  1. The paramedics didn't drop the kids off to Miguel's house, Jack and Rebecca did. He refused to be transported saying he'd go to the ER after they took the kids and got them settled at Miguel's house. The paramedics cannot force you to be transported. I am guessing that since he came in on his own not via the ambulance the ER didn't think he was as critical as he would have been if the paramedics had been monitoring him during the drive.

I agree. My daughter honored her sister with her choice of flowers, those closest to us understood the meaning.

    S05.E09: The Wolf Is Waiting

To an ambulance chasing lawyer whose precious son was hurt, I am thinking it doesn't matter. But isn't this the t-shirt selling kid? If so, I wonder if his mom knew why he was punched vs the dad if the outcome would be different because didn't she make him shut down his t-shirt selling? Plus as Scarlett45 pointed out you cannot just go around hitting every idiot you run into if you could then so many of us would be walking around with black eyes and broken jaws. Which brings me to the fact that if I were the university, I'd want to see proof that this kid was really hurt not just his ego.

    Dance Moms in the Media

I don't know about others but my daughter's and I loved DM Miami's teachers, it was the spoiled kids and horrible moms that we didn't like. We thought and I still think the difference was NOT Abby's persona but the fact that the DM's girls knew each other going in. They might not have been friends or had a team but they were all at Abby's studio. The kids on the other versions were not only cast but they were cast from different studios from who knows where. I really thing Miami would have survived if they'd used the kids from that guy's studio instead of bringing in people from who knows where. Because he would have been great to watch with his actual dancers. ETA: Abby was always hard on the girls when they were dancing but you saw the love/caring she had for them in the beginning. She morphed into her roll as the super villain as time went on where she was just outright mean. I think the show is destined to be cancelled no matter what they do because as stated above with the Miami group: it will be all casted kids (like the minis) who have no real chemistry with each other and a teacher that is acting a part from the beginning. I learned her (or on TWOP) that a mom, Christy maybe, pitched this show to save Abby's studio. If that is true their original motive for a reality show was nothing like the new moms coming in. They wanted to HELP their teacher not be "stars" but as they all learned you don't get one without the other.

S07.E12: It's Not Always Sunny in Pittsburgh

When Abby and Kalani were talking about Kalani wanting to dance after Kira's blowup, Abby said she wanted her to dance because "we plan the dance for the cast that is there". Interesting. We also noticed that Elliana and Lilliana had a duet and Kalani had a solo as she was in her costume from a couple of weeks ago backstage. Sad we didn't get to see either of those dances because they were not part of the planned show. ETA: I cannot stand Cathy and her apples.

I caught that comment too. I hope that she doesn't have lasting issues with her weight/mental health over this time in her life.

    Dance Moms in the Media

They did this with Dance Moms Miami, it sucked. Not the teachers because I kind of liked them but the rest was a train wreck. I think the original appeal of DM was that these kids had been dancing together for a while and the dynamics of the kids and their moms. In the beginning, we saw more dancing and in my opinion more "organic" conversations the moms had in the loft area. That was what we liked. DM Miami didn't have that because most of the people, like the current DM's crew, were cast for their "part not actually people from the school. Sadly, I think this one's going to be deleted from my DVR after this season is done.

    S01.E03: Operation Cupid's Revenge

We started watching with high hopes for a good new show. For myself that has flown quickly out of the window; DH who is easily entertained still likes it. In my mind if I think of this as a "reality" show I am rooting for the contestants to win because it's a show. But if I think it through of course I want the law enforcement guys/gals to win...because if they cannot catch these people then what about the real criminals. But if any of this is close to accurate as far as the gov't being able to access things like computers, cell phones etc of the family and friends of the fugitives as easily as they are showing then I really am disturbed.

    S07.E08: ALDC Ain't Dead Yet

Hollywood Forever when I heard they were going to the cemetery I wondered if this was the one. Over Christmas break my husband and I watched a show about how people use "get rich quick" schemes and end up in jail. This cemetery was mentioned because the son of a man running a Ponzi scheme bought it and revamped it even showed movies on a screen and people sat on the graves having picnics. All that to say it doesn't surprise me that they allowed the show to film there because they use the money to keep up the cemetery. ETA: Wiki link with more info on the interesting history of the cemetery.

    S07.E06: No Clowning Around

I cannot believe that Maci's mom did not turn around and walk out when Abby spoke to her that way. I looked at my 15 year old and said no way no how would I allow someone to speak to me that way not matter what you wanted. I like Holly, I liked that she called it for what it was with Nia and Camryn being against each other in the head to head thing. That being said, I have learned the hard way not to make statements about being here before someone and being here when they are gone. Sadly, it doesn't work that way. I am sure Christy and Kelly felt they were there longer than Jill and would out last her but that's not the case.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Season 1

This is how I felt about that scene too. If I had been hounded by someone regarding taking a position at their company for almost a year it would shock me if they were just interviewing. I mean that girl sent gifts to woo her and it seemed to me like she'd been offered a position not being told hey we'd like to talk to you about a position.

    Married By Mom And Dad

I have attended a wedding at the venue where Devin and Ursula are getting married; it is beautiful IRL. There's a long history behind the building too. Anyway, on topic. I just cannot stand to listen to Devin talk his teeth are so unnaturally white that it is driving me bonkers. I really cannot believe his family doesn't realize what a HUGE jerk he really is. Note to parents: get your head out of the sand and acknowledge your child is a self centered.

    S01.E01: Winter

I liked that coat so much that my husband searched for weeks to find it for me. He didn't find Lorelai's but he still got me a pink coat a few years ago for Christmas. I might tell him the "real" one is at Nordstrom.
  17. Women in FL married over a certain # of years do get alimony and a lot of it if you get a good attorney. Someone we know just went through a divorce, I was SHOCKED at what his wife got even though she was the one who left. He is a good guy, she took him to the cleaners.
  18. When my daughter was in high school she started calling my husband potato as a joke. I cannot remember the reason but I think it had something to do with a foreign language word she'd messed up. She's about to get married and I am going to tell her to send her dad one of those potato grams because he'd love it. Also my friend's teenager recently told her that she wanted to mail a potato to a friend because she'd read online that you could even without packaging. My friend thought she was crazy. They just missed a business opportunity.

Pet Peeves: The Holy Trinity and Beyond

I tell my now adult daughter this all the time; that she has to realize that what she sees her dad and I with we've worked almost 30 years to have. We started off in a mobile home with a love seat and no kitchen table. :-) We sat on the floor so our guests could have a place to sit. Fun times as newlyweds. The only place that I have found appropriate for a "barn" door is the strangely laid out master bath in our vacation home. You have to go through the closet to get the the bathroom and there's no door on EITHER. There's no good place to have a closet door and a traditional door would not work properly because of the swing into the closet; we thought about a pocket door but the plumbing is in the only place that would work. So, a barn door would give privacy in the bath but still give access to the plumbing if there's an issue. It is the ONLY place I'd ever have one and that only for much needed privacy. Right now we just lock the bedroom door.

S04.E02: You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello

I was just clarifying WHO has her child. It's also my opinion that keeping someones child while they make a questionable decision while seen as "enabling" the parent can also be view as protecting the child. I feel like Nicole acts less mature than my 15 yr old. I also know from experience (and I am a strict parent) that my 21 yr old is going to do what she wants to do when she wants to do it because she doesn't live under our roof nor do we fund her life.

    Toddlers & Tiaras

It warmed me to her just a tad. Because as much as she kind of annoys me she clearly cares about that child. My oldest child lost her baby teeth and got her "adult" teeth very early. I think they choose to question her age because they had a beef with the sister "always" winning that pageant. They couldn't attack the sister so they went after her because yes she is big for her age and they could justify it. I think Cadence's moms are going to regret spoiling that child when she hits her preteen/teen years. I think the pageant coordinator enjoyed the drama stemming from the birth certificate and the coaching.
  24. Just found this pilot on NetFlix yesterday. My husband and I watched three episodes and could have easily binged the whole 1st season but decided that we would pace ourselves since it is easily the best show we've seen in a long long time. Is it 6 seasons?

    Brother Vs. Brother

My husband is in commercial construction so I saved the episode for him to see. He said they probably braced it off camera. I love the look of the exposed beam. Maybe the neighborhood of Jonathan's house was bad but transitioned. The bars may have been necessary at some point but not now.
