  1. Mine too! Except then my brain, body, and wallet yelled RUN B!TCH! RUNNNN!!!
  2. Yeah.......about that. I'm 44. I can't make a decent grilled cheese, and I can't not break a cork. I can do pretty much anything else in life and even excel at some stuff. Just not that. I have to own it.
  3. I had to rewatch all of the episodes with MrKnopeWaffle, who wanted to get into the series with me. I’ve noticed a couple of things. First, in the narration from The Headless Warden, he kept referring to “what WE did.” So we know he didn’t act alone. When Henry’s Dad has Henry out in the woods he asks him “do you hear it now?” DevilBoy asks him the same thing after he asks how old he is. This makes me think that Henry was being used or was used to help trap DevilBoy to begin with? Or was going to be used to get rid of him and couldn’t? When Jackie Torrance mentions Henry’s disappearance while talking to Henry, she mentions the storm that hit, “Guinness Record” stuff, and I thought about Storm of the Century and the couple that gave their son to the devil guy to make the storm go away. My memory is rusty on the players and I’m not equipped to multiple screen google at the moment. I am thinking DevilBoy might be a little too young to be that kid all grown and sent out in the world to cause shenanigans, but maybe not?
  4. I’m enjoying this show and was gaping like a slack jawed yokel the last 5 minutes. I wasn’t expecting that. I am wondering if Henry is “special” somehow and he is meant to defeat/banish Devil Boy. He’s relatively unassuming, he has a reasonable and well earned distaste for his hometown, he doesn’t seem to have much luck career wise. I can accept he may be an unlikely hero of some kind. I wish I can binge this but so far it’s a practice in patience for me. It reminds me of Carnivale. A slow smart burn that was totally worth the confusion until it was CANCELLED! But this is Stephen King material and so often the tv adaption payoffs are rarely worth it. But I have hope.
