  1. Glad Mai is the winner. She was consistent throughout and called out Ashley, so she is alright to me. I enjoyed the montage at the end of the various memorable contestants. Spencer eating cookies was adorable!
  2. I really disliked Prospero this episode so was glad he died at the end by acid rain. None of the kids have any redeeming qualities, so far, so I am going to enjoy watching each of them suffer a terrible death every episode. Yay!
  3. I have only seen the first episode so far, but it is pretty obvious that Roderick and Madeline struck a bargain with the Devil (Verna) to cover up the crime they committed during NYE 1979, and that the bargain was all his kids would die horrible deaths.
  4. Poor Spencer. Glad he is much better now. It was heartbreaking seeing him being bullied into selecting the umbrella by Bryton, and then having all his teammates side eye him afterwards.
  5. This is true. Based on early episodes, I would have picked Trey, his mother, and the 2 members of the Gganbu gang (Steve and the older Doctor) as finalists due to their heavy amount of screentime. They did have the typical "villain" edits though for Ashley 278 and Bryton. Ashley was especially villainous while Bryton was just a frat boy. Glad they were both eliminated. Of the remaining 3, I am thinking it will be between Mai and one of the 2 guys (Phil and Sam). Phil/Sam will get into a situation in the finale where one of them has to sacrifice the other, leading to an emotional struggle/conflict. Then the remaining guy competes against Mai and wins it all. Maybe.
  6. I thought this was a fun episode. Vivian is a relatable protagonist and Lisa Rinna is perfectly cast as the modeling agent. The tapeworm in the bathtub was gross. Not sure why she just sat in the tub after getting it out of her body. Overall this is the best episode of the season for me.
  7. This is my least favorite episode of the season as I thought the story was too grim, and the Bestie character was so creepy the way she manipulated Shelby. The arm hammering scene was gruesome!
  8. This episode was not bad. It had some humor but the lead actor was not too convincing. I would have liked more explanation about the new organ they are growing inside him and why he was chosen. Not the worst of the season but not the best either.
  9. This is a surprisingly good episode. The actors are all competent and seem like they are a notch above the usual cast for this series. The ending was a little rushed but I really enjoyed it overall.
  10. Another boring episode. At least we got Ms. Preecher's backstory. The actress who plays Sonia is gorgeous. Glad she got to have more lines during the dinner scene. Everything else is meh! I don't think I am going to come back to watch the rest of the season. This is easily the worst AHS season ever. Even Cult and Roanoke had interesting moments. This is just dreck all the way.
  11. Looks like the publicists in the present day are all witches making deals with pregnant women to get their babies. Maybe Kim Kardashian is the monster baby that was taken away from the queen. I don't know why I am still watching this drivel. Clearly, nobody involved with the production cares anymore.
  12. This is truly the most boring AHS season yet. I kept fast forwarding through the episode because nothing was happening. Kim Kardashian and the hot bodyguard are the only good parts of this episode. What a snoozefest!
  13. This second episode is even worse than the first. Just another slow-moving uneven mess where nothing happens. Kim Kardashian's line readings are starting to grate. Seems like she is playing the exact same character as Leslie Grossman in previous seasons. What age is Emma Roberts' character supposed to be? She doesn't seem much older than the other actress she met at the awards ceremony? I think maybe the part was originally written for an older actress like Sarah Paulson, who probably turned it down after reading the scripts. LOL
  14. Like others have said, this season premiere is the most boring and lacklustre one yet. There is nothing exciting about it and the premise feels like a retread of every cliched Netflix horror film from the last 10 years. There is even a "American Horror Stories" episode with Billie Lourd (!) that even has the exact same story. Kim Kardashian's acting is better than I expected, but I literally had my bar set on the ground. Ironically, she is the best part of the show for me right now, since everything else is so gray and beige and nothing. This may turn out to be the worst AHS season yet.
  15. LOL. I couldn't stop laughing when they made that reveal.
  16. This was totally not what I expected, but I find the entire episode to be strangely poignant and surreal. Gino dying at the end really got to me. I really like the 2 central characters Gino and Patrick this season and it was nice that Gino got to live happily ever after with Patrick in the afterlife. I wish they had tied up all the loose ends better but this ending is not nearly as bad as those from the last season, specifically the "Red Tide" one.
  17. I was sucked into watching this due to the Guillermo Del Toro name and also it being the only new horror-esque show on Netflix. I enjoyed a few of the episodes but was mostly underwhelmed by the lack of actual "horror". Favorites for me were "The Autopsy" (a little slow at first but the ending with the alien creature and the forensic pathologist was pretty scary), "The Viewing" (love the style and humor, and the creature at the end was fun), and "Pickman's Model" (the paintings were scary and acting was good). Middle of the pack were "The Murmuring" (good acting, Andrew Lincoln was great, a little slow-paced), "The Outside" (fun story, was nice to see Matthew from Downton Abbey as the Alo Glo guy) and "Lot 36" (good story, main protagonist was annoying). Worst of the lot: "Graveyard Rats" (not interesting and the giant rat at the end was laughably bad) and "Dreams in the Witch House" (nice to see Ron Weasley all grown up, but the story was boring and weak, and the rat with the face was annoying and stupid). There were some moments I enjoyed overall, but unless they dial up the "horror" aspect, I doubt I will return to watch if there is a season 2.
  18. Is Sandra Bernhard's character supposed to be the same age as the other 2 lesbian characters? She looks old enough to be their mother. LOL how do you shoot a serial killer and not immediately pull off his mask to find out his real identity? Given that Patrick saw Barbara on the street and in Fire Island after she died, and Big Daddy appears to be unkillable, perhaps they are ghosts trapped in NYC just like the other AHS ghosts in precious seasons who can only roam where they died. Theo's death scene is surreal and strangely moving. I am glad they didn't have a graphic scene of him being sexually assaulted or murdered by Big Daddy because that would be hard to watch. This is one of the best seasons since "Hotel" and "Asylum". Hoping the finale will not disappoint.
  19. What a badly acted scene. I felt like I was watching a middle school stage play. Not rinsing out the sink and her mouth after vomiting is disgusting! Glad the Mai Tai Killer mystery is resolved, but sad that Mr. Whitely is also gone. As much as he gives me the creeps, I will miss seeing him onscreen as he is probably the best and most memorable AHS villain in a long time. Probably since Twisty the Clown, whom if I remember correctly, was also killed mid-season.
  20. Love Denis O'Hare as Henry. Would love to see an entire spin-off season starring his character as a fixer for the mafia in 1970s NYC. Mr Whitely still gives me the creeps, especially his extremely small nose and the way he walks, talks and looks at you. The actor is really doing such a great job in this role! Probably the best AHS villain in a long, long time! I definitely think they are building up to Patrick being Big Daddy. That sex scene where they killed the young man in the mask was one of the hardest scenes to watch in the entire series for me, on par with the Drilldo one in "Hotel". Just when I thought AHS couldn't shock me anymore!
  21. My favorite character this season has got to be the drag performer with the mustache that works for Patti LuPone at the bath house. Her song at the beginning of the episode with the 2 male dancers was everything! Hopefully she doesn't become a victim of Big Daddy like Dunaway from the gay nightclub that was burned down. I am also liking all the new actors except for Isaac Powell (who plays Theo). His acting is strangely exaggerated and unconvincing to me. Great body though. I think he was also in the last season as one of the male teenagers who got pregnant with alien babies. Hope Barb's papillon goes to a good home. What a cutie!
  22. I have been pleasantly surprised by this season, particularly the great acting from the new cast. One reason why I feel like this may not be as popular of a season as others is because it is too "realistic," i.e. not campy enough, and there is hardly any gore. The 2 main actors (who play Gino and Patrick) are real standouts acting wise, and Whitely is one of the scariest serial killers I have ever seen. That face alone gives me chills! Big Daddy seems like he will turn out to be an illusion or ghost. Right now, Patrick is the most suspicious one as the potential serial killer but I am hoping they won't make it so obvious. But with AHS, you never know. In another season, Ryan Murphy will probably have Cody Fern play Gino and Finn Wittrock as the closeted cop, with Evan Peters as Adam. Glad they didn't go that route.
  23. I think this is true as well. Everyone is now in a world that is ruled by Reginald. If there is a 4th season, I think it will probably be about them trying to get back their powers in some way.
  24. I enjoyed this episode. The bachelor party and wedding reception were fun. I especially enjoyed the sweet little moments between Lila and Diego, Luther and Sloane, and Five's karaoke duet with Klaus. Allison and Viktor are both annoying and can get off my screen now. This season is a little meh for me so far. There are 2 episodes left and the world is ending, so hopefully it will pick up after this.
  25. I am really disliking the Sparrows and so was glad when the 2 most annoying ones were killed by Harlan. Good riddance! I also wanted to see Diego and Allison beat the shit out of the white supremacist bar patrons. Maybe in the next episode. Can't believe Klaus died! He's my favorite. Hope they are able to bring him back to life.
