  1. Netflix confirmed it about 30 minutes ago.
  2. Just curious how you found out that Piper's furlough is to attend her grandmother's funeral. I know it was released Piper get a furlough but where did the info come from it was the funeral (or did you just put 2 and 2 together from some of those night filming shots that appeared on IG last fall plus the info in the latest EW article (or do you have some inside info)? Read somewhere that Foster may have directed both Ep.1 and Ep13 since there seems to be some transistion occuring between 1 and 13.
  3. Her time might be smaller but I think her impact will be bigger. In the new trailer they just released today, Piper really looks to be taking a turn in season 2. She looks like she isn't going to take crap from anyone. A darker, meaner tougher Piper. Taylor S. is such a wonder actor, I find it hard to imagine any one else in the part of Piper Chapman. Taylor owns the role. I think that is one of the big reasons I love Piper so much. Taylor does such a convincing job with the character. Can't wait until June 6. I just hope her diminished screen time doesn't effect the whole dynamic of the show as you say. Glad there is someone else here that feels the same way I do about Piper. We should have plenty to discuss in season 2.
  4. New Trailer for Season 2 released this morning. Looks like Piper has taken a strool down the dark side. WOW! https://tv.yahoo.com/video/orange-black-trailer-052220722.html?soc_src=mediacontentsharebuttons
  5. Guess we will never know the real answer unless some years down the road someone had the notion to do a "True Hollywood Story" and interview cast long after the show is history. Even then we might never get the true answer.
  6. OITNB was given a huge honor today with the announcment that they have been given a Peabody award: The 2014 Peabody Award winners -- highlighting the best in TV, radio and web storytelling -- were announced on Wednesday's CBS This Morning, and Scandal, Orange Is the New Black and Tom Brokaw are among the honorees. Orange Is the New Black (Netflix) Lionsgate Television, Netflix Orange Is the New Black turns a notorious drive-in genre - women behind bars - into a complex, riveting character study rich in insights about femininity, race, power, and the politics, inside and outside prison walls, of mass incarceration. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/peabody-winners-2014-scandal-orange-692942
  7. I have this sneaky feeling the new teeth will not be exactly the teeth Pennsatucky was hoping for. I just think Kohan will want to stretch out the animosity Pennsatucky has for Piper longer than S1. Further, the small spoiler that was released a while back had Taryn in LA being fitten for new teeth. If the teeth were going to be normal looking teeth, they would have used Taryn's own teeth. The only reason they would be fitting Taryn for "new teeth" is if those teeth are some how off looking. It would be logical that after the beat down, Pennastucky gets her new teeth (what she really wanted in prison) and would have to accept she lost , the feud ends. The Piper/Pennsaducky arc is to delicious to now have Pennsatucky warm to Piper. I think the teeth will be too big, not fit properly and make her look deformed. The teeth, rather than being the thing Pennsatucky wanted becomes the reason she hates Piper even more. I don't believe Kohan will give Pennsatucky a personality transplant and turn her into a puppy that follows Piper around to do her bidding, but I have been wrong before.
  8. What is everyone's take on the limited role she will have in S2? Imdb currently has posted she will only be in two episodes even though several sources have said she will appear in four episodes. I have been going back and forth on whose decision it really was in the first place. Prepon keeps saying "it was all scheduling" yet looking at her filmography in Imdb, it show no projects she has been involved with either in pre-production, filming or post production post OITNB so what scheduling is she talking aobut? There was no coverage in the trades that indicated she was actively working on any projects (other than those that have been kicked around for the past few years Neighbros and the movie about her childhood in NJ). I have begun to think that the Alex story was initially written as a one season arc. That meeting in the library between Piper and Alex was pretty final and it was bolstered by their last interaction when Alex firmly sent Piper on her way. I have come to believe that Prepon realized this show was gold and was going to try anything to get her character's story continued. I believe she initially knew the character was for one season and that is why she only had a one season contract. I have been getting the feeling more and more that it was Preopn's PR/management team that leaked the info about her not coming back to rial up the fan base so Prepon's management could use it as a negotiating leverage to extend her time on the show. I don't think Kohan envisioned Piper/Alex as an on going story. I have a feeling she was on the Piper/Larry ship until she was shown otherwise. I would really like to hear what everyone else thing about this.
  9. Oh I remember The L Word forum too. I got the boot so many times, I can't remember the last name I used while still posting on that thread. As for Orange, I will probably watch 6 on June 6 and the last 7 on June 7. Keep it in line with the dates. Glad this forum has come into existence, as a place to offer up delicious snark and wank. TWOP was the only place decent discussion took place because it did not tolerate abusive fans that seems to monopolize the other public boards that have threads about this show. Can't wait until June 6th.
  10. Agree with everything everyone has said. I hate that Schilling's presence in S2 will be diminished(as stated by Kohan) in favor of spotlighting other characters. I LOVE Piper. She is the center for which all other things revolve. I know she is some what of a narrcasistic yuppy (which I can totally relate to) but all that considered and how she responds to her current situation is what I find so hilarous and really endearing as a character and Schilling's performance is truly remarkable. She is such a fine young actor. If they mess with the formula that worked so effortlessly in S1, I too believe they will lose some of their core audience. That might not happen in S2 but the impact will most definately be felt by S3.
