  1. The hot mic stuff was less boring than this episode. For example, we learned that noon Hawaii time was midnight Brian's time. This podcast always makes me laugh. Mostly because of the snark, but also? The unexpected.
  2. Ok you read my mind. I am rewatching these eps because I love Coke!Kelly, but I FF right through all the Ginger bullshit. What kind of a con artist gives up cold hard cash for some C-List D. Gimme a break. And Val freaking out over being exposed is so damn annoying. I wish she would have just asked for the tape and then played it for the gang her own damn self. Have some dignity, VAL. Yeah, I remember that too, that sucked for Val. And I don't get why Colin would still be professing love for Kelly, given meeting her and moving to LA pretty much ruined his life. See this is, again, where the writers take a potentially awesome character (Val) and ruin her. I never got why Val was so into Colin in the first place. I feel as if Val would have looked down on Colin for (1) being a cokehead rent boy and (2) being hung up on Kelly. Also, I feel like Val (as previously written) would have sensed a pattern with Colin that he basically "loved" who ever was there to help him out at the moment. Ugh. Have we gotten to the famous Colin mush mouth moment yet? ("SOS, man, I'll pay DEBBLE.") LOVE IT! I can barely make it through the last few seasons. Just so much bad, bad, bad acting all around although there are some shining moments. Kelly getting shot! Druggie!Dylan throwing Donna into the pool! And also loved the sexual harassment story are all pretty good. Hated Mall Attorney too and as an attorney, it bugged the Shit out of me how Kelly would tell him how to do his damn job. AND HE WOULD LISTEN TO HER. Shut up, Kelly. Hahahaha! "I'll pay Debble!" I remember how we used to snark on that back in the day on the other forum. And yeah, he always listened to Kelly's opinions instead of following--you know-- legal procedures. ::eyeroll::
  3. Thank you so much Tara! I'm looking forward to hearing it again. That pilot week idea definitely makes sense. I don't mind season 9, but I truly dislike Mall Attorney. I swear he brings out all of Kelly's bitchiest sanctimony. Beautiful Gina becomes such a caricature. And mumble-mouth Noah wears my last nerve by then. And by the last quarter of season 10 it seems like the actors are really chomping at the bit almost palpably. The podcasts will be full of fun snark though!
  4. Although The whole storyline with Steve's birthday party, the prince and Claire, and the spotting of Colin (with requisite chase and Brandon being the hero yet again); is as long and boring and badly put together as this sentence; I appreciate the one brief shining scene with Pauly Shore. Said no one ever before nor ever again. And Val looked particularly hot.
  5. I'm not sure where to ask this slightly OT question, so I will drop it here. The POP network started airing BH90210 from the beginning again a few weeks ago. Apparently, they--like a lot of us-- got to the season 8 finale and said, "We cannot do this again. We just can't do 9 and 10 again." So I have been really enjoying listening to the early podcasts, along with these in season six. We've entered the early days of season two now, on POP/AWT. Dead Scott!! Wildfire! Popcorn! But alas where is the podcast for Necessity Is A Mother? I am missing some good Iris/Mind gym snark. There's also another early season two podcast missing, but I cannot recall which one right now. I understand ITunes has a limit, so thankfully they're still available right off the site, except those two. Is there a link , please? I can't just go to a mind gym or mellow on the beach; and I've always been really bad at pool. Please give me my fix before I DownwardSpiral lite!
  6. Me too! I don't think I've actually ever heard it pronounced, much like when I listen to NPR. (So that's how you pronounce the name of that foreign leader?!?) I thought, "Huh, all these years of seeing his name in the credits and thinking it was like boobs!" It makes perfect sense that it wouldn't be, of course, but it won't be easy to undo 27 years of hearing it the wrong way in my head.
  7. A Gordon Lightfoot ad! Happy dance! And also, finally to the all too short arc where Kelly is tolerable Enjoy, it doesn't happen again. After this she becomes ever more saintly and put-upon, and is a bitch about it again some more.
  8. Random thoughts: 1. From here on out, ...Kelly was a bitch about it is like her spirit name, her main driving force. It kind of reminds me of how back in the day in your recaps of MSCL, (I loved those recaps almost as much as the show!) you would just recap Danielle as: Danielle, whatever. 2. I would pay 50.00 just for "Gordon Lightfoot" to make an appearance on the podcast, read an ad, whatever GL wanted to do. I loves Gordon Lightfoot. 3. Joe's, "She's (insert very awkward long pause) local." *facepalm. Reminded me of the season 3 line dance to cure racism episode when Brandon asks Jordan Bonner about Jordan's friends who were shot: "Were they (insert awkwardly long pause) gang bangers? Oy. I love remembering Sarah's mocking French spin on it too. "Gaung Banges".
  9. Hi there! This is Charlotte! The one who got so involved with her weird fangirl email/ ad request that she forgot to type in "my husband's" name. While you were all so close... his name is Mike. We thoroughly enjoyed all the guesses, though! Now Mike is claiming that we really just met, and I don't actually know his real name. He's angling for Batman, but...No. Anyway, thank you for using my goof to great advantage, adding to an already amusing ad for our 20th anniversary. He said it was the best anniversary gift ever. (Now, if only we could get him to run with the idea for my 50th birthday in 12 days.) Yes, I'm such a Scorp, as Iris would say. ...Apparently Luke is on the cover of this month's AARP mag. I came home from work tonight to find my invitation to join AARP in the mail pilot. Nooooo. The one association with the show I do not want.
  10. I've giggled throughout this podcast (not unusual) at Sarah's long, windy sighs of disgust, especially during the Lucinda/Brandon clips. Play clip, pause for comment... Pregnant pause (though not as pregnant as Ohhhndrea hiiiiiyo). Then Sarah, Siiiighhhhhhhhhhh!
  11. To take a leaf from Dead (Not Dead) Jack's book, I am damn glad you guys are back!
  12. Words cannot express how much I enjoyed this episode. :) I enjoy them all, but it was so interesting to hear about his first case, and how he overcame the objections of the "old guard" and proved them wrong. How he took so much time and put in such effort with a case they deemed unsolvable. And he nailed it! I also loved all the little humorous touches, like the kind of tense "wild west" face-off music that would play when he'd encounter one of the old guard. I kept expecting to hear the theme from "The Good The Bad and The Ugly. :) And there's just something about him to me, that makes him very handsome, both when he was younger, and even now. All that cragginess and wear has its own appeal. Plus, he has a great smile. And it seems like the smile always came fairly easy to him, even with all he has seen...
  13. Yeah, or the way Brandon gets treated when it's found out he had sex with Cheryl, Vs. Brenda/Dylan Or the way he was treated when they picked him up for drunk driving vs. picking Brenda up from the store for shoplifting, which she wasn't even doing.Although (surprisingly) Jim was more the voice of reason on that one, than Cindy. I've always disliked the way Cindy reacted in that scene. Or...About a hundred different instances...
  14. Lol. That was my first thought also. Your other two thoughts cracked me up!
  15. Yes, Dyl-wan-kenobi knew the procedural down to the minute, practically.
  16. The only one I watched from yesterday's lineup (because I still have the other ones saved on my DVR from Soapnet) was the season 1 finale, where they thought that they were going to move back to MN. I noticed that the last song, Celebrate Me Home, was actually kept intact. I wonder why some songs here and there, but not others? Must be a copyright (age of song) thing?
  17. Exactly! I don't understand how Soapnet could use the original music, but TVGN can't?!?
  18. Yes! I turned to MrRunner and said, "That is no newborn!"
  19. Why is this no longer on Amazon Streaming? First five episodes, then nada. And On demand only has through episode six. What's up? I just got to liking the show in episode 4.
  20. To me, it seemed like there was barely contained animosity between Ronn and Tyler. Ronn just seemed generally pissed.
