  1. Maybe you'll become a superhero! That's cool, Petunia.
  2. It is. It's just a campaign that completely overlookes the underlying issues of why people have less kids and reduces women to incubators with a ticking clock. Men of course aren't mentioned anywhere and aren't featured in any of the ads. Because procreation pertains exclusively to women. Anyway, people are piiiiiiiissed. The site is being blocked and all the ads taken down.
  3. I just learnt that today is "Fertility Day", advertised by banners that read slogans like "Young Parents. The best way to be creative", "Hurry up! Don't wait for the stork!", "Beauty is ageless but fertility isn't". The hell?
  4. Vibes for Hostile's Dad's test. So sad about Gene Wilder.
  5. Fuck MS! I'm sorry it's acting out, Annie. Stupid bitca. I hope the new department works well for you, Harvester. I haven't read "Girl on the Train". The Gone Girl movie was pretty good.
  6. I'm glad to hear you had enjoyed your trip, buffyjunkie. I know squat about bocce balls. Hey Hostile. Check in more often, ok?
  7. I haven't bough it yet, but I'll probably read it too eventually. On the subject, sort of, I'm reading the second book in the Cormoran Strike series wirtten by Rowling under the Galbraith pseudonym.
  8. Demon possession is the least scary among them. Happy birthday, harvester!
  9. Last night I went to see a ballet Gala with Roberto Bolle. It's something he does every summer in Rome, a few etoiles get together and perform pieces of various ballets. My friend and I discussed what best to do in case of an attack. What a fun time to be alive.
  10. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is the first title that sprang to mind. I really like the Spanish author Javier Marias. The Daniel Pennac's Malaussene series is a light and fun read and you don't necessarily have to read the books in chronological order. The main character's profession is "the scapegoat".
  11. It's so good to see you here again, KPC! You too, Barphe. I'm glad you decided to take the trip and were pleasantly surprised.
  12. Welcome back, harvester! I had blast with you and your friend. Score for us! I'm surprised though.
  13. If was just now confirmed that the body found in the river belongs to him. How sad. It sounds like a robbery gone terribly wrong.
  14. Happy 4th of July! I heard on the radio driving to work this morning that a student of the University of Madison disappeared in Rome on Thursday. Have you heard about it, buffyjunkie?
  15. I don't know how to feel about that. Even virtual moving is stressing. I definitely do not miss the ad with the disfigured woman who haunted me for months.
  16. Like you have never sighed or rolled your eyes at your mothers :-) Great news about the caretaker, Endeavour. Best of luck with the job search. speaking of, are you looking for something Erratic?
  17. I'm glad things are going well, Barphe.
  18. It's all your fault. You and your stupid birthday. Or maybe it's the summer, more time outside and less inside wasting time on the internet.
  19. Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser (also known as "when fandoms collide") had a baby over six months ago and nobody knew about it. I can't believe they were able to pull if off. Did she not leave the house while she was pregnant? How's it going with Windows 10, val? Has it finished installing yet?
  20. You're right, they do resemble text messages. I don't think it's a look that jives with a discussion forum.
  21. Happy Mother's Day to all the MM wonderful Moms.
  22. I've been notified that val gave me a reputation. I have no idea what that means. I hope it's "badass".
