Yeah, I think this is the main factor. With KC, they saw the numbers drop fast and Oliver and Laurel (or KC and SA) together was actively turning people off. If the meter is not ticking negatively for JH and her scenes with SA, they are gonna keep going with that. Especially if they wanna give the female lead more time off than money.

I’m not familiar with McNamara’s other work but damn, is she always that bad? I don’t subscribe to the theory she’s Laurel’s daughter but the acting in those last two scenes reminded me of Cassidy. Yikes. Is this chick supposed to be the future of Arrow?

Well, that was shit. Felicity isolated for the most part. Waaaaaay to much NTA. Diggle again with the “we had each orher’s backs” like no one remembers him telling Felicity to go away. No real Olicity. No OTA. They didn’t even have a scene together. And Diggle sounded curt and annoyed at Felicity’s babbling, which passed me off more than I thought possible. Vigilantes as deputies. That’s dumb as hell. @quarks from a writer’s perspective, why are they doing this??? This is not how vigilantes are supposed to be, right? The whole premise of the show seems to have been turned upside down. Oliver even told the mayor about how the vigilantes are needed because SCPD is not enough. But now they’re part of SCPD?

Isn’t Shimooka a regular? Don’t think she’s done. She can easily fly back to Vancouver (not that I want her to).

ITA, @apinknightmare. Instead, the technique they seem to be using for Evil Laurel is to lampshade everything. Acknowledge some of it once and then ignore it and cross your fingers the audience will forget. Which seems to work, especially for her stans.

Oh that’s right! I keep forgetting because my subconscious believes after all these seasons that an actual Smoak Tech storyline is not gonna happen 😂

If Maya is Olicity’s kid I think it could be fun if maybe her reveal could have something to do with the DNA tech Felicity is working on in present day. If maybe there’s something that needs to be unlocked and only the child of both Oliver and Felicity could open it. Or maybe that whole DNA bit in last night’s episode is just to setup the Emiko DNA reveal.

Admittedly I fast-forwarded through a bunch of stuff so I might have missed the part where Oliver and Felicity worked on their marriage per the summary?

So pretty much in the range of ratings for this season. See, this is why IMO Arrow keeps pressing on with NTA and packing the show to the gills, because people still watch. The only time it lost a signifant audience was back in 416 and even then they kept Olicity apart for 2 seasons so clearly ratings don’t matter.

One of the biggest reasons I think Maya is the Olicity tot is that’s the fastest way to get the audience to root for a new character, especially if they’re thinking of handing the reins over sometime in the future. To be honest, not a lot of people are gonna care that much unless she’s Olicity’s daughter. She can’t be Theroy’s or Laurel’s or a rando. That’s the simplest explanation, IMO. Of course, I could be wrong but it would mean Arrow chose to be stupid again.

Yeah, I complain a lot about NTA and the FF crew but I get why they exist, sort of. Aging shows do this kind of cast expansion all the time to give the main actors a break (and if you’re the CW and can’t or won’t pay your actors what they ask, maybe you offer time off instead). However, I’m bitter because of the mess they’ve made of NTA. I just want them all to die gruesome deaths at this point. They’ve made it really difficult for me to watch the show to the point I’ve started skipping episodes and just watching the Olicity clips. There’s no OTA at all so Digg gets skipped, too. And now there’s an FF crew who, while they’re not quite as annoying, are just a waste of time as well, IMO.

I’m cleaning out my DVR so I’ve been rewatching some of the episodes before I delete them. I just saw that scene again where Tuna tells Felicity to go back to witness protection. In and of itself it was bad because, hello, she almost got killed in witness protection. But JH being the horrible actress she is made it sound so dismissive, like Felicity was a fly she couldn’t wait to flick off. Or maybe that wasn’t bad acting, I guess it makes sense for Tuna being impatient because BS and Felicity were asking for help. Anyway, I just felt so bad for Felicity having “friends” like that. I know Arrow is just gonna ignore that because these writers prefer forced instead of organic storylines and reasoning. Oliver made his grand speech so I’m gonna guess everything will be hunky-dory, until they need to emphasize Felicity is evil 🙄

THIS! That anyone can watch that arc and not see that this is the simple choice Oliver faced and that Oliver made the wrong one is baffling to me. I hate the baby mama drama because of how much of an idiot Oliver was made to sell the conflict. But that’s Arrow for you. Felicity is a saint for taking his idiot ass back. I would have been Angela Bassett in “Waiting to Exhale.”

There do seem to be a lot of complaints about the bleaknessof the flash forwards and the misery porn but I wonder if Beth and the writers are gonna pay attention. I mean, Arrow seems to be doing OK ratings wise, coming in second tied with Riverdale on a new night. There may be complaints but viewers don’t seem to be going away.

Cute, but a long read Arrow: 4 Times Oliver Wanted to Marry Felicity and the 1 Time She Proposed The one from the Crisis crossover episode might be my favorite now because it involved actual conversations, although the first one will always be special.

It provided a nice closure for fans, IMO. Quite a bit of fan service but since this wouldn’t have existed without the fans, it made perfect sense and it was done quite well.

Or the magazine covers have more to do with Shadowhunters? The show actually got her a People’s Choice award, didn’t it?

I was thinking this was a possibility, maybe after the reveal of what really happened with Oliver and Felicity? At least I hope so, because the FF cast right now is not really doing anything for me. And with Tuna in the mix, ugh.

So what trended last night? I thought I saw Felicity, Oliver and Barry but I can’t be too sure. Did Batwoman trend?

I actually teared up at this. I may have wanted to smack Oliver earlier but damn if SA didn’t sell it.
