If they don’t address Victoria’s absence how will everyone know how “brave, mature and unselfish” she is? I guess if it isn’t addressed on the show we can just take her word for it. 🙄

The original posts that they have now removed were basically amplifying any negative comments that were posted here by highlighting them over there. I think someone pointed that out to them and they removed them.

It means nothing. It’s not like there aren’t DCC with TikTok accounts. They activate/deactivate, make public/private, etc social media accounts all the time for various reasons.

I think it is less political and more about personal views. There are still a lot of unknowns about Covid and therefore about the vaccine as well. I am vaccinated but I know quite a few others of child-bearing age who opted not to be just because of the unknowns and the fact there weren’t studies or long term studies regarding fertility. I respect their decision and I know for a fact theirs had nothing to do with politics or political influence. It could be the same with some of these women in training camp. I understand vaccine requirements and respect them, and at the same time I respect the decision and possible consequences some people make to not get vaccinated.

I agree. I think it’s because they lose a certain amount of control and it’s pretty obvious TPTB want to be in control of SM messaging (among other things). Looking at the way other teams, other brands, other franchises use SM to promote and grow their brand, the DCC (and possibly CMT too) has no clue. They are so backwards and behind the times on using effective SM strategies.

Yes! This! It was so much more fun to watch the show when you felt connected to the ladies. The social media blackout over the past few seasons has made the show so much LESS fun to watch. I remember one year some of the returning girls did live Instagram after finals while they were waiting to get results. It was so cool! Now everything on SM is so controlled and it just feels so inauthentic.
