  1. Yeah, I'm not loving the new look either. Though the icons "light up" when you pass the cursor over them.
  2. Ha! One less competition. Have fun with your new guitar, val!
  3. Ha! That's wonderful, Chyna. As someone who always sneak into the men's bathroom when the line at the women's bathroom is too long, I find it very hard to understand why people are so up in arms about a person using the bathroom they prefer. Not a Prince fan, but still sad. He was one of a kind.
  4. Hey me too! I was considering it, but I don't know if I'd feel comfortable at work. If I had another job maybe I'd feel differently.
  5. Wait a minute. Daniel? Alf has a name? We didn't know about this did we? Happy birthday to the F-let! Two teenage boys. Must be fun [/sarcasm]. Best of luck with the caretaker, Endeavour. Thinking of you, KPC. Check in when you feel like it.
  6. Enjoy your day in, cko. I hope you get off the couch as few times as possible.
  7. Awww. We love you too, KPC. I hope both Dads continue to hang in there.
  8. What a relief, Harvester. I was crushed for you and your sister. Buck is adorable.
  9. That sucks, Harvester. I don't know what else you could do. Is the dog microchipped? Hopefully someone found her and will return her. I'm so sorry.
  10. Speedy recovery vibes for KPC's Dad. I hope everyone had a nice Easter's Sunday. Is it a holiday today as well over there? It's "Easterette" here today. Which basically means another day of overeating.
  11. I'm sorry about your Dads, KPC. Hang in there.
  12. She was, but I found out that there are a lot of lawsuits filed by owners against people who rescue their pets. Unbelievable. I hope you find the right match soon, Endeavour. You'll do fine, cko. Don't worry ;-)
  13. That could be applied more broadly. That was really brave of you, Erratic. I hope you find a place that's good for you, professionally and personally. I'm sorry you're having a tough time, KPC. Vibes for you. I saved a kitty yesterday. Yay me! I found him dragging his back legs by the side of the road. So I went home to grab a beach towel, went back to pick him up and took him to a vet, who took some x-rays and gave him a pain killer and antibiotics. Then I knocked on a few doors near the place where he was hit and found the owner. I hope he recovers soon, nothing was broken.
  14. Annie, how awesome of you and your family to adopt an older animal! Ember is a lucky cat. Sorry about the stomach bug, dusky. Those things are nasty.
  15. Could it be that the caregiver misinterpreted the instructions? Anyway, if you're not sure you should keep looking. It could take more than one try to find the right match. What is Sense8 about? The premise I mean.
  16. That is heartbreaking, Annie. I don't know if humanity will ever be able to be at peace with itself.
  17. Out of all the 6 episodes, it was the only one that felt like a gift for the fans, with all the callbacks to previous episodes. I like that everything was turned upside down: it was the monster that had turned human, while the actual "monster" was just a regular guy. The peeping Tom was spying on the guy instead of the woman. The commentary on the human condition through the eyes of the Lizard Man was also brilliant in his bleakness. Go Ennio!
  18. Here I am. I'm not sure what I witnessed there. It was so spectacularly bad. Basically 40 minutes of blah blah blah. The last two episodes felt like a backdoor pilot for a spinoff starring the new agents, like Erratic said. But the writing was so atrocious, I don't know who'd watch it. I gotta say, on the whole this mini series was more disappointing than satisfying. One decent episode out of 6 didn't make it worth it. I hope things take a turn for the better, harvester. As for The X-Files, I'd check out episode 3 (Mulder and Scully meet the were monster) and wouldn't bother with the rest.
  19. I haven't seen the last episode yet. I was not expecting much from this "revival" going in. It was nice to see Mulder and Scully together again, see them grown up in a way, but when you only have 6 episodes, it would have made more sense to have one ongoing stoyline instead of a two part opener so heavy on the mithology and then 3 standalone episodes. The only episode that I can say I liked was the Darren Morgan one, about the lizard turned human. The first two were too expositiony (to use a Buffysm) and the other 2 standalones kinda sucked.
  20. Oh for fuck's sake! Again? What is wrong with those people? harvester, you are a case study for the nature vs nurture debate. many many vibes to you and your sister.
  21. cko, I love your 60 for 60 campaign. I wish you the best in this new chapter of yours. I'll echo the "Aw!" at your husband, buffyjunkie. I hope the caregiver works out for you Endeavour. My weekend was spent looking up forniture for my new place. The institution where I work has a bunch of apartments it rents to employers for a below market price, and I got a pretty good one. Why did no one told me about Agent Carter? It's made of awesome. I flove the actress.
  22. What a great program. There should be more like that, to give every skilled kid a fair chance.
  23. I'm not involved in the story, Boliver, nor is anyone I know. However, feel free to be sorry for humanity in general, because if in 2016 we still get these kinds of rulings we have a loooooooong way to go. They did go to court. That's where the sentence came from. The boss is not even close to being the worst person in the story. I mean, he's an asshole alright, but the group of judges who ruled in his favour? They are so much worse. It's not like they didn't believe the women, as it's often the case. They believed them completely. They just think it's ok.
  24. Let me tell you a heartwarming story. Once upon a time two women reported their boss for sexual harrassment. They accused him of inapproriate behaviour, which included grabbing their ass on a regular basis. He was just absolved because the judges qualified him as "immature" (he's 65). Moreover, he was just "goofing around" and didn't get any actual sexual pleasure from his acts. Apparently all that matters is what the man gets from his actions. How those actions make the women feel is completely irrelevant. Only the man's feelings count. Were they disgusted? Revolted? Uncomfortable? Embarassed? Who cares. The end.
