Also, traditionally, if you can’t agree, you have to go in which would have meant Ben since it was a guys elimination.

The original is much more compelling.  Episodes are longer so you get more time to get t9 know the players and to learn more about the relationships.  Also, with the main show, it is up to season 38 and some of the players have appeared in double digits of seasons, so they have a history both romantic and grudge based….sometimes both.

And this would turn me right the f off.  Leave your romantic and grudge relationships at the door please.

  2. @SilverStormm  I apologize, you should have been brought into this discussion long ago.  Now that The Rookie: Feds has been picked up by the network, is in final production, and has a premiere date, can it no longer be a subforum and instead be treated as all other spinoff shows are and given its own bona fide top forum status?

I'm sure those of us who do not intend to watch or follow The Rookie: Feds we would appreciate if you could please convert from a subforum of The Rookie.  This action would be consistent with the status of all other spinoff shows take for example all the various shows in the NCIS franchise as an example.

    Thanks.

  3. And yet, as explained to you above (and that you also admitted) you voluntarily elected to follow the subforum The Rookie: Feds and as a result have the ability to unfollow it.  Did you perhaps follow best practice troubleshooting practices and try to recreate our complaint?   You were halfway there but apparently didn't take it all the way.  Once you unfollowed the subforum The Rookie: Feds, go to the forum for The Rookie, you'll see the subforum, click into it, now take a look at that little bookmark looking thing that allows you to follow and usually unfollow a forum.  I'll lay money you no longer have an option to unfollow it.

Once again, it is not a bug, it is a subforum.  No bug report is needed and would be a superfluous and wasted effort.

  4. lol, that is exactly the point.  We are NOT able to unfollow it for the very fact that it is a subforum.

ETA:  But we would all very much like to unfollow it.   Hence the initial request to make it it's own forum so that we don't have to get the new post indicators

  5. It is not a bug.  It is a subforum.  Your screenshots prove nothing other than you were following a subforum and then you were not.  Noone is saying you cannot purposely follow a subforum, what we are saying is that because it is a subforum of The Rookie.  Those of us that follow The Rookie are by default following The Rookie: Feds as least as far as new post indicators are concerned.

Perhaps you missed where I pointed you to your very own screenshot that definitely shows the path for The Rookie:Feds which unquestionably indicates it is a child (aka subforum) of The Rookie.

Perhaps you also missed b4pjoe's 1st screenshot that also shows with a doubt that it is a subforum.  It is even circled for you

  6. It is most definitely still a sub forum.  No matter how many different ways we are given to 'unfollow' it, the fact remains it is a sub forum and there is no way to unfollow the forum.

In fact take a look at your 1st screen shot, right above where you wrote "click", it shows the path which makes it quite obvious that "Feds" is a child of "The Rookie"

In your case you probably did what the rest of us didn't and specifically chose to Follow the forum thereby giving you an option to Unfollow it (although I'll point out that even if you unfollow it you will by default still be following it because it is a sub forum.)

  7. Honestly, I don't for one second believe Nick is the actual dominant in that family, they are just playing it that way for the show so that they fit into the premise.   The dynamics of their interactions indicate to me that April is the one who is actually in charge.  Watch closely at their body language and non verbal cues and I think you'll see what I'm talking about, it is subtle but undeniable if you know what to look for.

Sorry I haven't read this whole thread before replying but I can't do the live chat and I feel like that's what most of it is so I'm taking the lazy way out!  I just watched this tonight and to be honest I'm losing interest in a lot of these fakers.

    <snip>

Don't worry, live chat doesn't appeal to me at all so I just skip the first 1 1/2 - 2 pages of clutter to get to the episode posts for some of the more considered thoughts.

Yep. Because we had recently seen Isaac appear in human form.

Isaac was only able to appear human in their version of a holodeck.  He wasn't wondering about the ship looking like a human.  So unless the facility the device was in was outfitted in what amounts to holoemitters as far as we know, kaylons can't look like humans

I recall that he said he had to "eat animals" or "small animals" as if he were revolted, horrified, and maybe even embarrassed. So I assume that by the time of The Orville, the killing and eating of animal flesh has long been considered a disgusting action of the ancestors although some may feel it was understandable prior to the 20th century.

Prior to 1900?  So for the last 122 years what we have been doing is not understandable?

  10. lol, but I do actually watch this one and I don't read the boards for BDM so not really hate reading unless I'm misinterpreting what you're saying.

It's funny you mention sister wives because I used to hate read there but... well, I just don't venture onto those boards but once in a blue moon.  I do sometimes watch the show though but read the forum nah I'll pass.

  11. That was hilarious but could have ended SO badly.  Ever since they brought that out I've been wondering what they would do if someone didn't let go while over the water or, as in this case, not at all.  Now I know, they stand there dumbfounded and mutter 'uh, uh, ok uh, let go now, now, now, oop alright well here you are again we better catch him'.   I wonder if we will see it again or if it will be "put away" in favor of reduced liability.

Regarding the privilege issue, I assume (as I am not a lawyer) that privilege extends to your entire legal team - which Bull was part of, even if not an attorney.

Regarding finances going forward, I'm sure he has a large chunk of that settlement money, Marissa was buying TAC from him and not for nothing, I believe Izzy has money of her own and is currently running a business.  I do agree that Bull will be bored just sitting around but he is in the enviable position of being able to afford to do whatever he wants without worrying about paying the bills.  I'm sure he'll find something to occupy his time.

So I got curious about this and consulted Attorney Google.  Attorney-client privilege extends to attorneys only (and translators in some circumstances).  The only exception I saw was if someone was speaking to a person that they reasonably believed was their attorney (in other words, so that police couldn't pretend to be a lawyer and then nail the person for 'confessing' to them).  In the case of this show, it did look like the perp reasonably thought Bull was his lawyer.  However, if he had done the same confession to Danny, it would not have held.

Attorney-client privilege extends to all who work with and for the attorney (Paralegals are specifically cited in these references, which of course Bull is not, but they both also mention all others working for the firm)...

Does Attorney-Client Privilege Extend to Paralegals?

Attorney-client privilege does extend to paralegals and to all employees, agents and contractors associated with the law firm, as long as that individual is working as an agent of an attorney qualified to give legal advice.

Paralegals are Required to Uphold Client Privilege

While paralegals are barred from being a participant of the attorney-client privilege, they must behave in a manner that upholds and protects the rights held between an attorney and a client. Paralegals are legally and ethically required to do so.

In the American Bar Association’s Model Rules for Professional Conduct, Model Rule 5.3, which applies to non-lawyer assistants, verifies that anyone working under the direction of a lawyer must make assurances that their, “conduct is compatible with the professional obligations of the lawyer.”

My ears went up when jeff said that there is a “penalty” if you dont do exactly as beware option says, yet mike ignored the directions for 2 councils. The other ridiculousness was dre showing all her amulets and idols . Doesnt anyone in production see how ridiculous and confusing this is getting ???

And yes.  I'm still fully in the "Mike violated the instructions and therefore his idol is void" camp.  Even more so now that with each passing episode, my irritation with and dislike for him grows and grows.

My guess is when Mike attempts to use his idol he will be told something along the lines of 'this is a valid idol that was 1/3 of the 3-Way Idol but you failed to follow the instructions therefore, I regret to inform you this idol is not activated"   <--  And that my friends is the penalty that will be imposed for not saying his phrase at the "next challenge" as instructed.   And oh what a sweet sweet backfire that will be.  Much like revenge; best served cold.

  14. Am I the only one that specifically remembers Janelle & Christine walking together, going for coffee together, even some traveling together for the last 5 or so years?   I remember people here ragging on them when they posted about walking around flagstaff and folks here were bellowing they needed to do a lot more than walk and they may have walked but were probably huffing and puffing the whole time and it was likely only a 10 minute walk that they were crowing about?

eta:  I also remember a whole lot of snark about how there was no way Janelle was walking because she probably wasn't able to find her walking shoes in the myriad of boxes she hadn't unpacked yet.

  15. 100% w/ TurtlePower here, I don't care if you don't like the Browns, think she's a grouch, would run the other way rather solicit information, think her friend and kids should move, etc ALL of that is beside the point and irrelevant to Meri's post and plea.  If it is happening, it is absolutely abhorrent and she has every right to admonish and call out each and every one of the a-holes doing it.

It seems that I have vasculitis, an auto-immune disorder. I'll know more about it next week after I see the doctor and we discuss results of bloodwork. There are different kinds. I am praying this isn't true but my internist and gastroenterologist, both of whom I saw in the past 2 days, read my rash biopsy report and some other bloodwork results, plus a review of my various symptoms, and concurred.

I've been very lucky to be healthy my whole life, never spent a night in a hospital before last week except for a couple nights when I was 11. This is going to be a radical change in the way I see myself. I hobbled to the drugstore today on my very swollen feet, to pick up some high-potency steroid cream for the rash (finally was prescribed something other than oatmeal baths and calamine lotion - after calling the on-call dermatologist in the middle of the night on Thursday when my mildly swollen feet (and calves) blew up and I panicked).

I've never taken my health for granted; I always felt that it was something very precious, particularly once I got past 50.  Just over 2 weeks ago, I was walking at least 2 miles a day as many days as I could (given the staffing crunch at work that limited my free time). There is a treatment for this and it could go into remission, but this is a very sobering experience. I'm okay right now after doing a couple of nebulizer treatments today and last night, and taking medicines for GERD, but I had a very rough time this morning with severe stomach pains on top of the breathing issues.

There is a remote possibility that this was caused by covid that did not show up on tests (covid is a vascular disease, after all). My allergies were always my biggest fear about covid - when I read about "cytokine storms" that the virus can cause, it sounded like that would affect someone with allergies in particular and I could see that happening to me. Where the body, in attacking the viral intruder, ends up attacking itself. One of the reasons I was so careful to isolate, not see people indoors, etc.

My co-workers really stepped up while I was out. I only worked a few hours yesterday, my first day back. I had felt better by Wed. (except for the rash) and told my manager I wanted to return on Friday. After the bad night on Thursday, I called my internist yesterday morning and by a miracle was able to see him in the afternoon so I left work early. My manager has been great, telling me to take as much time as I need and "the team" will cover me. But I'm running out of sick days and it would soon become leave without pay. I managed to do a little work today.

Guess this puts things in perspective and I shouldn't ever complain about my co-workers again (no guarantees that I won't though LOL). They are still interviewing people so we are still as short handed as we were all during March.

To be fair, it is just as possible that it was caused by the vaccine as well.  Both are rare but vasculitis has occurred with approximately the same frequency in post covid patients as in post vaccine patients.  Vasculitis doesn't present in precisely the same manner post infection vs post vaccination but the delay to onset is similar.

All she had to do was offer up her husband that she divorced twice as explanation for ALWAYS doing a background check.  She also has no reason to be mad at Taylor.  She asked for the background check, Taylor had already uncovered the marriage before  she asked her to stop.  Did she seriously expect her FRIEND to not warn her? Truthfully, Marissa was mad because she’d gotten fooled again.
I didn’t believe that doctor when she said she would never had risked her hand trembling in the OR.  She was covering it up even when Bull saw her.  Also it had to have happened at least once at the hospital because the nurse was aware that she had the issue.  Otherwise she wouldn’t have been able to use it to cover up her own guilt.
    Stop operating, go teach.

She said it happened at a colleague's wedding but she didn't think anyone had seen it but realized she was obviously mistaken.

As to Marissa, while I don't have a problem with people doing a background check on potential long term partners, and I think Henri was overly butt-hurt about it, I really really really hope he never forgives her.  I can't stand her character and it would serve miss 'high-and-mighty-never-been-wrong-air-of-superiority' justice.  And I am all in for that comeuppance.

  18. Like you, I have my grandmother's old metal measuring cup, her metal sifter, and her very well used The Modern Family Cookbook complete with hand written notes in the margins.  The measuring cup has a small dent in the side, the handle of the sifter is slightly askew, and cookbook's binding is worn and it's contents would surely send many folks to the nearest book burning for it's very traditional advice but these are among my most valued treasures.    When these momentos were given to me by my aunt she was almost sheepish and apologetic implying that they were all that was left after all my younger cousins had selected their remembrances but to me they hold the essence of my grandmother like nothing else could have.
