  1. I do too! They both seem like actual friends and their conversation feels natural. I hope this doesn't get strung out too long - Marion can only get away with so many broken engagements before getting some kind of reputation!
  2. I actually like Gladys, but I found the Buccaneers so bad I turned it off after two episodes. Despite my dislike, it has been done there, and Downton as well for that matter.
  3. I totally agree that Peggy is a main character.......on a different show. On this show, her story seems shoe horned into the rest of the story and isn't connected in almost any way so it feels like a different show inside this one. I find it frustrating on both ends - every time the story moves to Peggy I wish it didn't, but I think if Peggy's story was examined in it's own space, it would be fascinating. Black middle class northerners in the post-Civil War era is not something I've ever seen on TV and I would definitely watch!
  4. What a wonderful season this was! Like many here, I was a little disappointed by Rob & Corey's third place finish, and it seemed underwhelming that the best team this season won, but it was well deserved. But all three teams were great in one way or another, and I can't be too sad about it. Greg and John were so dominant that it's hard to begrudge them the win. Still, it's a pretty good consolation prize to be able to say you completed the entire race even if you didn't win, and I love seeing the camaraderie amongst all the teams at the finish mat. Reminds me of my other favorite reality show, GBBO. This cast across the board was great, and the countries visited were beautiful and challenges were interesting. This will go down as one of my favorite seasons ever.
  5. I don't find their knowledge of everything arrogant, but I do find the comment of "oh one win, that's so cute" kind of rude. Some great teams have been taken down by taxis and other things in the last leg, so he might want to brush up on his history of TAR and realize it's anyone's game in the finale.
  6. Oops! That might have been a season I skipped 🤪
  7. I said the exact same thing about Greg and John - literally every task they do they have some kind of experience with! Plus their navigation skills are great, and they never get flustered. One of the greatest teams ever, if not the greatest. Still, my heart belongs to Rob and Corey - my favorite team ever. And Corey getting flustered with his Riverdance instructor was so cute! He's going to be VERY popular after this show! How smart for them to keep track of roadblocks and prepare for Corey to do them at this point! Steve did better with the roadblocks than I thought he would after running and swimming, but their Achilles heal is navigation which got them again. Joel and Garrett have such a great attitude, and after seeing the one's (sorry don't know which is which and it doesn't help that they call each other by their last names) daughter, I would not be sad for a surprise win by them. I hope she gets her service dog!!!!! I cannot express how great this season has been. The teams, the locations, the challenges. Classic TAR. Love it!!!!!!!
  8. You are correct, and yet another reason why I find this a boring outcome. I would much rather have seen Daniella win - for me, her choreography was far and away the best thing this season, and it would have been nice to see a pro who has never won get the mirrorball. This was Val's third win, and second with a young teen. I wonder how Xotchitl would have done if she had been paired with someone like Brandon or Alan????
  9. I'm really bummed Jason didn't win and another social media teen won. I honestly would have preferred anyone besides Xochitl (and Val). I did enjoy this season as there wasn't really any one ringer and Jason, Xochitl, Ariana and Charity were all pretty even as far as talent, and the rest of the cast (except maybe Harry) was fun to watch. The hosting team of Alfonso and Julianne was fantastic, and putting Derek in Len's seat was about as good as it was going to get. But I just feel like Danielle absolutely deserved to win for her choreography and Jason had more personality in his dances. As far as the freestyles, I liked Jason and Allyson the best because their partners were actually dancing with them. The other three pros just were part of a troupe support for the "star" for the most of the dance. So despite being a good season, I went to bed disappointed......oh well, there's always next season! 😜
  10. I have only watched the first episode, but I am in! I kind of love Belle and her gives zero effs about being polite to her "suitor" and the acceptable activities for ladies of this era. I like the lightly humorous tone of this, as well as the setting. Kind of creeped out by the surgeries being a form of entertainment for the masses. Gross. But Jack and Belle are cute together and have great chemistry, as well as Jack and Fagin. I will keep watching!
  11. THIS. If it was based on personality, Rahul would never have won! I was rooting for Tasha, so I was sad when she was eliminated last episode, but as a whole, this entire group is very likeable and I would not have been mad at any of them winning. As was said, all had two star baker wins and all got a Paul Hollywood Handshake. I would say Josh had a slight edge going into the showstopper, but they liked Matty's cake more, and Josh's decorating was pretty pedestrian. I always think the showstopper is weighted more than the other two rounds, especially in the finale. Good for Matty - how cute is he and his fiance??? This season was excellent. Lovable contestants, great challenges, and finally! The perfect partner for Noel. Bring on the next season!
  12. Totally agree. For such a fun enjoyable season, this was quite the downer of an ending. I think Gerry was so desperate to be the nice guy, he went too far in what he said to all three final women. He did Faith and Leslie dirty. I am glad Leslie didn't pull any punches when she called him a liar - he absolutely was. I think him telling his family that Teresa was the safe choice was the most telling statement of them all. She absolutely was the safe choice. But I guess they belong together - he sounds like Kermit and she looks like a muppet so.......🤷‍♀️ The most disappointing thing about this episode was that there was no announcement of a Golden Bachelorette. Still hoping it's Susan..... And take it down a notch or ten Jesse Palmer - Absolutely nothing happened this episode that SHOCKED US TO THE CORE! Well, maybe Leslie in Costa Rica, but us the audience? Nah......
  13. You read my mind! Maybe this experience will help Larry mature and become the adult man that Marion needs? 😂
  14. I think it's interesting that they pegged Rob and Corey as the other top team considering they haven't had one first place finish all season. I love them, but I am not sure that they are any more of a threat than AL & Dad, Todd & Ashleigh or the beards on any given challenge. Other than the Greg & John juggernaut, I think it's pretty even between those other four teams. I hope Rob & Corey use that express pass to propel them to at least one first place finish!
  15. I think this is exactly why there will be continued self-navigation - it's a really easy way to build in a switch up in the pecking order and add some natural drama. I love that they have added back booking travel, but it's only been a couple times. The self navigation always shows some teams as good navigators and some not so good, and I love that it can change the order with one wrong turn. Funny how AL's demeanor improved the closer she got to first place. She is like two different people depending on where she's at between first and last place. But kudos to them for kicking it into high gear and moving up. They are formidable when navigation doesn't take them out. And I noticed that AL had no problem sharing helpful tips with Rob and Corey at the barnacle challenge, but not a word to Robbin when assembling those pots and pans. I wonder whether that was because she was fighting her way out of last or because Robbin and Chelsea have been less than friendly or maybe both? I am glad Rob and Corey were so close to the front to not sabotage their chances by changing detours. I think that's the first major error they've committed. Robbin and Chelsea were more gracious in losing than they were in playing the game. I am not sorry to see these two leave. I wish they had been eliminated before a few of the other teams that seemed sorrier to leave. Greg and John are so good, but so boring. I would love for someone else to beat them to the mat just once. I hope the F3 are them, Rob and Corey and the Beards. Everyone left is nice and pretty good depending on the tasks and navigation, so I could see any combination of those left getting to the finals, which to me is a good sign of a great season.
  16. I am enjoying this season more as well because it feels like a more level playing field, but two years in a row with the teen phenom winning is a boring outcome. Even worse if Harry wins.....
  17. I am beyond annoyed - wtf with Jason's scores????? There is no way he should be at the bottom of the board with the amount of content he had in his routine! And I agree that the song was atrocious for a Samba! I would rather see someone totally balls out committed to the performance mouthing the words than that robot Charity going through the motions and not connecting at all! Booooo!!!!! I am so flabbergasted that Harry is still in this - he looks like Frankenstein trying to dance. I laughed when Billy called him a tree trunk. Truer words were never spoken. I have no idea who is voting for him - kids don't really watch this show, it's all old people. Who is doing this??!??? Boooo to Barry going home. I absolutely loved him! Great attitude and surprisingly spry. I wanted Jason to get those extra points, but Barry went for it! I feel like Xochitl is going to win, and I couldn't be more bored by that no matter how good she is. It feels like a repeat of last year with Charlie.
  18. THIS!!!!!! Rob and Corey are such a delight - I wish all teams had this kind of joy at just being able to experience this incredible AMAZING journey!!! I am rooting for them so hard I worry every time they struggle. Maybe my favorite race team ever! Contrast them with Anna Leigh alternating between her woe is me/ we're done crying and whining to screeching at her dad to "Move your ass!" on his SECOND set of stairs in less than a few hours when she realized they weren't completely out of it. I hope she's embarrassed when she watches this back. Not a good look Anna Leigh.... This also applies to Robin and Chelsea - maybe the two most joyless unlikeable racers ever. They treat everything like an absolute chore and almost seem disappointed in still being in the race. They talk shit about other racers and refuse to offer even a shred of a clue to anyone when they know something but then hypocritically mooch onto anyone when they can. I really hope this bites them in the ass soon. But who knows - maybe they will find it a relief to see the eyebrow of doom.....
  19. I swear that horse riding adventure was set up because the producers thought he would pick Faith!
  20. I cannot believe they are dragging this out again!!!! I have no idea who he will pick - I pegged Leslie as the winner after the first episode, but now I'm torn. I feel like if he is looking for a hot woman to go with his sexual reawakening, then it is Leslie. If he wants a safe choice, it's Teresa. But either way, I don't think either woman is destined to be with Gerry for long..... And it's made me kind of sad to see all of the comments dragging the way these women look and dress, although I know it's free game with these shows and I did joke about the plastic surgery look of some of them. Still, I think they all look fantastic and I love that they are still trying to look youthful and sexy while not being ashamed of wrinkles or saggy body parts. I am 51 but frequently get pegged as looking like I'm in my 30's (I just stopped being carded for booze a couple years ago). I still love fashion, make up and heels. I will not go gentle into that good night, and more power to them for still trying to look their most fabulous even if it's flat butts, saggy boobs, scraggly hair!
  21. These girls would be annoying in 2023! And I don't know if it's the directing, but the acting in this is atrocious. None of these people are likeable with the exception maybe of Nan's two love interests. I watched two episodes but I'm out. It's not worth my time especially with the Gilded Age to view instead right now. I am so tired of these cheeky modern period pieces.
  22. It is accurate, and unfortunately for him, he does not have a seasoned pro to take a different tone with him to force him to get better. Watching her prop him up emotionally while not calling out his posture, arm placements, sloppy feet, etc. in practice is just as frustrating as watching him bumble around in the ballroom with her flying around him.
  23. What the heck is happening? They were so nit-picky on everybody tonight! Paula was fantastic though! Jason was totally underscored by CAI and Derek - no way was that an 8 if Harry got sixes for whatever that abomination was. It is getting embarrassing that he is still here. Lele was good and didn't deserve to go yet - I still feel like she was sunk by her partner. Send Brandon back to the squad or whatever it's called! I think this show would benefit by handling the elimination like Masked Singer - no outside voting, just the studio audience and then the judges pick who goes home between the bottom two. Alison's dancing is almost unrecognizable from where she started - this is why I love this show - her dance was awesome! My favorite was Ariana - she looked great with the pros and her legs looked great to me doing the cha cha. I think she's my favorite gal this season. Xochitl is so good, but it's feeling like Charlie 2.0 - teen prodigy. And I feel like TPTB want her to win for some reason - notice how she still ended up at the top of the leader board.....The more they give her 10's and a tongue bath, the more I don't want her to win...... Charity....is just there. I am glad she got called out for her tentative dancing. I get nothing from her, like most of the bachelorettes..... This was the first time I felt like Barry danced like an old man. I am glad he survived tonight! My top three favorites are Jason, Ariana and Barry, but Alison is gaining. And one last shout out to Alfonso - I absolutely love him - he's so earnest and says some really dumb stuff but his delivery is so corny I can't help but laugh. If it can't be Tom, he's been the perfect replacement.
  24. THIS. I think my problem with this show is that there are like six upper class characters. It's New York! Where are others in "The Four Hundred"?!? It's too myopic and tiny in scope. I find most of these characters annoying, but whoever said it's costume porn was right. And the Russel's houses. Wow! I agree with Peggy - the three of them need to get away from each other. It was a relief to see Peggy with Marian. I hope that is the end of that story line for Peggy. I know he was in one minute of screen time this episode, but I am still Team Larry for Marian - he is the least annoying character on this show.
