  1. I'm a little worried about how much change the EPs are planning for season 3. I love Team Arrow and I love Olicity and I really hated the first part of the back half of this season when Felicity and Digg faded in the background. so I hope they don't do that again next season. That said, I love how they've been writing Felicity lately. She's still making the funny quips but it's balanced with a lot of heart. And she gets to be a badass without literally kicking ass! I love that she gets to be ActionFelicity! without being OOC. So these writers can actually write a great female character, wow!
  2. Yeah, I think "Deathstroke" was the first episode I felt the show was not treading water. We got a fuller picture of Slade's plans. Plus, in keeping with the thread topic, there was that great scene where Felicity got to to cut through Oliver's dithering and send him to get Thea. 8 episodes? Because of the Olympic hiatus and mini-breaks, the wait seemed longer to me than that.
  3. HAHAHA! I had the same reaction. The summary had Diggle and Felicity going to "extreme measures" to stop Oliver from surrendering to Slade. I thought that was covered when they approached Waller but when Laurel showed up in the lair, my first thought was "OMG! They really meant extreme measures!" Then, of course, it was revealed she actually reached out to them.
  4. quarks, I like your version of the lair scene with Laurel. Her usefullness with the info about Blood was immediately highlighted and you gave her and Oliver a chance for a private moment that was more organic. I really wasn't sure what the writers/EPs were trying to do with that scene. It's her introduction to Team Arrow, so it's a very important scene. And yet it felt like that scene was emphasizing how out of place Laurel was instead of showing how she could be part of the team. The horrible dialogue has already been mentioned up top. I found the blocking strange as well. She literally displaces Felicity from Oliver's side (well, Felicity moves after Laurel walks up close to Oliver) and stands between Oliver and his team. That's not something an actor just does, that's direction. They must have noticed the visual that presented to viewers.
  5. Yeah, me, too. And I'm totally wondering what her relationship with her mother is really like. She didn't seem embarrassed or angry or concerned when she was talking to Oliver in "Heir to the Demon" (or as I call it, the inexplicable lunge episode). If anything, Felicity sounded more exasperated. I'm still curious about the dad, just because the EPs said it was too big to include this season and is going to be explored in season three (which I might not watch, depending on what the show does with these last two episodes).
  6. Oh, I thought he was already done with Blue Bloods. IMDB lists him only up to 2013 (and I think that meant 2012-2013 season), with 14 episodes. Anyone else wondered what Diggle's reaction was when Laurel reached out to him and Felicity? He didn't look very happy when she was in the Arrowcave with them. Not that I think he had a problem with Laurel personally. I think it was the decisions Oliver made when she was part of the equation that bugged Dig (like when O left D hanging in that ep with Deadshot?).
  7. I love David Ramsey, but he's been criminally underused. Diggle-centric episodes are great but they're not enough. I really do hope Diggle gets more to do in these final episodes. He's the former soldier, maybe he can be in charge of the battle strategy (ala Captain America in "Avengers") when Team Arrow and its allies gets ready to face off against Slade's army. And I really do hope the show starts exploring the HIVE connection next season.
  8. I think Oliver thought he had a little bit more time to talk to Thea. Not much, but it wasn't as pressing as getting to Slade while he was supposedly at a weakened state (of course, Oliver later found out Slade wasn't the blood donor). Similar situation in 2x09 ("Three Ghosts") when he left to confront Cyrus Gold. I can't remember his line but it was basically "I've no choice, I gotta do this."
