I think the setup and first episode was a little slow and clunky. I hope it gets better over time. Definitely will watch more of it.

Off topic- My daughter and I were lucky to meet Daveed in NYC while in line for Hamilton tickets. He was very nice and soft spoken. He wished us luck in getting in to the play- which we did- Front row seats! When he as singing as Thomas Jefferson, he looked right at us, winked, and blew us a kiss. My daughter was over the moon. 4 Years later and she says it was the best BD present ever.

Hubby and I have been talking about downsizing in a few years.... His idea is to go from our current 3600 s.f. house to one that is 1500 or less. 😞 My idea is to get to a 2000 s.f. house. He forgets that we have tons of books- hardback, paperback and comics. I have a few years to work on him. 😉

I agree with everyone. Donovan needs to move on to a better partner. I can't watch this dreck anymore, I've deleted this series from my dvr.

I hate the double standard of the `game changer` DIY commercials. Why does the man end up with the electric paint sprayer and the woman with the extension for the paint roller? WTF? I have rolled paint before, give me the electric version any day.

I just watched the knife of death. Was NOT impressed. I'll give it two more chances and then I'm done. I don't know if it was the 'judges' or what.... it was very boring and stupid.

I thought it ironic that Mr. Firefighter stated he wanted an historic home but then went on to state he wanted an open concept kitchen living area. Those two things are an oxymoron. I liked the yellow in the kitchen better, just thought it could have been brought down in color a little.

@mojoween and @Popples IN 2016 my D and I went to NYC and waited in the cancellation line for Hamilton tickets. While we were there, Daveed Diggs was walking past. He was super nice and he let me take a picture of him with my D (it was her birthday). We were lucky enough to get tickets to the show and were sitting in the front row. One of the songs he sang as Jefferson required him to blow a kiss- which he did- right at us- he even winked. My D was over the moon. After the show, we did the stage door and D got her Hamiltome book signed by Daveed, Lyn, Chris Jackson, and others. We have tickets to go see Hamilton again in DC this July. Can't wait.

I don't know. My dad proposed to my mom on their first date- 1 Aug. It took him another 30 days to get her to the altar. They were married on 31 Aug and were married for 32 years before he died from rectal cancer. Mom never remarried. So I can see it happening. Dad used to tell us stories about how it took him and my mom's mom to talk her into the wedding. Apparently g-ma loved my dad. They used to sit at the table drink, play cards and pinochle. So you can never tell what happens. When it's right, it's right. Time doesn't matter.

I watched the first two episodes and the last one. I think I got it all..... Glad I did not waste any more time on it than that.

I wish they would revisit some of these houses to show us what the homeowners changed after they've lived in it for a while. That black and white tile would have been the first thing to go. ugly.

I have the feeling that overly protective (OP) rape mom was once a victim of rape herself which is why she had a chokehold on her daughter. I mean, why tell your kid the reason why you're being OP is that you've been there, done that which leads to D being raped....? I guess that is a way to have a story line?

I thought the shower tile made it look like a jail cell. Too much color for such a small space. And DARK. yuck.

OK. I love purple but I would NEVER buy that house. That is one fugly looking setup.

I love Ben's truck. My dad had one exactly like that when I was a teenager (except his was green). I also loved the butcher block counter he created from scraps! It was beautiful. I'd hate to have to do the maintenance on it, but even so, it definitely showed his craftsman skills. I like the lack of self-inflicted drama.

I thought I would give this show a chance but her constant "I saved thiisssss muuuuccchhh" just brings it down. Plus the tone of her voice drives me nuts. This last house with all the fake fur stuff was ridiculous. Honey, if you want something that looks high end, stop watching the old western movies. High end =/ brothel look. I will be deleting this series from my DVR. On another note, has anyone seen the House to Home show with Jasmine Roth? It's on HGTV too. I'm going to give that one a shot. At least Jasmine doesn't have any weird vocal tics.

I just watched the episode that had the chefs from diners. One was the Pop Shop chef. I had hoped she would make it to the end but she got cut in the second round. For anyone that may be in the Collingswood, NJ area, I would recommend stopping in to eat at the Pop Shop. It reminds me of a 50's style diner- checkered tile floor, music, a bar area to eat, etc. I have visited the Pop Shop, it has great food and ice cream. They really do have over 30 types of grilled cheese sandwiches. I watched the latest episode of the mid-century 1955 ranch style house. I thought the yellow paint on the outside was a nicer color than the grey, green? color they used. Why do they always want to paint the outside of a house an ugly gray color? The 'atrium' looked a lot better than I thought it would too.

my brother is on a limited income and rents HALF a room for $400 per month in Glendora CA. The house was a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath and about 1400 sf. The owner lives there and rents out space- there are 8 people living in this tiny place. She even divided up the 2 car garage. The people that live there are not the cleanest- my brother included. ugh.

I'm not particularly religious, always thought the idea that we are born with sin kind of weird. How can a person who is innocent be born a sinner? So I totally understand the feelings that Lily had when listening to the Pastor. To me, he was saying things that were abhorrent. Here is this innocent child and if he isn't baptized then he will go to hell.... I think that Lily and Toby will continue to have a tumultuous relationship and one day end up divorced just because their differences are enough to keep them apart instead of bringing them together.
