  1. Seriously?! Yuck that’s awful. From what I’ve seen, the kids all seem very happy for each other. They’re commenting on each other’s posts positively and just congratulating each other all around.
  2. To be fair, this is a competition and it’s natural to be disappointed as your first reaction to losing. Artyon seems genuinely happy for them based on his posts to their Instagrams all the time.
  3. First off, I think Sky absolutely deserved to win! She pretty much embodies everything I like about the show. Great personality, started with zero dance experience and worked hard to become a great dancer by the end. Absolutely loved the whole team dynamic with Alan and JT. Speaking of JT, he seriously deserves more credit. Always super supportive of Sky no matter what happens and never tries to "outdance" her like some of the other pros. I hope they'll stay close friends for a long time. I hope they renew this for a 2nd season. The adult version is getting very stale to be entirely honest... With all that said...all the negativity on social media regarding Sky's win is absolutely sickening. I get you guys are upset the person you're rooting for didn't win. That's fine, just leave it at that. She's just 10 years old. I'm not sure how well she can handle that much negativity being aimed at her at that age. There's no reason to point fingers and keep posting how undeserved her win was all over Instagram.
  4. In terms of Sky’s speeches, again it’s mainly due to the very positive audience reaction. Kids her age don’t know any better so when they receive that much of an applause for what they’re doing, they’re more likely to continue it. I think if she was older, she would definitely tone them down. IIRC, I think she’s the youngest contestant left on the show.
  5. Just sitting and watching the show yesterday, you really have to wonder why Mackenzie wasn’t on the adult show. She’s clearly WAY beyond anyone else in this competition technically and just seems so out of place. This is nothing against her, just the producers who put her on the show. That aside, I think my clear favorite to win at this point is Sky just because of how much she’s improved for coming in with zero experience. She handled that extremely difficult choreography on the tango like a champ. I honestly don’t mind the speeches too much. Like someone said earlier, she really is just thanking her mentors for all their hard work. All that being said, I wouldn’t be upset at all if Ariana or Miles won. They all deserve it just as much.
  6. I feel Val has some negative critiques to give, but is holding back due to them being kids. There’s multiple instances where it looks like he’s about to say something, but stops himself. I get he wants to be a nice guy, but this IS a competition and he should be doing his job. Totally agree pretty much anyone with dance experience could replace Adam.
  7. I don't think it's by production, just the general reaction to it by the judges and audience. This is very typical of kids. Kids (especially young ones) LOVE praise so when she's constantly getting these great reactions after saying her speeches, it just encourages her to say them more and more. Of course as an adult, you wouldn't want to respond negatively to a kid doing a generally positive thing, even if you're getting annoyed. So it just begins the cycle of what's happening currently with Sky and her speeches. I would prefer she tone down on the speeches, but I'm assuming she won't since the show is already prerecorded.
  8. I think the troupe are just junior pros that didn’t make it into the actual show. I think Mikaela was supposed to be a pro, but she was dropped in favor of someone else due to a better height match for the celebrity.
  9. I thought Mandla really showed promise last week. (He got all 9s). Too bad he went backwards this week. I thought he would have a chance if he had a good performance again. It's too bad as Sky has REALLY stepped up her game these past 2 weeks, and Mandla just hasn't gotten to that level, so it was definitely the right call for him to leave. And as far as I'm aware, there's no elimination next week, so these are the F4 for the finale. A VERY good group imo. Any of them deserve to win, though I personally really hope Mackenzie doesn't.
  10. Definitely will have to agree with the music tonight. Not sure why they didn't choose songs from the eras they were dancing in. Miles was the only one who had a good song choice. I get they're kids, but you don't need to do pop for every single dance. Sky's could get a pass just because that was used in The Great Gatsby and matched the dance very well. I say the standouts tonight were Miles and Sky. Miles absolutely redeemed himself after last week. Slow dances just don't seem like his strong suit. Sky lost timing in a few parts, but I felt hers was definitely the most fun to watch tonight. Sad Cheryl didn't give Mandla good choreo this week. He's good dancer, just seemed to live and die by her choreo. And sadly tonight was one of those bad nights. I think he had a good chance to make the semifinals if he did well here :/
  11. I think this might be one of those reasons I really love Sky. She is willing to put in the work no matter how hard it is and it’s finally paying off in a big way. What makes this all the more impressive is I heard they all had to learn 2 dances each week. Some of the adults even have trouble with that! The 9 week season was actually more of a 5 week one. I also think JT deserves more credit. Unlike some of the other Jr pros, I never see him trying to outdance Sky. He always play the support or encouragement role which is just plain amazing to see.
  12. I thought Sky’s dance was the best of the competition so far. Not really sure why there is so much dislike for her here, but oh well. There’s just something about her chemistry with JT that none of the other contestants have. Even if she isn’t the best technically, her showmanship and attitude is far above the rest. Mackenzie absolutely is the best technical dancer, but I never get the same feeling from her dances for whatever reason.
  13. Same here..Knowing the coming results and suspiciously low score for Sky this week, the conspiracy theory really could be happening. I’ll wait until next week’s results before actually making that conclusion though.
  14. I can't tell if the judges are just pressed for time so they don't give actual critiques or they don't want to hurt the kids' feelings. If this show comes back, it needs a 2 hr time slot or at least an hour and a half imo. Anyways, I absolutely loved Ariana's dance and thought it had a good blend of hip hop and jazz compared to the other "jazz" dances. Only time I'm agreeing with Adam's score lol Speaking of Adam...what is with him and his dislike of Sky? He always seems to underscore her for whatever reason. That dance had a very rough start but absolutely no way that was deserving of a 7. I thought she nailed the rest of the dance once the chorus kicked in. Her and JT seem to be a match made in heaven. So well paired. I think Mandla has potential, but he's constantly held back by Cheryl's subpar choreo. Idk why, but recently her choreo hasn't been the best even on the main show (too much reliance on troupe). Akash should be the next to go. He's obviously outclassed by everyone else at this point. He's adorable, but that can only take you so far.
