  1. My partner and I just started watching this series, we are up to the beginning of season 2 now. I didn't know much about the show before, only that it was about a guy with cancer who needed money for treatment. Apart from that, I didn't know anything else about it but I vaguely remember that it had some X Files alumni in it. Then I realised that Vince Gilligan was the writer and producer so I knew it would be a good show. My partner wasn't sure what to expect either, thinking it would be dark and serious. We were both pleasantly surprised with the adsurdness of the show and black humour in it. Afterall, Vince Gilliagan was responsible for some of the more lighthearted episodes of The X Files. We will keep watching for sure!
  2. I would still watch an NE reboot because I loved the show too. Even if Maggie isn't in it....
  3. I have the entire series of Northern Exposure on DVD and I have watched it from start to finish a few times. However, I have watched season 1 to the end of season 5 many times as I didn't really like season 6 much. I have also heard that Janine Turner won't be in the possible reboot. I also heard that in this possible reboot, Joel returns to Cicely for the funeral of an old friend. At first I thought that would definitely be Ruth Ann because the actress, Peg Philips has already passed away. Then again, maybe Maggie has passed away? Its possible that Ruth Ann has just moved away from Cicely although she was no spring chicken way back then either. Whatever they decide to do, I hope Janine Turner is in it. I agree, how can there be Joel with no Maggie??
  4. I can't decide which season is my favorite as there are so many good episodes throughout the entire series. For me, its a toss up between seasons 5 and 6 but season 7 was also great. I have lots of favorite episodes too, probably way more than 10 but I will just list 10: 1.Humbug 2. Bad Blood - hilarious episode! 3. Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose 4. Home - for the creepiness 5. Small Potatoes - hilarious! 6. Badlaa - another creepy one 7. Roadrunners 8. Brand X 9. Triangle 10. Dreamland I & II
  5. My partner and I watched Six Feet Under from start to finish last year. I had re-watched it a few times but he hadn't seen the entire series. He loved the finale too. I could re-watch it again, I just love the show so much!
  6. Carnivale was excellent! I own both seasons on DVD and I have re-watched it number of times. I think I read somewhere online that there were going to be 5 seasons of Carnivale originally, until it got cancelled.
  7. It was like Carla wanted Peter to help her when she was pregnant and after Reese was born so obviously she used him as a father figure, until Roger came along. I'm so glad Peter won custody of Reese after Carla died, even though he wasn't his biological father. To me, Peter was always a father to Reese. I couldn't stand Sam's son at first but when he got older and the actor was changed that played him, I found him more tolerable. Sam wasn't really my favorite character either.
  8. I read somewhere, back in the day that they had Carla die in that car accident so there was no way her character could come back and yes, I also read that Lisa Nicole Carson was difficult to work with so they killed Carla off.
  9. I loved the Bill Hodges Trilogy. Finders Keepers was definitely my favorite book of the trilogy. Its a pity that season 2 of Mr Mercedes follows the third book, End of Watch instead of Finders Keepers, it would have made a fantastic season 2. In saying that though, seasons 1 and 2 of Mr Mercedes were great!
  10. I didn't really like Jeanie at all. To me she seemed to think she was entitled to everything after she fought to get her job back (after she was diagnosed with HIV) and I actually disliked her even more after that. I couldn't stand Carla either, the way she treated Peter was terrible and she just seemed fake to me. In the later seasons, I hated Brenner, I hated everything about him.
  11. I know its an older film but Noah Wyle was in Donnie Darko. Plus the actress that played Carter's mother on ER, Mary McDonnell played Donnie's mother although I don't think they had any scenes together. The actor who played Lucien Dubenko (Leland Orser) was in The X Files episode 'Firewalker' from season 2, as a scientist with bipolar disorder.
