  1. Wow, little Jimmy sure was working hard to get his spin out to the blogs. He certainly isn't the innocent little hero he claims to be. This lengthy article explains the whole scheme at CTI: How a drug for few patients was turned into $81 million in sales Note this part where little Jimmy was not only aware of the fraudulent off label marketing but crowed about the money the company was making from it: Also, here are the two NY Times articles about his whistle blower case: Whistle-Blower Finds a Finger Pointing Back (October 25, 2007) There's too much about sleazeball Jimmy that I'd like to quote from that one, so I'll just let people read it for themselves. Whistle-Blower Is Awarded $1.6 Million (December 21, 2007) Regarding Jim and his ex-wife, I posted this in the thread for Episode 4: I only skimmed a couple of pages (out of 20!) and I can tell that many posts have been deleted. Jim the Weasel was obviously posting on there, but some say his ex-wife (Rebecca) was also. When I Googled her name I learned that she and her sister owned a title company and were indicted in December 2009 for stealing over $780,000 from their clients (and using the money to finance a luxury lifestyle filled with lavish vacations and Ferraris): http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2009/12/nj_real_estate_title_agencies.html Apparently, she eventually pled guilty and then Jim sued her for custody (she had sole custody since the divorce in 2004). When he lost, he filed an appeal, which he lost in November of last year: http://caselaw.findlaw.com/nj-superior-court-appellate-division/1649831.html I know it shouldn't surprise me anymore, but I continue to be amazed at people who put themselves and their families on reality TV when they have so much dirt that can easily be found on the internet.
  2. Good luck with it, stillshimpy. Yeah, that's really the same one I have, they just market the different colors differently. Let us know how you like it.
  3. I checked their website, and here's the info for Episode 3, which airs on Monday: You can scroll through the episodes on that page and see the guests for all six episodes. No Lamar Sally anywhere. Also, there's a preview of Monday's episode here: http://www.sundance.tv/series/the-approval-matrix/videos/the-approval-matrix-americas-hall-monitors-sneak-peek Did you maybe see that quick glimpse of Sherrod Small laughing and think it was Sal?
  4. This is what I find so weird about this show. The rumor is that they've hired October Gonzalez, who most people hadn't even heard of before. In all these months of having guest co-hosts, they never had her on, although she was reportedly at the secret audition with Rosie and Whoopi recently. I realize that they want to see a potential co-host's chemistry with Rosie and Whoopi. However the fact that they never had October Gonzalez do an on air try out until this very late date tells me they really do not give a crap what the audience thinks of her.
  5. That's great Mya Stone!
  6. I was looking for an air popper about a year ago, having not owned one for over twenty years and decided that my kid needed to experience real air popped popcorn, not those microwave bags. I read reviews on Amazon and went with this one: Presto 04821 Orville Redenbacher's Hot Air Popper I'm very happy with it. You don't need oil, the little butter melter on top is also a measuring cup for the kernels, it pops fast and just about every kernel is popped. The only minor issue is the same one possibilities mentioned for the other Presto model, that there's no on/off switch. You plug it in and go, then unplug when the popping is finished. That's not really a big deal for me, though. ETA: I just Googled the one possibilities mentioned and I think it's this one: Presto 04820 PopLite Hot Air Popper, White Ha, I just realized that we have the same one. Just click on the other white one and that's the one I have. It has the Orville Redenbacher name on it instead of PopLite and it's a couple of dollars more. All the different colors are priced differently and I'm pretty sure I got the one I did last year because it was the cheapest one at the time. I'd go with the other one now for $19.87. They'e all the same, just different colors and marketed differently with the name.
  7. Thanks for that link about St. Louis style pizza. I never heard of that before, so I found it interesting even if I don't think I'd like it at all. Also, I had never heard of Provel cheese before. It doesn't sound too good, which might explain why it's never expanded outside the St. Louis area.
  8. We got pizza from that place we tried a couple of weeks ago. It's not exactly nearby, but we loved the Grilled Vegetable Pizza so much that we just had to get it again. It's topped with grilled eggplant, zucchini, portobello mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, and roasted red peppers with balsamic vinaigrette That looks so good, and easy too. Thanks for the link; I'm going to try it soon. I might add some crumbled goat cheese on top when serving it. Thanks for the link to the recipe for Herb Crusted Lamb Chops with Mint Pesto. I don't like mint that much, but Mr. LB loves mint jelly with his lamb chops. I'm going to try this because I think he'd really like it.
  9. The "new" logo looks more like a throwback compared to the current one: I couldn't agree more with all of you that the social media aspect is NOT a good idea. I could not care less about what some random viewer has to say about the show, any more than I wanted to see their boring family photos on a gigantic, distracting wall. Basically, THIS: I detest this nonsense so much that I might change my plans to start DVR'ing the show again. That Jezebel article links to the ABC press release: Has anyone seen any commercials yet? The press release said there would be "promotional teaser spots" with a look at the new direction starting today. Also, they say that Rosie will sit opposite Whoopi. So, that means Rosie gets Barbara's chair, I guess. It looks like they will be slowly announcing the other co-hosts, ("Who will join this powerhouse duo and complete the dynamic panel? Stay tuned.") It's ridiculous that they come back on air so late in September, the 15th.
  10. I really don't think the central issue is that Sherri took Niecy's advice. The way I see it, her BFF Niecy Nash landed herself a huzzzbin, had a big wedding, and even a teevee wedding special. Sherri wanted the same and followed suit on all three counts right behind Niecy: Niecy Nash - Wikipedia: Sherri Shepherd - Wikipedia:
  11. Ugh, I can't stand Danielle. I just watched that clip and I think that, as usual, she's a bullshitting drama queen. Nice acting job there, Staub.
  12. Hot Italian chicken sausage, baby red potatoes (quartered), red/yellow/orange pepper strips, sliced onions on a baking sheet with olive oil, salt and pepper, and lots of oregano. So good, if I do say so myself.
  13. Hate to say it, but I think neither one of these two looked very good in the preview.
  14. I know. I think I screamed at the TV at that point. I found the camera tricks so distracting and annoying. Enough already!
  15. A basic, simple oldie - not very creative but pretty good: Chicken drumsticks coated with extra crispy Shake 'n Bake, with rice, salad, and brussels sprouts (for Mr. LB only because brussels sprouts are one of the few veggies I won't eat).
  16. We get take out from Qdoba fairly regularly. I agree that they're very good and worth a try.
  17. We finally watched the second episode over the weekend and those camera stunts are driving me up a freaking wall. It's like someone learned a bunch of new tricks and is dying to show it off.... all at once, and over and over again. I'm over it.
  18. I finally got confirmation that the twins are from Brooklyn. I know we've discussed it in various threads and I've said they sound like they're from Brooklyn and that it's definitely not a NJ accent: Meet New Jersey Newbie Nicole Mauriello: Tough, Divorced, and Ready for The One
  19. That's exactly what I was wondering. Her Bravo bio says: She's worked for Jets.com in Red Bank, NJ for the last four and a half years: http://www.jets.com/ http://www.manta.com/c/mw2yf27/jets-com Using her married name, (Nicole Mauriello): http://www.linkedin.com/pub/nicole-mauriello/29/213/bb8?trk=biz_employee_pub
  20. She's a vile human being, just like her troll husband. ETA: @zoeysmom, thanks for posting that blog link. Here's the link to Page 1 of her three page blog (your link goes to Page 3): http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-jersey/season-6/blogs/amber-marchese/amber-i-pray-we-can-all-move-on?page=0,0
  21. Yes, it's hard for me to believe, but the introduction of d-bag Tiny Jim and Ambah has resulted in my actually liking the Joe's and everyone else, relatively speaking. I never would have thought that.
  22. I don't think Jeffrey was in Atlanta all week with Sherri, because on Friday night she tweeted this: You're right; she flew there just to drop Jeffrey off and turn around to go back east: ETA: Oops, sorry. We were posting at around the same time.
