  1. It’s not coming out that seems to be a problem. As the Deception crew spelled out, many of their clients are LGBTQ+ and they won’t like that someone representing the company is hiding in the closet and clearly has a homophobic mom. It seems to be more about appearances than anything else
  2. Based on some of the social media comments some characters commented on, the problem could be Blaze was in the closet, indicating she might be ashamed of being gay. And Kristina indicated comments were saying she shouldn’t run her center because she was dating someone in the closet and could possibly be ashamed of being gay herself
  3. Along with giving her great stink eye
  4. Full press release http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2024/07/02/max-original-documentary-series-teen-torture-inc-debuts-july-11-950215/20240702wbd02/ Trailer
  5. Such good scenes at Deception. Blaze should have dropped her mom as her business manager ages ago and definitely should do it now Sure. Try telling the show or showrunner that lol
  6. I believe they were stepsisters when Carley and Sonny were married and Joss was Sonny's stepdaughter; now I guess with Sonny and Carly divorced, they are ex-stepsisters, but Joss loves her so is still in her life and they still have a sisterly bond
  7. I've watched through episode 5 so far and some of the series is good, especially the off the cuff stuff, but it also gets pretty repetitive at the end of each episode as the trainee goes through the clues and evidence and decides who they think the murderer is, and then the police chief indicates whether they are right or wrong and details the evidence pointing towards the murderer. It's very stilted and dumb, not to mention again repetitive. I'm not sure I want another season
  8. Michael’s interview sadly highlighted how many people the show has lost lately
  9. FYI, Rachel is 2 hours tonight per a tweet and she’ll be interviewing Stormy Daniels Tuesday night on a special edition of the show which will also be 2 hours, from 9-11pm ET
  10. I’m watching it and it was interesting how they found out the real agenda The guy who’s following George is somehow tethered to him as he told Becky so wherever George goes, he must go Becky is pretty lethal given how she took out the Dane. She seems to sneak up on people
  11. Michael Easton talks to Soap Opera Digest on his exit in Part 1 of a 2 part interview https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-michael-easton-opens-up-about-his-general-hospital-exit/
  12. 3 cast members close new deals to remain on the show https://deadline.com/2024/07/chicago-med-s-epatha-merkerson-oliver-platt-marlyne-barrett-season-10-1235985947/
  13. On my watch list as well too. I was 15 when it happened and seeing 900+ dead bodies caused by deliberate means on TV certainly left an impression on me. I definitely was fascinated by it and same as you, not really in a positive way. I've seen other docs of this event that were pretty good so hopefully this one is too

Also: Your local PBS station, either with a feed from the national PBS or from the station itself, will likely cover the Republican National Convention, which runs July 15-18 As always, check your local listings and of course, check pbs.org and PBS Passport if you have it for things being streamed
  15. More info on the upcoming 2024 Christmas special https://www.tvzoneuk.com/post/doctorwho-christmas24-joelfry-report1
  16. 7-day ratings: 3.694 million viewers and 18th for the week. The Top 5 was all Euro games and the next 3 were UEFA games, then some news and a few soap episodes ahead of it and Who was the only non-soap scripted program in the Top 20 for the week
  17. There are rumors and signs that a spin-off is in the works, possibly 5 episodes for the first season and possibly filming sometime in the latter part of the year, maybe September. There are also rumors that Martha will head the spinoff but that's strictly in the rumor stage for now. It's not clear what the spinoff would be about, but rumors say something to do with UNIT. I'll report more when things become clearer
  18. In what shouldn’t be a surprise, there will be a repeat episode on July 4th. My DVR is saying it’s the July 7 episode from last year Also, just a heads up, there could possibly be preemptions today for national news as the Supreme Court will release their final opinions for the term at 10am ET this morning. That’s morning of course, but depending on what’s decided for at least one case, news coverage could continue in the afternoon especially since I think there’s 3 or 4 cases to be covered. Or possibly not an issue if these broadcast news folks can be succinct lol
  19. Another good episode on yet another scary weather event. I like most people thought for a long time that the biggest danger with a hurricane was the wind, but it’s become more clear in the last decade or so that the biggest danger is storm surge and boy does that cause a lot of damage. But as said, the weird thing about hurricanes, at least modern ones, compared to things like tornados and earthquakes, is that you have several days to prepare and evacuate, though too many don’t. I live in Central Maryland, so we generally don’t get direct hits from hurricanes, but we do get the remnants of them, usually a lot of rain. My parents lived in Florida outside of Summer at the time I believe it was Ivan that hit Florida and their roof got damaged and the house and contents suffered water damage. They were able to repair and replace things but I remember they went through a lot of stress dealing with the experience. I would be happy if this was renewed, but I’m not sure what subsequent seasons would cover as they covered the major stuff this season
  20. The In Loving Memory card at the end of the participating artists and a couple of others who have since died was sad
  21. I enjoyed this as well. Lionel Richie’s commentary on being at Michael Jackson’s house working on the song and imitating Michael was hilarious. I remember when this was happening and I recall listening to the song on the car radio with my aunt when it was first released and either that day or a little later we bought the album. I’ve seen previous BTS stuff about this event, but I think this doc covered things in more detail from various people involved. Definitely chaotic, but they made it work
  22. Season finale tonight, this one on hurricanes
  23. Celine surprises fans at the NHL Draft https://www.goodmorningamerica.com/culture/story/celine-dion-surprises-fans-nhl-draft-announces-montreal-111546142
  24. This was pretty hard to watch in some places. Man, that seizure at 1hr 30min. It was heartbreaking to hear how SPS affects her in so many ways and especially her singing. I’ve been a big fan of Celine’s since her early English language albums and my absolute favorite song of hers is “My Heart Will Go On” from “Titanic”. I’ve always considered her kind of goofy because English was her second language, but she’s majorly talented and has a great sense of humor, and fortunately we saw some of it in the doc. I can’t help but think she should retire from singing or at least from performing pop music on stage and touring. But heck she had that seizure just from singing somewhat quietly in a booth, which by the way, sounded beautiful. She should just have a goal of trying to have as normal a life as possible
