Ok, I binged all three episodes last night and I am digging this! I think Kaley is doing a great job and I'm all in on her mental breakdown. Rosie Perez is perfection. When her husband first came in the house I thought "that looks like a DOD badge" and then she's stealing data for the Koreans? Crazy. There are layers on layers here and I am all for it.

My parents do this and it drives me nuts! The first time we saw the brother and the wife, I almost felt bad for the wife because I got the sense that she was a little brainwashed. The more she speaks, though, the less bad I feel. She really believes all the shit her husband's mobster family is spewing.

Okay, just to clarify. When Robin is talking about "Uncle Jerry" she's talking about Jerry Jacobson and not her husband. So Jerry Jacobson asked her to marry her?

I don't know if I'm mixing up the books and the show but I swear that was the paper that Quentin grabbed from the Neitherlands at some point. But, you're right, I don't totally remember where it came from.

EXACTLY! I can't stand her. The fact that I've done a total 180 on Julia and actually appreciate her now is sometimes mind-blowing as I used to hate her character with a passion. But now all I want it for Alice to go away forever. I absolutely cannot with Alice. There was one shot where he had a close-lipped smile and the camera was looking down on him and he was looking up and I was just like, "OMG, the casting here was amazing." I thought there was some great nuance work with Katy this week. Her and Penny sitting at the island having a conversation and she's barely holding it together and then when Penny reaches out to touch her and she just recoils. It makes me realize just how messed up seeing an alternate version of her dead boyfriend must be for her on the regular. She can hold it together most of the time, but that little bit of physical contact was just too much for her. Oh Elliot. I love you so much. Sending Josh and Fen to the future. Stealing all of Jane Chatwin's shit. I hope you can find your happy ending. Margo the Destroyer in exile. This is going to be bad-ass. And I cannot wait.

THANK YOU! Yes, okay. I stopped watching Supergirl awhile ago. I kept thinking that was supposed to be the brunette on the phone in the Arrow Cave and getting so confused.

Can someone help me out since I've been out of the loop for a while - who was the brunette dressed in blue and white that was fighting in the dementor battle while Ollie was up on the hill fighting the anti-monitor? I couldn't figure out who that woman was - is she a Legends character?

Okay, so as one of the only people who liked the Kristen Wig version. I feel like my opinion is not taken super seriously... but... this did not feel like a Ghostbusters movie. It could have just been the trailer, but I'm not overwhelmed with excitement here. Paul Rudd is always great, but I'm just not sold.

I am cautiously optimistic after the trailer. I think there has been enough time since the end of Season 4 that the shock of Q's death has numbed a bit. I'm still over Alice though. They better do something really good with her or just get rid of her, because she pisses me off. I'd much rather have more Kady and Julia than Alice at this point.

You know, now that you say this - it's really true! Egwene, in her small time with the Tinkers really embraces their ways and makes friends and becomes a part of their world. Same with the Aiel. Same with the Tower and the Aes Sedai. She really is able to absorb another culture's teachings pretty easily. Nyneave becomes my favorite character by the end of the series. I just love her journey so much. And I also love that her whole goal of leaving the Two Rivers is so selfless - I need to take care of my villagers. She strays a bit in that goal here and there - but for the most part she always returns back to Rand in order to help watch over him.

I think it ended a bit more ambiguously than that - especially since Aviendah and the Wise Ones knew that they had the ability to try to change the future from what she saw in the Rhuidean rings. Unless you're referring to the battle at Shayul Ghul in which tons of Aiel got murdered by Dark Hounds and Myrdraal.

Apparently I'm the only one super into this show - I am dying for more casting news.

I read Eye of the World when I was in High School - so some odd 18 years ago or so. I remember very vividly picking up the book at the bookstore because I liked the look of the cover. 🙂 I think it took me a little while to get through the prologue because I didn't understand anything that was going on - but once we got to the Two Rivers and Rand and Tam I remember liking it much better. But, I wouldn't recommend forcing yourself to read something you're just not digging. Whenever I do that, I find myself then reluctant to pick up other books and my reading hours go down.

Daniel Henney posted on twitter that they were having their first table read yesterday. Still no word on Thom's casting.

Yes, for sure! I think mostly unknowns is a good choice. I hope they get someone with a little gravitas for Thom, though. I don't know who my ideal casting of him is, but I have such a perfect picture of him in my head, it's the only one I'm worried about!
