If it's true and it's what Jana wants, then I wish her nothing but happiness, a quiet life, and a reasonable family size (if she wants children at all). If Jana moves away, this could be the first wedding where Michelle cries genuine tears.

It truly frightens me that I remember this, but I had a feeling one of the Duggars' middle names was Brooklyn. As per Google, it's Josie Brooklyn Duggar. An odd choice to re-use? If I was part of a super large family, I think I would double-check if a name had already been used. Perhaps they just don't care.

As someone who has had more than her share of dental surgeries (almost all of which when I was an age much younger than Justin), this strikes me as very bizarre. It's a classic example of how this family/subculture babies the boys/men and makes them think that everything they do is super heroic. It's freaking dental surgery, and he's 18(?). By the time I had my wisdom teeth removed (around age 20) I was just happy to have the day off work and get to relax for a day. The fact that he "needs" a special "nurse" from out of town (during a pandemic!) is so over the top. If the genders were reversed I seriously doubt that a girl would get this attention.

I have to admit that for once the Duggars have surprised me. I truly didn't see this one coming at all!

Someone needs to remind these men that it's the sperm which determines the sex of the baby. And more importantly, to be grateful for a healthy child. On topic: It's lovely to see Joy looking so happy!

I was annoyed that they didn't include Jana in their "pampering day". Heaven knows that Jana does just as much caring for children as the rest of them. I'm sure it didn't fit the narrative that she was "in L.A. at the time", but we all know she was the one who was really watching the kids behind-the-scenes. Just saying that Auntie Jana deserves some recognition, especially since she chose to have none of those children.

I saw the movie today with some family members. Two of us are very familiar with the story (myself included), and the other two barely know the story. We all concluded that it was an enjoyable movie and well-acted, however, the shifting timelines made it difficult to follow for those who weren't familiar with the story. I agree with everyone who said that this version made Amy much more likable, in fact, she turned out to be one of my favourites! I never thought how she would feel the burden of marrying well and "saving the family" when the others weren't able to do so. It was a fresh insight into the book and character. Overall, a most enjoyable evening at the movies. The ending was cleverly done, and I appreciated how it kept to the books, but at the same time...didn't.

I agree with the previous comments about using the word "consent"; it was way too jarring and doesn't fit at all with the time period. Paired with the inconsistency of the girls' apparent knowledge of sex (or lack thereof), it just didn't work at all. On a brighter note, I thought Marilla had a few hilarious lines! My favourite being "we're literally going to hell in a handbasket", referencing the hot air balloon. (I doubt that Marilla would have used the word "hell", but the comedy value made up for it!).

"Call Me Cordelia" is a really fun podcast, and definitely worth a listen. I've been listening for over a year, and they're just finishing up Season 4 of Road to Avonlea. As you mentioned, they also cover the Sullivan series as well as "Anne with an E". Sometimes they get way off topic, but for the most part it's entertaining. They did an interview with Kevin Sullivan last December!

I completely agree. I find them both insufferable, but at least Dave has some ability and is the main reason they keep getting ahead (although I have to give Irina credit for her math skills in Waterloo). Generally speaking, Irina gives up so easily with any physical challenge and it's tiresome to watch. Honestly, what did she expect with this race?!

Such tragic news about Kenneth McAlpine. Their team was one of my favourites, they were always so positive and enthusiastic. Such a loss, and he was so young.

I actually really like that dress! It looks like it would be flattering on many body types. She looks great.

I sure hope her kids see that post someday and know that they didn't make the rank of "favourite person". Not to mention that they didn't even make it into her "favourite day" and "favourite place". It makes me sad for them.

I had no idea that the flower arrangement was supposed to be horseshoes! I thought it was supposed to be a crown for “Princess” (which, by the way, is quite the stretch for a wedding theme - a dead pet).

Kevin quoted Justin Trudeau on Bachelor in Paradise. There’s a sentence I never thought I would say! That moment made the entire show for me. Why yes, I am Canadian!

I truly feel badly for Leanne and Mar to be eliminated because of anxiety/breathing issues. I've had breathing issues my entire life and I know how scary it can be, and how sometimes seemingly random things can trigger it. In my opinion they were the stronger team in comparison to Dylan and Kwame, and deserved to stick around for another week. But I guess that's just how the Race goes sometimes... I enjoyed the leg in PEI (one of my favourite places in the country); planting the potatoes was just classic. Such a shame that nobody tried the goat challenge; I was hoping there would be a U-turn so that at least one team would be forced to do it. The zombie thing was pretty random, and not at all what I would have expected here! It was lovely that they ended up on Cavendish beach, which is truly stunning.

I adore this show, but even I'm getting tired of all the dance challenges (although as a very uncoordinated person I continue to be amazed at their abilities!). My favourite teams continue to be the sibling teams; they are killing it! I just love their dynamic, it seems more unusual to have brother/sister teams, and it's so nice to see how they clearly love and support one another. Martina is amazing, I thought by now some of her positive energy would have waned, but she continues to bring the sunshine. I cannot wait to see next week when they go to PEI! Definitely one of my favourite places in the country.

I'm a bit late to the party this week! I enjoyed this episode, I always like it when the Race is in an area where I'm very familiar (in this case, my hometown of Toronto). I got a kick out of watching the Racers navigate the TTC, which I do every single day. I was actually surprised that they didn't struggle more especially with buying fares, but maybe that was edited out (or they were provided with Presto cards). They certainly got a taste of how long it actually takes to get anywhere in this city, especially by car. I was surprised that they made them go from downtown, up to North York, and then back to the waterfront. A LOT of travel time, especially in Toronto traffic. They really did look exhausted by the end. My favourite racers continue to be both of the sibling teams, I just love that dynamic. I get such a kick out of Martina, she's always so positive and upbeat.

I was in Austria a few years ago, and it was one of my favourite trips I've ever taken! I was there for a family wedding, but stayed a few extra days to see the sights. For once, I'm actually very interested to see where Josiah & Lauren visited and to watch their honeymoon episode. They are SO fortunate to go on such a trip, all expenses paid.

I'm happy for Jinger and Jeremy. They both look great, and little Felicity is a cutie :) Side note: my association with the name Felicity is from a TV show from my childhood, Road to Avonlea. One of the main characters was Felicity. It's a very wholesome show, so who knows, maybe Jinger watched it! The show was based on books by L.M. Montgomery. Anyway, it's a positive association, and a lovely name.

I could see them going with a popular, pretty, classic name, something like Emma, Isabella, or Sophia. As for middle name, I'm going with Nicole (Jinger's middle name).

Congrats to Jessica Seewald, and also good to hear that the other Seewald sisters are employed. They are a great example to Spurgeon and Henry (and let's be honest, also to Ben & Jessa) of how real people hustle and make a living.

I have a soft spot for the name Gideon, since it's the middle name of one of my close family members. Anyway, it's an under-used Biblical name that I hope will serve him well. So congrats to Joy & Austin on their well-named, beautiful baby. In that photo though, they look like a pair of teenagers! Oh wait....
