  1. Caught the 3/15 repeat today.  That was some load of shit Meghan was spewing about the being called out as a Republican while shopping for sex toys.  Even she didn't look like she believed any of it.

Also, I learned today that she exists on a diet of salt (perhaps other minerals) and water.  Because she eats neither animal nor vegetable.

    Whoopi:  Meat or vegetarian?

Meghan:  What do you think??  NO!

    Ugh, she's such an idiot.

I did enjoy the segment with Ricky Gervais, though.  He is not an idiot.

Why would anyone want to described as hawkish? MM seemed to be proud to be war first. She's exhausting.

The most hawkish person on TV, dontcha know.

Does she not understand that people will die, maimed, and forever altered psychologically.. Not to mention, that will create new threats to our country's national security, for generations to come.  I will never understand people who claim to be pro-life, but, are very willing on inflicting violence on others. Nuclear war is no joke..

I'm always struck by those who claim to be against violence, to respect life in all forms, to be a Christian, etc. and yet are all for war.

They think war is glorious, patriotic, noble . . . war is people killing people.  They think it is righteous to kill the enemies of one's country even as their faith tells them to kill is wrong.  This is something I will never understand.  I have huge issues with the way we view war in this country, how we glorify it and celebrate it.  Meghan and her hawkish ilk make me sick.

To be specific BC didn't get impeached for getting a blowjob, he got impeached for lying about it.  It's almost never the transgression that gets you, it's the cover up.

I didn't say it was the blowjob.  I know it wasn't, I remember it very well.

I said specifically, "Even lying about it, no big deal."

And I think Clinton was impeached because Bill Clinton more than anything else, but that's just IMO.

  4. I really love how now Presidents having affairs is no big deal.  Even lying about it, no big deal.  My head, it explodes, because I remember when it was such a big deal nCongress had to get involved and impeach a President for doing so.

Need some help, I could not make out a comment howler monkey MM made, and I know it was snarky cause Whoopi shot her a look.

It was when they were discussing Cynthia Nixon running for Governor, Joy was saying how she is very smart and was instrumental in helping to get Bill DeBlasio elected mayor and Meghan snipped something like "that alone.." and I could not make it out...if I guessed I would think she said that that alone is why she's not qualified.

    Anybody catch what she sais?

I thought she said, "That alone makes her unqualified."  It followed the discussion of Christine Quinn calling Nixon 'an unqualified lesbian.'

What was worse was the guest going along with her. She's clearly just as tribal as the people she criticizes, so who would be fool enough to buy a book from her about the evils of tribalism?

I'd bet there's a big market in FoxNews viewers.

The Tiger Lady wanted to focus on the liberals who denigrate Trump voters.  She needed to look to her right to see Meghan who daily denigrates anyone who didn't vote for Trump.

Ugh.  More of that?  I would love someone to ask when these people are going to stop painting themselves as victims of the big bad liberal meanies . . . their guy got in.

A week or so ago Meghan was saying that aluminum tariffs would raise the price of a beer and THAT would be Trump's undoing with his voters.  But I guess that was okay because she's Red American or a Gun Countryman or whatever she calls herself.

  7. "There are plenty of conservatives just like me and don't worry, we're not going to let Trump destroy the Republican party."

How, exactly?  Especially Meghan herself, who seems to be nothing more than a liberal-hating Trump apologist, how exactly is she making sure that he doesn't destroy the Republican party?  Excusing every freaking thing he does by saying it doesn't matter to his base?  Is his base not the party's base?  Maybe she thinks the "what about Obama/Clinton?" question that she's always asking will save the party.  Cuz I don't see a lot of 'good conservatives' doing much else.

What a load of horseshit.  It made me laugh, though, that not a single person applauded her proclamation.

ABC News had to break in with the BREAKING! NEWS! that snow is falling in NYC, so I didn't get to see the Tiger Lady.  I'd never heard of her before but it seems like I didn't miss anything.

I don't for one minute believe Meghan's reasons for not having children are in any deeper than she doesn't want to be bothered.

That was my reason.  And you know what?   That's exactly why I am A-OK with my decision not have children.  And if that's also Meghan's reason, unless her feelings (shallow or not) change, she shouldn't either.

It always strikes me that women who decide not to have children are expected to have some sort of deep, meaningful, unselfish reason for it.  Yet women who do have children for reasons that are shallow, meaningless and selfish (babies are so cute!, I always wanted to take care of something, we always had 3 children apiece in our family, I'm tired of the pressure from my mother-in-law, yada, yada, yada, yada) are very rarely questioned on their decision.

They mentioned that in one of the episodes where one of the Cheers cast visited (I think Sam). Fraser said he’d lied.

Yes, and Niles was upset because because Frasier never even mentioned having a brother to the gang at Cheers.  (Martin:  "He told them I was dead!"  Niles:  "Well, at least you existed!"  Or something like that).

If asked a few days ago what my least favorite episode of Frasier was,  I would have said the horrible Greek fake-cousin wedding episode.  But the other night Cozi reminded me that is not my least favorite episode - it is the one where Frasier's car breaks down and he and Charlotte spend the night on the sofa bed in some strange family's living room.  Where the man's dead mother is laid out.  Ugh.  The two of them suppressing giggles like teenagers when each family member comes in to open the casket and say something to the deceased . . . what a terrible, terrible episode on so many levels!  I'd forgotten all about that one, but it is absolutely my most hated episode.  I guess the Greek fake-cousin episode can remain my least favorite.  :-)

Boy, they really laid Charlotte on thick, didn't they?  LOOK!  She makes a night in a strange house with an odd family and their dead matriarch look like a slumber party!!  Oh, they really are made for each other!!

Meghan brought up the fact we have a very poor ranking in the world when it comes to education because of test scores.  That IMO is the problem.  Not all students do well on tests. Doesn't mean they aren't smart and not learning.

Meghan is incredibly frustrated because nobody takes her seriously.  And why should they?  She doesn't have kids.  She never went (as far as I know) to public schools.

I would love to know how much of the poor ranking, etc. has happened since we as a nation have started devaluing public education.  And yes, using test scores as a measure is also very problematic.

I think Meghan is incredibly frustrated because no one is agreeing with her.  That seems to be her definition of a "conversation" - I will tell you the conservative viewpoint and you will listen and agree.  She's not an outlier in her tribe if that is true, in my experience.

Meghan  "I want to take this one "  Sure, why not, you've taken every other one.

I soooo wanted Paula to say, "No, Meghan.  I want to take this one."  I did love that she sat there quietly, let Meghan spout, and then said what she was going to say anyway, though.

At one point, not sure if it was before of after the snotty little laugh, Joy was looking at Meghan with such a look.  I was hoping she'd just say what she wanted to say; it looked like she was ready to let Meghan really have it once and for all.  I would have loved to hear what she had to say!

Valerie's glasses really were cute.  I liked her whole outfit.  And I loved the measured way she made her points and barely even reacted to that snotty little cackle.

  12. I think Linsey was the right choice to win.  Abby was close, though.  When Duff and Valerie did their final deliberations and said it was within a hairs breadth who should, it was clear to me they meant between Linsey and Abby, and that Alex had already been eliminated in their minds.  (I hope he gets his puppy too.)

I knew Abby was in trouble when she piped that HUGE amount of frosting between her layers.  Still, her cake really was beautiful and she took the challenge seriously, adding the glitter and the tiny little pearls in the florets in order to make the cake special.  I would have been okay with her winning based on this challenge, although I do agree she squeaked by in other challenges and probably should have gone home before the finale.

Linsey did take on a lot of challenging techniques in the final challenge, and her cake tasted good too.

I love Duff and Valerie as judges.  I will always love Valerie for the way she went into the 'interview box' and comforted Peggy after she was eliminated in Season 2.  But she cemented my undying devotion when she exclaimed "I HATE this!!" during Byrn's elimination, when Bryn was struggling so hard not to cry (I think she probably did).  So nice to see, and I do not think it is one iota fake.

I too miss this show when it is done.  It is one of the few I still watch on Food Network.

Meghan “I grew up in politics/Talk about politics my whole life and all the time” McCain CLEARLY  wasn’t listening or paying attention. Thus her OBVIOUS ignorance what trade agreements are or how tariffs work.  Along with everything else she claims to know, but proves her ignorance every time she opens her mouth.??

Which is all the fucking time.  Geez, Meghan, can you let anyone finish a sentence??  At least the 'apologized' to Sunny for interrupting her - multiple damn times - but it really would be nice to hear what someone has to say without Meghan screeching over her.

Can you IMAGINE the hemorrhage Meghan would have if a New Yorker had said what she did about the base turning on Trump because of the price of a can of beer going up?  I guess:  her tribe, she can talk smack about them.   Gah.  She really is insufferable.

So glad Sara is coming back.  :-)

    Meghan's Vocabulary Report:

She used "modicum" in a sentence, and used it correctly, but didn't know how to pronounce it. She said it: MODE - i - cum. (The first syllable should be pronounced like the first syllable in the word modern.)

I thought so too, but Merriam Webster had MODE- as an alternative pronunciation.  https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/modicum

  16. Dang.  I'm sort of meh on Michael Steele but I loved that clip of his with Schlapp, and how he threw up his hands when he demanded why he needed to show grace.  That was awesome.  And then Sunny not letting Schlapp slide away from it.  Go, Sunny.

Schlapp reminds me of so many people I know.  I'm in a very conservative, traditionally white area of New Jersey, and as I am white, many people here assume I am of the same opinions as they are with regards to race.  I hear a lot of racist remarks made by people who deny being racist.  You know, because what they say is just based on their experience or all the welfare queens they claim to know, who are of course all women of color.  It's just their opinion and they are entitled to it.  Ugh, Schlapp had that same look and sound about him when he was talking about the Michael Steele issue.  I'm surprised he didn't start in with all the 'reverse racism' that's apparently so prevalent in our society.  I know reverse racism is certainly keeping whitey down in my neck of the woods . . . RME.

I agree with Schlapp, though - I don't think that CPAC represents fringe elements.   And that's really sad, not something to celebrate.

Geez, Meghan is sooooo thin-skinned.  No wonder her chest is always glowing red.  Jokes about Trump are an attack on Trump supporters that she just can't bear to watch?  People in New York (there it is again, the New Yorker slight) just don't want Republicans around?  WTF is wrong with her?

She used her big-word-of-the-day modicum correctly, at least.  Just used the less accepted pronunciation.  What a gangsta.

  17. "He's the leftist gun grabbing New Yorker I always thought he was."

So if that's what The Official NRA Unified Voting Bloc thought, why did the morons vote for him??

I'm from New Jersey.  New York treats us like a backyard-cum-garbage-dump most of the time, so I rarely feel the need to rise to the defense of New Yorkers.  But I am getting very fucking sick of hearing "New Yorker" as if it means something vile and un-American.  New York is just as much a part of the United States as Arizona.  And - gasp! -  there are even NRA members who are New Yorkers.

    STFU, Meghan.
