Someone on Reddit shared the obituary site for the boyfriend’s late wife and I read in the comments that she attended mass every Saturday.

I think Kody had something to do with this idea.

Did anyone see the blog post from Speaking of Polygamy where one of the wives of the polygamist man that now lives in the Lehi house discusses the hot water heater and how Kody used to take 2 to 2.5 hour showers?

Did Christine possibly announce her dating journey in order to get this fellow to take their relationship to another level? I don’t think so, but it’s extremely odd that these announcements are so close together. I heard weeks ago that Christine was seen at some sort of rodeo with a bald man, so I assumed this meant they had broken up. But after seeing the photo and the fact that he has had time to get introduced to Truly, I see that it’s most likely the same man. It’s also possible Kody knew who this man was when he said Christine was moving to Utah in order to date. With the way these folks lie, I wouldn’t be surprised if Christine has been dating this man for a long while -because her marriage ended long before they said.

My sister made a point. Robyn said she gave her purity to someone and he threw it on the ground. But didn’t Davis Jessop mArry her and make a family? Which begs the question, did someone ELse steal her purity? I can’t remember that speech clearly.

I just watched a clip of Christine discussing how her current hairstyle makes her look like a “frickin’ polygamist”. I’m wondering if her necklace is from MSWC. Any thoughts?

I thought the same. He’s been shouting it from the rooftops for years. This one-on-one just confirms to me that these first three marriages ended long, long ago and they are just acting out currentish splits to hide the deceit that kept the show going. I do believe it’s possible there were some business disagreements and a couple of them who felt their fan base was big enough to go it alone took their chance while they could. This could have led to the other partners feeling betrayed and with fewer opportunities. There are too many lies and contradictions. Lots of this doesn’t even make sense - like Janelle living in an RV on the property to force something to happen there. That reason never rang true.

A story in the New Testament actually deals with this issue, so it appears Kody doesn’t read that work as religiously as he abstains from pork. Four sexual partners, no pork, blame Jesus.

I’m sure this is a way to actually recruit folks to her down line, a scam in both directions. The $6,000 price tag is to weed out undesirables.

Perfectly said. I’ve been waiting for this scenario to happen for years! I’ve always thought Kody kept faking a marriage to Christine in order to keep her on the show and/or to keep Robyn from having to host Christine’s kids for visitation. Kody’s first thought is that Christine is casting her eye around for a possible mate. That’s because that’s what hE has always done. Meri letting Robyn ask the hard questions was sooo telling. It means Meri didn’t feel like she had the right to ask questions about the marriage since she’s checked out of that. But she did feel all right making snarkaroo comments from the sidelines because she felt Christine was jeopardizing the show, which she’s involved in. Janelle pressing Christine about Truely when she knows Kody is absent from Janelle’s OWN children’s lives meant she was suddenly worried about the show as well since the Browns are obviously contracted to do holiday shows each year. All this leads me to believe that these marriages imploded long ago and they are just reenacting that process. If there is a current problem, it’s visitation. Christine got talked into staying for and moving for the show and so her girls could see their dad only to have the rug pulled out from under her.

I’m sure Kody told Christine that was how he wanted it shot, so the film crew didn’t have control of the footage. Because if millions of people are going to eventually be privy to it, why bother making a fuss about privacy? Since everyone knew Christine was leaving, this part of the plot is the hardest to watch. It’s asinine.

If Kody helped care for his children when his wives were otherwise engaged, he would do nothing else in life. He would constantly be needed. This is of course why he tricks the women into helping with their sister wives’ children. He turns it into a way for them to please him. I’m sure he also absolutely mUst discuss wives with other wives in order to drop hints about what he does and doesn’t like in order to manipulate circumstances. I see this situation being unavoidable in all plural situations. There’s no way whispering, manipulation, and mean-girling isn’t rAmpant. So my real curiosity is not about the social inner workings of these “marriages” but about why a situation designed to provide abundant sex for the man seems to devolve into less sex for the man. And that it’s the mAn who works it out that way.

Kody’s just assuming all these women can Get is catfished. That’s all he’s worried about.

How predatory is that? Get rid of a woman in every emotional, mental way, then hit it once or twice a year when the mood strikes.

I also Just realized Kody inadvertently gave something away when he was insisting Christine not get a greedy boyfriend. That is what Meri did. So Kody just admitted that Meri had gotten her own post-divorce boyfriend. That divorce was real. Change my mind.

I’m sure you’re on to something. It would make sense. I also think Kody would rather visit his daughters infrequently at Christine’s than be forced to have his visitation with them at Robyn’s. I noticed Kody’s silent reaction when Christine called him out on only sleeping with her once or twice a year. He was probably wincing because Robyn didn’t even know it was that often.

Such good points. I’m sure Kody’s reasons for wanting to keep Christine and Truely in the same state were self-serving and deceitful. And I think we can start inserting the word “show” for all the times Kody says the word “family”.

In the clip, Kody explains that Christine had been saying for a year that she was going to leave him. But Christine has already disclosed that it’s been yEArs since they slept together. So the very reason she has been threatening to leave is the excuse he gives for not sleeping with her. This is diabolical. And if one is not comfortable with such terms, then it is manipulative, immature, stunted, limited, small, and gross. If any of this garbage is true, it appears that Kody wanted to be free of Christine while tricking her into staying for the show. This means Meri and Robyn were in on this trickery since we know they were tattling, whispering, and sharing secrets al a high school lunch room.
