    It has poured here for the past few days and snowed most of the day today. 

    Came home yesterday to water on the floor, and two big bubbles forming on the kitchen ceiling.  A few hours later, one of them burst and now we have a nice hole! Apparently the landlord had fixed it right before we moved in, two days before Christmas. But he can't do anything else until it warms up.

    Is all inclusive even possible in a place like this? Seems to me there's ALWAYS going to be some who don't fit in, feel offended,  or left out. I understand trying to be kinder, but the all inclusive doesn't seem likely.  JMO.

    Wasn't the point of TWOP (and this site) as being places for snark? I realize snark isn't for everyone,  but I think we've been pretty respectful and not nearly as snark as we could be.

    I hope they don't close it down like they did the Royals thread. Just there, little to no explanation and not letting us react.

    If anybody is interested in discussing the Royals, I might know of a place. DM me if you're interested.

    I was hoping since they closed the Royals thread that we could talk about it in chit chat (since that to me says talk about ANYTHING), but, apparently we can't even talk about them there. Does anyone know of somewhere (other than reddit) that we can?

    Saw my Dr today about my vertigo.  He's sending me to a neurologist.  I see them tomorrow.  I hope I can find out something.  I can't afford to keep missing work/getting sent home because of it.

    I've been here since TWOP, and at least when TWOP closed we had a place to go (here). 

    This whole place has helped me get through some difficult times, this topic and a few others. I feel like I'm losing my lifeline.

    If it comes to it, please DM me, too. 

     

    I'm thankful for all of you and the delicious snark, that gave me laughs when they were sorely needed.

    Requesting help to change titles for locked threads.

    When I took the survey they offered when they blackboarded the royals thread, at the end it asked if people were interested in being mods. I answered yes (this was before I knew about the changes in the whole team). One of them got back to me about it, so they are looking for mods. I refused it, because right now my vertigo is kicking my butt. But if you're interested,  maybe you should volunteer.

    @beckie, I get severe bouts of vertigo and I have found the exercises for benign paroxysmal  positional vertigo very helpful. Also google exercises for vertigo. They are very easy to do. I do them when I have vertigo, but also every few weeks, hopefully preventing the attacks. Good luck!

    Have you ever had a head CT or MRI?  I hate to sound scary, but a head CT after a bad session of vertigo is how they discovered my brain tumor.  Apparently, lots of people have non-cancerous tumors that grow over many years, and are not discovered until something doesn't feel right and they have a CT scan.  See what your doctor thinks.  Good luck.

    I've had both, but I guess it couldn't hurt to have them again. If, I can get my new Dr to take it seriously.

    Does anyone else here suffer from vertigo? I've had it for years, to varying different degrees,  but the attack I had this week was by far the worst, and still hasn't totally straightened itself out. 

    My old Dr was awesome with helping me try to figure out what worked for treating, or at least managing it. My new Dr doesn't seem too concerned.  I'm frustrated because I work in a factory and it's not safe for me to be there, but I can't afford to not work. 

    I'm going to try to get an appointment with my Dr this week and see if he will finally take it seriously and maybe have some other suggestions. Fingers crossed.

    This place was my go to when I was having a rough day. Specifically this forum and the royals, I could get lost in and feel better. Then they shut down the royals with little to no explanation,  and now they're trying to do it with this one?

     

    I'll download discord, I've never liked reddit, but will go there if I have to. I feel like I'm being excluded from one of my favorite places for no reason.  I'm so sad.

    That route doesn't make a lot of logistical sense, but I think Philadelphia must be one of their hubs. So that's the reason Jill and Dave were flying that way. It was the option on the days they flew, since they chose to fly with Frontier, so that's what they booked. (I did some reasrch because the route made no sense to me!) 

    Clearly they missed their connection from Philly to Orlando, but we don't know if that was an airline delay or something Jill and David messed up, or just not knowing to leave enough time between flights. Unless Jill tells us, it's speculation why/how they missed that flight and had to wait until the next morning. 

     

    Thanks for explaining that. Like I said,  I don't fly and I was wracking my brain trying to get it to make sense.

    Ok, maybe I'm dumb, but if they left the rv in FL, why we're they in the airport in Philadelphia? They clearly weren't flying back to Ohio. Somebody above mentioned they'd probably flown to Orlando before Philadelphia,  so why not just get picked up from/or rent a car from there? I don't fly so I guess I don't know the logistics of flying. 

    Also, did Jill do ANYTHING Plexus related while in Punta Cana? Because it seems like she and her hunk were busy doing everything else while God was so good to only her.

    Kaylee isn't the oldest, there are two siblings older than her, but she is in the older group.  Not that it makes much difference. Her education still sucks.
