For awhile in the ‘70s you could find official DVF wrap-dress sewing patterns and her fabric as well. I had two of her dresses that I purchased and one that I made. I have bitterly regretted, for years, that I didn’t hang on to any of them.
Hester has been growing on me as a person, although I am about three times too old to consider indulging in her clothing. I was not impressed with most of her work during the competition so was pleasantly surprised that I got a kick out of her collection. But I definitely felt Sebastian’s was the winner. Hester certainly brings a sense of fun, which I enjoy, but Sebastian’s made me ooh and ahh.
Garo’s stuff is fine but often seems a little stodgy. I guess I don’t love his fabric choices. But I’m glad he’s already established. All three of these designers have tons of talent and they will all do well, I’m sure.
I thoroughly enjoyed the reboot and I loved the overall absense of manufactured drama, feuds, etc. I loved the camaraderie among the final three.
I have noticed a lot of comments on Hester’s posture. I suspect she has a touch a scoliosis. God help me, I almost wrote that I have a HUNCH she does, but luckily I caught myself. 😂. If I’m right, she has my sympathy; I have it too and it’s not fun.
