  1. I always figured this was the reason. IIRC she said her first husband was going to California and she was going to stay in Texas to pursue DCC right after their Texas honeymoon. idk maybe it was only supposed to be a temporary arrangement, maybe she only planned on cheering for one year, or maybe she really needed benefits but I remember thinking "damn, that doesn't sound like a great start to a marriage" when that episode first aired. I listened to Vivian's Be Your Own Cheerleader episode about her time on DCC: MTT. It was mildly interesting. BTW, Viv is not as entertaining as she thinks she is lol. She said she wrote her high school drill team a poem and they loved it and that's why she wrote the now infamous poem for K & J. She also said she struggled with body dysmorphia and I really felt for her. However those 50,000 "fans" really went to her head damn. She said she was supposed to win the next year but Loren (she didn't name her specifically but it's obvi who she's talking about) had her students use fake emails (not sure I believe the fake email part) to vote her into training camp. Not really sure why she's salty about that, she made it to TC again on her own merit. Whatever. I'm sure if Vivian taught a class full of students she would have used that to her advantage too, like how Maddie used her entire small town to her advantage. I can't believe I liked Vivian so much her first year (I honestly still think she should have made it that year). I do sympathize that the show was so hard on her body image. I think her second season was her real self. I wonder if her second season got her blacklisted from Dallas dance teams, I used to follow her and I remember she tried out for a bunch but only made AAIA and some soccer dance team. I think she could have killed it dancing for the Mavs. Also apparently she was homecoming queen? In her introductory sob story she basically described herself as an ugly duckling and overweight. How small was her high school? I don't know any ugly ducklings who were homecoming queen but ok.
  2. I also find it very realistic that Amy is wary about getting married again, but at the same time I get where Jonah is coming from. I understand why they're breaking up, but I'm still annoyed after seasons of build up tbh. She was never my favorite character so I don't think it will be a huge loss (I think people are being overly dramatic comparing her to Michael Scott lol), I've always found the side characters to be the funniest part about this show anyway. Like, I understand that she's the "straight man" or whatever it's called, but I think it could be okay without her. I'm a sucker for a love story though and I hope that the series finale, whenever that will be, reunites Amy and Jonah. (Comparing to that 70's show - spoilers if you haven't seen it) I really like how the characters are wearing masks when they're out on the floor.
  3. I thought Meagan looked great and hated the thutt BS too. For the record I also thought Vivian looked fine her first year with her drumstick thighs and boots that went up to her knees.
  4. Jessika also had a boxy figure (reminds me of Lisa and Meredith) that doesn't look good in uniform imo. She's one of a few that I don't understand how she made the team, much less for multiple years. I'm rewatching season 10 and damn Shelbi is kind of annoying. I feel like she thought she could make the team just because she had some 1 and cut DCC friends and was on a high profile all star cheer team.
  5. Too bad it was canceled, it was cute. I also think it would have been good on a freeform type network. Maybe The CW, the show's aesthetic kinda reminded me of Jane the Virgin, it felt whimsical imo. Kind of interesting, or at least I think it is haha, the original Israeli version is apparently a huge hit, but both adaptations (Dutch and American) were canceled after one season.
  6. I know its a sitcom, but 2 things are bothering me: Would Amy be able to take Parker that far away from Adam? And how is Amy climbing the corporate ladder if she doesn't have a degree? I know she was in college earlier in the series, so once she got this job I just assumed she graduated. The retail company I work for loves to promote people from within too, but at a certain point you have to get a college education. It probably won't be addressed, but that was bugging me.
  7. I think this would have made a good series finale (at least the Amy and Jonah part, not a good wrap up for the rest of the characters imo) Personally, I would have been satisfied if this was their ending, and I'm not sure if I'm excited about season 6. I wasn't crazy about the Sandra/Glenn story at first, but the end was pretty cute. I hope that's the end of Jerry and Sandra's family planning though, this show doesn't need another baby storyline. I like babies, I just dont find them to be interesting plots lol
