  1. Kyle should have his worthless ass fired before the next charter. His mom was in prison, and at first I was sympathetic, but now I think the oppositional apple doesn’t fall far from the defiant tree. First there was the flat out demanding to be taken on the tinder and the threat to Lewis. Lewis, in my opinion, fell down on the job by letting that go. Part of his job is to be in charge and to be respected. Then there was the talk with Lewis about Kyle making the lunkheaded mistake of leaving that thing in front of the window, where Kyle pointed to himself and said, “Is this the face of someone who cares?” Seriously??!! Lewis again did nothing in response. Then there was Nathan was trying to show Kyle what to do and he said, “Watch this,” and Kyle responded, “Or what?” He’s weird and possibly dangerous. Lovable cowboy my ass.
  2. I have a somewhat different perspective on what happened. The whole idea of this show is that it will end in a proposal. If you’re just going to date, you could go on Match.com for that. I don’t blame the women for being disappointed that no one wants to propose (they must have chosen smarter or wiser guys this time around). They came expecting a proposal; that’s the whole point of the show. They are both beautiful and interesting; I’m sure there is no shortage of guys who want to date them in real life. They didn’t need to do a reality show to get that. Plus, geographically, dating might not even be a practical option. Of course the whole premise of “The Bachelorette” is ridiculous. You need more than just seeing someone occasionally over the course of eight weeks (guessing at the time period), to know if they’re your one and only. I completely get what the guys are saying. In a way, they are taking this more seriously than the guys who pop the question and break up two months later. Still, I definitely understand the disappointment from both women.
  3. I have lots of thoughts about this episode, and none of them are good. I really hate that apparently I am forced to follow the live feeds or at least the live feed thread to really know what’s going on in the house. What Kyle proposed was despicable: having an all-white alliance in order to kick out people of color. I didn’t like it when the Cookout did it, but at least I understood their reasoning and understood why it was important it was for them. Also despicable, although less so: Michael and Britany sitting on this information until it benefited them personally to reveal it. Wow. I hope that’s not lost on others in the house, and I don’t think it will be. Michael may have just cost himself the whole game. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see him go up next and for entirely different reasons than being a competition threat. Also despicable, but barely so compared to the rest of the drama: Joseph throwing his closest ally, Taylor, under the bus on his way out the door. Good riddance, Joseph.
  4. I feel like Natasha really enjoys keeping the Dave drama going. Dave basically told her that he would be professional but was done with her emotionally. Of course she just sat there wanting more and more, like some kind of emotional vampire. I think she’s extremely manipulative, and Dave is certainly no prize, either. The wine-tasting thing was a bad idea. No one there seemed particularly fascinated with wine, and it just slowed things down, especially with those over-full glasses of wine Natasha was pouring. I like Kyle. He may not be gorgeous, but he’s okay-looking. I can see a rich guy on vacation flirting with him. Why not? A vacation romance is fun, and part of the allure is you know you’re never going to see each other again. I really wanted to like Jason, but I’m giving up. Telling your boss to fuck off and ignoring his orders should get you dismissed. Also, he did tie that line wrong; Storm was right, it was supposed to give. Jason seems like the kind of guy who thinks he can do no wrong, and that would be obnoxious even if he was right.
  5. If I remember correctly, Heather using the N word was shown on camera. She and Rayna were walking on their way to the bar of the evening and Heather was singing along to some song playing that had that word in it. I was really shocked then that Rayna didn’t say anything at the time. I didn’t realize that Rayna was just waiting so that she could use it as drama for the rest of the season. I really despise Rayna. She’s a coward. She can’t confront anyone directly, but instead does passive-aggressive bullshit like telling people it’s fine and then acting like a total bitch. She’s too cowardly to be honest or address anything like an adult, but too childish and self-pitying to let things go. Frazier just seems like a whiney, condescending ass. He’s the guy who looks down on everyone, even when he has nothing going on himself. He’s relentlessly negative; no wonder he and Rayna get along. I disliked Rachel last season, but she has redeemed herself this season by simply being good at her job, which might be more than anybody else in the cast can say. I do like Heather, but she seems clueless at times. She should know that grouchy and territorial Captain Lee is not going to appreciate her inviting herself into his area to do make-up and then leave her things behind in a big mess. I kind of wonder if Captain Lee might not want her back. He just seems like the kind of man who appreciates people who know their place. How does Jake get so many lovers? He just seems like a walking STD to me.
  6. I want to like this show, but the writing makes it nearly impossible. A bunch of entitled brats who trash a coffee shop because they can’t use someone else’s expired coffee card is so 2022.
  7. Whatever tiny feelings of liking I ever had towards Mat evaporated tonight. What a needy, whiny, immature crybaby. There is no inner strength there at all. Look at him wrong and he’ll cry all day. Don’t endlessly slobber all over him about how wonderful he is and he spins out. Plus, it’s Mat’s fault that Delaney didn’t come on board. He threw a classic Mat tantrum about having to change rooms (oh, the horror!), and Katie caved because she couldn’t handle his drama. Katie’s fatal flaw is she wants to please everyone, but when you’re the boss, you can’t always do that. I liked everyone this season except Mat and Lexi. Lexi is just straight up mentally ill. I both loathe her and feel sorry for her. She’s not ever going to be normal, and because of that she is never going to have a happy life. I don’t think she even knows what normal people act like. I’m just glad this profoundly troubled, worthless excuse for a human being is off of my TV. Everyone else was mostly likable, except maybe Captain Sandy, who ultimately came off as clueless and unprofessional with her yelling at an employee. She needs to work on keeping her cool a little bit more. I liked this season; it was refreshing actually having a cast that I mostly liked.
  8. Can anybody help me out? Right when Derek X made some kind of comment that Whitney was angry about, there was a fire evacuation alarm that cut out all the sound. I have no idea what he said. Thanks!
  9. This was a huge disappointment to me. I like the lead actress, I liked the cast, and I want a comedy about an unconventional woman who is happy with her life. However, I absolutely hate the constant chattering to the camera. I don’t want to be your friend; I want you to entertain me with a story. I can also live without the fantasy interludes. It reminds me a LOT of “Fleabag”, another show I hated for the same reason. Even when it’s good, you can never lose yourself in the story. I’m out.
  10. Why am I still watching this? It used to be fun, but that part of the show is obviously over. One problem I have with this show is that I feel like I watch the same thing over and over. Three dummies with money problems (get in line, ladies) turn to a life of crime and are in over their heads. They had an opportunity to get clear, but dove back in with gusto. Now we’re supposed to feel sorry for them that everything turned dark again. Screw that. They knew how bad things could get, and went back to their criminal lifestyles, anyway. Now I have to watch Beth do her big blinky eyes in every scene, Annie doing her eyes filled with tears twitchyness, and Ruby being sad constantly. Stan shouldn’t be a cop; his wife is a criminal! And what kind of police board wouldn’t listen to his wife going on about wanting a life of crime and not see that as a huge red flag? Lucy was the only likable character on this show. I was hoping she’d be at least a semi-regular. Instead, these women got her killed by involving her in an illegal enterprise that she wasn’t remotely interested in. Then they stole her bird. Then they faked her leaving town so that she would never be mourned or give her friends and family closure. These women really suck. I have no sympathy for them. Go to the police already and do your time. I honestly believe that’s how this series should end.
  11. I totally agree that it’s more fun to binge these shows than to have small parts doled out week after week. I’m still really liking this show, though. I love the characters. The plot is almost beside the point for me, which might be a good thing.
  12. I had never heard of this until I saw it on Primetimer’s home page yesterday. I’m glad I gave it a try. It’s a little arty and weird as hell, but I appreciate a show that’s trying to do something different. Peter is hilariously boring. I think I’m going to like these characters, and I’m interested to see how this turns out.
  13. You’re so lucky. I know. That’s why I love her! Her crazy, over-the top reaction to Richard’s smugness was the only interesting thing on an otherwise boring, awful show.
  14. She claimed to have skills she clearly didn’t have to get the job. This may be a show but I’m treating it like it’s real - what fun is it to constantly disbelieve everything you see? What then becomes the point of watching? As for ”viewers piling on”, we are all as entitled to our opinions as you are to yours.
