  1. The house might have radiant heat too.   I'm sure the bathroom floors do, plus heated towel racks.     I guess Kathy didn't want a Heritage or Vintage house, and wanted the open floor plan.   She did have that on her wishlist, but of course that was tailored to what she already owned.

Kathy wanted to be close to her family, and her friends, and I love she stayed in the area she loves.

I don't think it was ever really mentioned again unless the Supersized episode discussed it further.

Nothing was really added to the Supersized episode with the bonus scenes.   Since she refused therapy, nothing was discussed about her traumas, except what she mentioned.

What exactly is the name of the muscle relaxant product spelled out as I want to buy this. Anyone have any idea how long it lasts??

I tried using V Seat's Website to buy one but the idiotic in my opinion website won't let me register to buy & I have second thoughts of buying this product if I'm able to buy this as a result.

Sorsoap is the name, as in Sore Soap.  They have it on Amazon as well as their website.

As far as I can tell, VSeat is only sold on their own website.

  4. Gold Lady of Lake Mendota"

    New,  4/12/2024

From IMDB: The incredible story of a Wisconsin woman who didn’t win the lottery but made a savvy investment that paid off big time – to the tune of eight figures!  With the largest budget he’s ever been given, host David is on a mission to find the ultimate lakefront mega-mansion for this fortunate homeowner. From breathtaking views to luxurious amenities, David is determined to help her find the perfect dream home that reflects her newfound wealth and lifestyle.  (Is this the largest budget compared to the couple who bought a mountain top estate in season 1?)

Kathy and sister Peg tour homes on Lake Mendota, in Madison, Wisconsin.   Kathy managed her investments in a biotech company, and has a budget of $3 to $4 million, and up to $6 million for the right home.

Wishlist-Kathy wants to be on Lake Mendota, great view, 5,000 sq ft or more, so officially a mansion, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Open floor plan living area.  Lots of land.   (Kathy is considering a place in Florida, and shopping with David).

House 1-Blackwolf Bay - 3 bed, 4 bath, 5000 sq ft, $2.5 million on 1/2 acre.  Very modern Beautiful living area, huge kitchen with induction cooktop.  Guest bedroom has a balcony, and great view.  Primary bedroom is even bigger, and a putting green on the balcony.   Ensuite and closet are gigantic.   Pool table, guest bathroom with a speaking toilet (Kohler).  The back yard has a chessborad, boathouse that's a playroom.  Dock and boat lift.   Kathy wants more property.  (However, I want to move into the primary suite and never leave).

House 2-Thornberry Bay -4 bed, 5 bath, 7400 sq ft, $4.25 million. Fantastic front drive and garages, gigantic two story entry, living, decks and balconies, David's right, it looks like an upscale mall.  Kitchen is gigantic.  Stairs are curving, two guest bedrooms on the second floor, with the huge primary with windows on three sides.   Balcony /deck is overhanging the lake.

House 3-Whistling Wake -4 bed, 8 bath, 6300 sq ft, $5.2 million. Sauna, pickleball court (not included in the sq ft). 4 car garage, plus another garage attached.  Fantastic living/dining/kitchen with the most wonderful view.  Kitchen has touchless everything, 4 ovens, humongous stove, on the third floor.  Main bedroom is ont ehfourth floor, with a huge closet, and ensuite.   Guest bedrooms all have ensuites, and great views, with an elevator.  second floor is a rec room with a gym, sauna , and steam room and pickleball indoor court, locker room, kitchenette, sports bar, another bath.   Plus, a huge hot tub/spa, boat house.    If she doesn't buy this one I'll be so sad.

She buys # 3.  This was such an amazing episode.  Kathy invites David to come and play pickleball at the house.   I love that Kathy has so many friends and relatives that will enjoy the house too.   And I love she invited David to come up and visit.

Did that lady in pink say god told her so start the company?  Yikes.

Yes she did.   She said He talked to her in a dream about creating the product.

Product is just quirky enough to sell thousands.    I can see dancers, pageant kids, prom and other events, and just someone who likes sparkle getting this.   I bet being on the show was a huge sales surge for them.   Sounds like with a little bit of organization, she'll be a great success.

Deal with Robert and Kevin $200,000 for 25%.

Wedy Wedding Packages-an app that makes wedding planning simpler.  $300,000 for 5%.   Wedy can bundle services from vendors with one stop planning and booking vendors, with one bill and contract.   They have a couple (Hannah and John) that are getting married on Shark Tank, with bartender, florist, officiant (they book Kevin),  and Kevin performs the ceremony.       They are a total wedding planning business, they are the only ones with a centralized vendor and planning system for weddings (main competitor is The Knot), they are currently in seven major markets, and 1200 vendors, and charge 7% from the vendors.   Couples enter location, budget, and needs, and book the entire bundle through Wedy.   Launched in 2020, They make 24% margin on sales. And $1.2 million for 2023.   They make a decent profit.     Kevin hates the high valuation, and he’s out.   Robert is out.  Mark is out.  Barbara is out. Lori thinks it’s too early, and she’s out.

    No deal.

Sorsoap Massage Bar Soap- a post-workout soap for muscle recovery. $100,000 for 10%.   All natural ingredients, and combines with muscle scraping.    They sell to other therapists, and online.  Kevin is out, he has a conflict.  Barbara says no retail, and she’s out.  Robert is out.   Lori is out.  Mark offers $100,000 for 20%.

    Deal with Mark.

Blinger Hair Gems-a hair styling tool that puts bling in hair.  Mother and Daughter duo who created Blinger.  $200,000 for 5%.  They demonstrate, load the plastic device, and it puts sparkly gems in your hair.   There's adhesive on each stone, and they brush out easily.  There are two versions $49 or $29.99.  They supplied wigs for the men to try this.  The mother is in almost $2 million in debt, so she sold the house.   They were Toy of the Year at their first trade show in Dallas.  The company did $20 million in sales.  She got another house.  2020 and 2021 both sucked for the company.  Illegal infringers made a huge dent in profits.  The mother kept the women's version right.  The women now own the rights to both versions.   They have $1.5 million in sales 2022, and 2023.

They want more staff, and inventory support, and marketing.    Kevin says to find someone who takes over their operations, and he's out.   Mark is out.  Robert is out.   Lori is out.

Barbara offers $200,000 for 25%.  Her contingency is that they come to New York and she'll help them reorganize things. Barbara will fund purchase orders.

    Deal with Barbara.

Update:  Kawaha 1893 Coffee, from women coffee farmers in Kenya.  Deal is with Emma.  They sold millions since the deal, $4.5 million in 2023.  They partner with Target, and Keurig, and other coffee dealers.

Iconic Moment:  PDX Pet Design, season 8 Robert demonstrated a cat comb you hold in your mouth.  He’s still ashamed of doing that.

They moved into his house, and then he tossed her out.   When plaintiff left she took three out of four children with her.    Plaintiff's case is dismissed for shouting out in court.  Sadly, oldest son has advanced cancer.     Defendant claims woman came back to his house, caused damages, and woman and three of her relatives invaded his house.   There is a mutual restraining order.   Also, a family court judge gave this woman majority custody of the four children.

Plaintiff has no receipts for anything.   Cases dismissed.

Plaintiff never even finished painting the floor.   Defendant is counter suing for utility bills, and damages to the building.     New tenant has their business up and running in 30 days, not a year later.

    Contracting Conundrum

    New,  Season 10, Episode

(Rodney and Jessie Bruce vs. Debra Shelton-Love)

From the show site: After hitting it off on a cruise to Greece, a property owner hired a handyman to bring her inherited illegal unit up to code. She claims he represented himself as a licensed contractor, which she desperately needed for the project. But he refutes that. Now he's demanding to be paid for his work

Plaintiff /handyman suing defendant /homeowner met on a cruise to Greece.   Defendant and handyman developed a relationship, and she became friends with the plaintiff's wife.  Defendant wife claimed they renovate halfway houses, but claims defendant was told he's not a licensed contractor.    Each side is suing for $5,000.  Plaintiff claims defendant never paid him.      There is another $900 job estimated for $900, and Rodney says he did some of the work, but defendant interrupted him.

Rodney claims he was supposed to demo a garage on her property, remove all drywall, and garage door, and convert it to an ADU, but he claims he was never paid all of the money, $965, only $900.The garage to ADU was illegal to convert, since there wasn't a licensed contractor on the job.   When the city found out the lack of permits and contractor's license, then defendant had to go to court.

There are a variety of properties plaintiff worked on, and he has receipts for thousands of dollars in materials defendant didn't pay for.   However, defendant already planning to have her cousin, another handyman do the work for her too.

Defendant brought very little proof of anything.

Plaintiff will get what he has proof for, and what can be done by an unlicensed contractor, $3000

  10. I'm watching the Supersized episode, and those biscuits look delicious.

Her mother does say that she's at the end of her rope, and can't support Shakyia eating herself to death any longer, and that her daughter is an adult and she can't do anything but offer to diet with her.    Bonus scene was kind of pointless, and added nothing.

So, month 1-655 (she expected mid 500's).  The sister's pink top is a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, I'm guessing sister didn't realize how stretchy that top was.  I had high hopes for her after this visit. Then, she never contacted Dr. Now in 5 months.

Month 7-Office finally contacts Shakyia, this is when she spins her story about being in hospice after her family threw her out.  Amazing how the headboard on the hospice bed, and the exterior of the hospice looks exactly like the extended stay hotel she stays in for the rest of the show.

Amazing her headboard and motel exterior are the same as her 'hospice' bed.  The bandage on her leg scares me.  Infection can be so bad.

Month 10-same motel, same decor, same headboard, and exterior is the same.

Month 11-same as month 7 through 10. This is where Dr. Now tells her not to move to Houston, and will set up her visit to the clinic in Charlotte. She might want to stick that bottle of Ranch dressing in the fridge.  Down to 643, so 12 lbs in a year.   Dr. Now lays it on the line about her lack of progress, and that she should have lost 300 lbs, not 12.   It's so sad seeing her final visit to the clinic for a weigh in Year 1 and month 1. She did lose 8 more lbs. but that's not even a decent effort.

    1 year and 4 months-Nothing changed.

She never did therapy, lost virtually no weight, and sabotaged her chance to change her life and health.    I really had hopes for her at the beginning, but Dr. Now can't help someone who won't help themselves.

The episode description just mentioned her mom bailing on her (which after hearing her back story wasn't surprising; she didn't sound like the most reliable parent), so I was surprised that everyone else seemed to as well. The exact wording was "she'll be in for a shock when her mom decides that caring for her is just too much." But we didn't even see that, just jumped to her being on her own in a hotel.

I knew it was going nowhere when they showed us the entire trip to Houston. Way too much time filled with that (not sure what time they started the trip, but it wasn't too long into the episode, and it was almost an hour in before they actually got there). They obviously didn't have much else to use.

I will assume someone else will watch and post if there is anything worth sharing. (I don't watch the supersize episodes, anyway. I have better things to watch on Thursday.)

I'm going to watch the Supersized edition tonight.    Not much else on Thursday nights.   Hoping there are bonus scenes that explain a few things.

  12. I looked online, and there are six homes in the Milwaukee Burnham Block, they require reservations for tours, and some are tenant occupied.  So, they're not just empty and a museum site.   I wondered if they were empty too, but most aren't.

Boom Crash the Sound of My Car"”

    New, Season 10, Episode

    (Chris Vivar vs. Erin Ward)

From the show site: A retail employee claims he lost his job because Uber consistently made him late, and it's the defendant's fault for hitting and totaling his car. She denies responsibility, saying she was the victim of a hit-and-run; and besides, it's not her fault he failed to leave earlier for work.

Plaintiff suing defendant for making him late for work, getting him fired, and car damages.  Plaintiff's car was parked, when defendant ran into the car, and defendant's insurance paid him $5,000.   He's suing for $1900 more.

Police report says defendant caused the accident, and was suspected of being impaired.      Defendant claims another driver clipped the rear driver's side back quarter panel, that caused her to spin out, and she hit the plaintiff's car. Defendant was put in cuffs, and driven away, and claims she was released after a breathalyzer, and blood test, and no results were released.  Police report doesn't mention anything about another car hitting defendant's car.

Police reports said there were no skid marks from defendant either.

Plaintiff says he only found out the insurance company for defendant from the police report.

Insurance release is only for car damages, nothing else.  Defendant didn't bring any photos showing the damages on her car from the other vehicle showing red paint.  Defendant also throws in that her dog died three weeks after the accident.   Defendant's car was totaled.

Defendant's boyfriend, Chris Simmons, claims they couldn't take pictures of the cars.

(I would give plaintiff everything he asked for.  Defendant has a lot of testimony about the accident, but no witnesses who saw the accident, or any photos of her car showing damages from the phantom hit and run driver either.

Plaintiff receives $600 for towing and storage fees for his car.

  14. She did mention a job a few times.   Some of the extended stay places are no more expensive than an apartment, just usually smaller, but have some nice amenities included.

  15. I didn't have a clue how the chefs would develop a dish that met the challenge.   I was happy to see how weel almost all of the teams cooperated.   I was shocked at the Alisha and Kaleena lack of communication.

  16. The camera crew showed the truth.  "Hospice" was the same exterior as the extended stay, and the bedroom was the same.   I find it bizarre that her sister, and friend dumped her so abruptly too.    Not surprised the mother did, she did that repeatedly before.    I'm afraid Dr. Now is right, she won't make 30.

  17. I was so disappointed, Shakyia needed to change, and Dr. Now helped her as much as he could, but she just wouldn't do her part.   She needed therapy so much, but never would do that either.    She could have been such a success.

  19. Year 1, and 1 month, another local clinic weigh in.

Weight- 635 lbs., so she lost 8 lbs this time.   Dr. Now is telling the truth, but she won't believe it.      She doesn't want to cooperate on therapy, and I think Dr. Now knows that.

I'm so sad for her.   I thought she was determined, but she doesn't want therapy, or really lose weight.  20 lbs. down in over a year isn't a real attempt.

    Dr. Now looks so sad.

1 year and 4 months-still at the extended stay. She says she's working hard, and still planning to move to Houston.   She's not doing therapy either.     She could have changed and improved so much at her young age.   I'm so sad for her.

  22. Month 7 telemedicine visit with Dr. Now.  She had respiratory failure, and was on a vent, and couldn't walk.   I'm devastated for her.

Why is she in hospice?   Isn't that for terminal?   I can see sending her to a rehab, but why hospice?    I'm not liking her mother, abandoning her again.
