Meri’s disturbingly toadyish role of lady in waiting to the queen has never actually gotten Meri anywhere with the king. And these detailed rules that pointedly focus on basic cleanliness, partnered with Kody’s TH that focuses on laziness, seem to be more for the purpose of suggesting to the world at large that C and J are filthy garbage monkeys with diseased hands, who have to be schooled. Someone is peddling this narrative super hard. Also!! Robyn’s little embarrassed, you-caught-us laughter about the months it took to come up with these rules. She expects us to believe she thought nothing amiss with that during those months?
  2. Kody wants this land for his own use some reason and has bestowed the gatekeeper role to Janelle.
  3. Polygamy.org on Facebook called BS on Robyn’s TH about refusing to let her children be treated unfairly in Utah — even though polygamy has been decriminalized and her family members live in liberty there. How badly would they be treated in their own polygamous community? Flagstaff is preferable to a place where they can attend church and hobnob with like-minded believers? And now we’re on to something. Robyn may not want to move to a polygamous community where her children will be different - since R & K are actually now monogamists. OR Kodes and Christine broke up long ago and this is just the fake narrative the cast members are following to get us all caught up - without throwing shade on their old or current polygamous community. Although, that has been done regularly just by turning on a camera.
  4. I think Kody & Co. decided to invest in land for future resale, then use it as a plot line for free advertising from TLC.
  5. I actually look for Robyn to leave after Christine because she wrote in her bestseller that she turned down (ALL) her suitors who didn’t want to live polygyny. So since Kody is no longer living polygyny, I’m figuring the only thing for Robyn to do is leave too. I mean, right? Hello? Right? ETA: OR she could take on Meri’s old job as head wife finder. Yeah, she’ll probably do that instead.
  6. I was truly hyped about the new episode, but today I’m wondering if I can watch this abuse as it unfolds. If I go by the clips, I’ll be irritated, frustrated, and dumbfounded weekly - slowly. It was bad enough watching the male openly abuse the females, now we have to watch the females openly (and apparently unashamedly) abuse each other - and the children - then act as if the rEAl issue is simply current circumstances or particular personalities. It’s like they all decided to leave polygyny, but want to state their cases, air petty grievances, and take parting shots on the way out to convince us that their behavior was justified. They are condemning each other instead of polygyny and it’s increasing more unacceptable to me.
  7. I’m sure it was because Christine was the most resistant to Robyn.
  8. If Christine is back in Utah, she might be planning to “marry” back into polygamy. She didn’t say she was leaving the faith. If she dOes marry someone else, maybe he could “adopt”Truely”. Hee hee. Wow to the sudden realization that Robyn “married” a “man” just like her former husband.
  9. Why didn’t Christine leave when she had more children at home? It would’ve been interesting to watch Kody have visitation with all those kids at his and Robyn’s place - with no help from the actual mom. Just Robyn and her fridge with the note ordering Kody’s children to check with her before eating.
  10. And I believe that Janelle’s purchase of the RV is quite likely an Indicator of actual wealth rather than proof of dire straits. These days I’m wondering if Kody has given a lump sum of cash as a settlement to all discarded wives and we are seeing the results.
  11. Christine leaving the state is not the same as leaving Kody. She can’t leave a man who already left hER. TLC and the gang prolly just want this to look like Christine is taking her life in her own hands because it’ll be popular with viewers.
  12. Kind of like how the Browns get all the attention for polygamy while young girls in polygamous communities around the globe are systematically disadvantaged and victimized - with no money or mansions at all?
  13. The Ashley Reality Roundup is reporting that Meri has just unfollowed her “husband” and sister”wives” on SM. Some say it’s just a bid to drum up interest in the “new” season, and I agree. Unless something drastic happened in the last few weeks, which I suppose is not impossible, Meri has a good relationship with Sol and Ari - and therefore, Robyn.
  14. It would’ve been better for Janelle to just leave that negative comment “sittin there” unanswered if she was only going to deal with the issue of her perceived meekness (read weakness). Janelle’s failure to take this opportunity to clear up some misconceptions leaves us to assume the poster was correct about the “wives” actually not liking each other or being available to each other in tight spots.
  15. Brave — enough to meet a stranger at Disney Land.
  16. It’s also possible they get regular donations like ministers and missionaries, since some of their fellow believers may see them as such. And there may be paid speaking engagements to rally the faithful troops. As for Janelle, is she using her RV in conjunction with her real estate powers to sell the lots on CP?
  17. Kody never swings by to take her to the gym with him?
  18. Does this mean the wet bar issue was staged for the show? 😜
  19. Kody has never looked more like the stereotypical polygamist man than in the pic above.
  20. I wonder if the dark-haired, preexistence baby checked to make sure Ysabel had insurance before bat-signalling Robyn.
  21. My ongoing suspicion that all Kody’s “marriages” except the one with Robyn ended some time ago is strengthened after watching Kody’s treatment of Ysabel. In my experience, sOme men behave similarly toward their children after a divorce. They are either busy finding a new gf or building a relationship with a current gf and her children. These fathers frequently fail to pick up their own children after scheduling a special weekend or dinner date. They won’t even FaceTime during the days between visits. My former bil has been a model father and grandfather to his new wife’s family, but he barely saw his own children the first four years after the divorce. And guess what? All his children except for one, brag on what a great dad he is. It seems to me that when a man treats his children this way long enough, they are so desperate to be seeing him again they will do/believe anything to keep that up. This also resulted in some inexplicable resentment towards the mother who was just trying to get on with her own life as well. Hmmm My late mil said back in the ‘30’s it was common for men to straight up leave their families when divorcing and start over without any back and forth with the children. So if Kody is not already “divorced” from a couple (at least) of his “wives”, his behavior shows us that his heart is divorced. He clearly is disgusted by their lack of whatever “values” he personally finds relevant - though their shared religion isn’t among those reasons?? Do the ladies not share his Qanon values? And does he plan to simply leave his children alone with such “valueless” women?
  22. Has anyone mentioned that maybe it was the (nonexistent) money for the surgery that garnered this hideous reaction from Kody as well? Was he thinking, “Oh, crap. Can we have some more time to scrounge?” Was the threat of sending Ysabel to the surgery alone designed to scare her into staying home until he could find some cash in the couch cushions? Also, JAnElle. Why is she on my screen casting doubt on Christine’s statement about Ysabel being bullied over her parent’s lifestyle. What? Has bullying disappeared in this day and age? Unheard of, in fact? And Kody. Tryna get out so fast he hardly let Janelle stand up for a kiss. AND WHY ARE HIS KISSES SO BRIEF?? For 85 years I’ve watched him kiss his “wives” as quickly as possible. He always ends it first, two nanoseconds in, and the ladies always accept it like law.
  23. Kody’s statement about just wanting to be there for Ysabel’s surgery was belied by the fact that he wanted her to go alone. Not the solution of a person intent on being present. Would hE go alone to his own spinal surgery? Or even a tonsillectomy? Even if family members lived in the area? Is he trying to foist his responsibility onto Christine’s family? Something like this? Okay, I’ll stop. His motto of “Where we go one we go all” should be changed to “Where we should go we go not”.
  24. I’m wondering if Christine wants Kody to move back to Utah so badly because she hopes the plural community there can shame him into loving her again. When I think of the young women (not to mention the Brown daughters) who will see these ladies digging their own pits and lighting their own pyres for this one ungodly, weak man, I gasp at the grand irresponsibility of it. ThIS is what they want for society at large? For womanhood at large? I begin to see them as no better than the man they tear at for their own selfish wants, while letting their children swing. And if this is all just a plot contrivance, their actions are even wOrse.
  25. I hope girls watching this show don’t attempt to emulate any of the ideas promoted therein. I hope/pray this is not the only brush they have with God - because then it might be the last.
