  1. I wish Spencer threw in Nik's face that he knew exactly how it felt to feel helpless because Valentin threatened him constantly and even attempted to murder him before Drew and Sonny stopped it. Laura made the decision to send him off to France to keep him safe from that. But I guess that would ruin the whitewashing rewrites of Valentin and Ava as victims GH is tryin to do. It's not just about the inheritance.
  2. No, Valentin actually tried to kill Spencer. Valentin would've succeeded had Sonny and Drew/Jason not stopped him. It's why Laura decided Spencer would be better off at boarding school because before trying to murder him, Valentin was going around torturing and taunting the kid all the time. Valentin tried to murder Laura too but Kevin stopped him and got shot.
  3. Valentin did torment the kid and try to murder Spencer. He would of killed him had Drew and Sonny not saved him. It's why he got sent away to boarding school. I think Spencer sees his dad choosing the woman befriended him then threw him to the wolves and was indifferent to him being killed over him. And he still sees Ava as a threat to his Inheritance as long as she's married to Nik. She did blackmail into the marriage.
  4. It's funny how a conversation about the police and racism gets people triggered, but when it comes to stuff like: Laura falling in love with her rapist, and murderers as the heroes of the show that skate etc. Those things are are somehow more permissible. Although I will say the whole thing did feel hollow and contrived because it won't get AA characters any more story. They will still be regulated to the sidelines like they have been. And the police will still be incompetent in favor of the good mobsters like Jason and Carly. The Carly and Sam conversation was annoying. Mostly because I feel like they are skating around the real issue, which was Jason was actively ignoring Sam. He was pushing her out of things for months, and not answering her calls. This includes not letting her know right away what happened to Danny after the explosion. The danger thing was just brought in to make Sam look like a hypocrite so Jason could skate and move on and be the good guy. As for Willow, she simultaneously told Michael that she was trying to make it work with Chase, while also saying that she knew since they first slept together back in November that he was the one she wanted. Which is it? Both cannot be true and undercut each other. She should of told the truth back then. It wasn't until Sasha walked in on them that she and Michael broke things off. Michael probably should've realized it was not a good idea to be playing games with a recovering drug addict earlier, but whatever.
  5. I don't buy Marcus Coloma as a prince. He is not imposing or charismatic enough and lacks couth. He has zero emotional depth as an actor. I didn't buy his concern when he was asking about Lulu in the hospital from Laura because of the acting. He acted like he was waiting for the director to say cut. He's more like a boyband reject. He comes across as more of Diego or Johnny than Nikolas. Of course, part of that is the writing. Nikolas is suddenly an impulsive hothead (like a thug), rather than a Cassadine who is suppose to approach things more strategically and methodically. A Cassadine would see that kind of impulsive behavior as a sign of weakness, and being "beneath" them. Say what you want about Guza, but he at least knew to write the Cassadines and mobsters as distinct from each other.
  6. Nikolas already threatened Cyrus with finding the mother and maybe keeping her to himself. The exact same thing he berated Laura for helping Jason and Carly get away with.
  7. Zander definitely knew about Cam. Ric bargained with him to sign over his rights to the child to him. I think Zander even signed the papers. Cam was acting like he would've had a father figure if he had lived, but it didn't play that way back then, I think Liz wanted Zander out of the picture. Also, Liz didn't get pregnant when Emily was out of town. That was the FIRST time Zander and Liz hooked up, but the second Emily was definitely in town. Cam's conception happened because Zander saw Emily having sex with Nikolas in his home, and then ran into Liz who was on the outs with Ric.
  8. Joss and Trina are confused and uncertain too, I agree. However, they don't know the full situation. They aren't the ones also kissing other guys without Cam knowing. If Cam is telling some third party he's torn while moving on with the girls, that isn't right. Joss and Trina aren't the ones being two faced (or three faced). Joss only found out about the Trina kiss because Trina told her now that I think about it. And Cam's line about thinking about moving forward sounds like he will just continue to stall and not deal with it. I hope I am wrong, but I am not liking Cam much anymore. There are seeds being planted he could end up like Ethan on Passions or Liam on B&B.
  9. I disagree about the definition of stringing along. I think there can be feelings for both, but ultimately it's still stringing someone along because either it's both girls are in a state of limbo where no one is happy, or one is chosen and the other is rejected. I get Cam is a self involved teen who prefers not to want either girl to hate him, so he doesn't want to make a decision right now but hey, in the end that's what happens when you don't make a decision over the long run. I don't think Cam has been honest/upfront about being confused to the girls themselves. He's kind of been pursuing both. I wouldn't have been surprised if Trina had been the one he kissed if she just happened to be there first instead of Joss. He keeps flaking on his feelings. Granted so do the girls, as does Dev. They are teens. Dev is totally manipulating him though out of pettiness, I agree there. Dev was smart though, he played on Cam's need to be a people pleaser and laid in on the guilt about ruining a friendship. He knew how to get to him to get his way.
  10. I thought Dev was spot on about Cameron, even if he was only saying it because he was jealous and wanted Joss's attention for himself. Cameron claims he doesn't want to ruin their friendship or string people along, but that's exactly what he's doing.
  11. I was actually thinking Dev as more of a Zander, especially when him and Joss was contemplating getting passports to Canada. It reminded me of Zem. Minus, you know the writing and acting talent. Trina to me originally was more Gia-like, with the straight to the point attitude.
  12. If Kim is Jackie Templeton, I wonder if they will connect Michael E. Knight's character Martin to David Grey?
  13. Yeah, its dumb how they just drop things and refuse to acknowledge them. I wish they would acknowledge what that was all about, and how they got the money back as well as why Nik and Hayden aren't technically still married.
  14. Thanks. So is Valentin the one that earned the money back for Cassadine Industries, and that's what Nik and Ava are fighting over?
  15. Didn't Nik blow all the Cassadine money before his death? Isn't that why he was after ELQ and Hayden's diamonds, or are we just suppose to forget that?
  16. I don't think Max Gail is a good actor. He can play the "dope" in a sitcom, but anytime he tries to play drama, it comes across farcical to me. The scene where he set Charlie's on fire was particularly bad. Like others have pointed out, Mike hasn't had a relationship with Sonny or any of these people. Sonny only reached out because he was contacted when Mike got sick. Sonny hated those ponies because it reminded him of Mike's gambling addiction that caused him to leave him. Thus, all the scenes with everyone over Mike's bedside and the flashforwards come across as very fake and cloying.
  17. When GH wants Nik's Stavros/Stefan side to come out is when Liz is thrown in. That's why this story makes no sense, and has no weight, without Lucky. Nik wants to take the Spencer man's true love like Stavros and Stefan did. They wrote it that way in the CS days, when Helena wanted Nik to have Liz so it would drive a wedge between him and the Spencers, and again in 2010 Helena compared Nik to Stavros. In fact, the story Guza was going to do was have Liz carted off at the end (and off the show) in a similar manner to Laura when he fired Becky. Guza never wanted to do the Nik/Liz story, it was something TC pushed for and Jill made happen. Guza said no for the longest time but then agreed to do it when Rebecca wasn't working. Guza said he wanted to do a triangle with Nik and Lucky and said he didn't care who the girl in the middle was. TC was fine with it when GV was there but when JJ showed up suddenly it was the worse thing to ever happen to Nikolas according to TC. Apparently he was fine with it as long as he was still the pet. It sure didn't matter when Zander and Jax went under the bus to justify him stealing the girl because he was a pet. Actually, I think the original story Guza was going to do was Nikolas obsessing over Rebecca being Emily and then Lucky/Emily falling for each other, which would have been a better story for Nikolas, but the Niz affair was more about Lucky (although that was because JJ came back. I have no doubt Lucky would've made to look bad like Zander and Jax to justify Nik stealing the woman had GV stayed). Nik using Rebecca to replace Emily instead of Liz made more sense.
  18. The brainwashing thing had been hinted with Lucky going back to the JJ days though when Stefan gave Lucky that video game. The story just got squashed because Guza left for Sunset Beach then he brought it back with JY. Lucky was specifically "dirtied" up because he was in the way of Jason's new pairing, which was Liz, which never even ended up happening really, but damage was done and Jason skated as usual.
  19. Actually, back in 1996, there were rumors that originally Victor Collins was suppose to turn out to be Victor Cassadine. I remember reading that was why Alexis was interested in his case when she first came on, but the storyline got dropped when Guza left for Sunset Beach and instead we got Victor Collins created by Richard Culliton who then went to PC with Kevin.
  20. I never liked Elizabeth because she is a two faced flake who pretended to care about people's emotions, yet always seemed to be stringing at least two guys at a time. I hated NL's Emily for the same reason, actually. I also find Rebecca Herbst's acting to be flat and lacking of subtext. When Sarah Brown played those bitchy scenes, there was a subtext of soulfulness, that it was coming from a place of hurt. I don't get that with Becky. It's either one note smirk bitchy or one note baby talk. Another one who is overrated is Tyler Christopher. Firstly, for a soap the guy could not play romance to save his life. It always came across as sleazy, instead of tender and romantic. And he was someone you could tell was bored or hated his storyline. Like when Mary held him, he acted like a bored actor who was irritated he had to pretend to believe her lies rather that what the actual story was. For a prince, he never had a lot of charm, and never seemed to smile either. And it didn't help Guza kept doing the same story over again with Nik: the serial wife poacher -- Emily from Zander, Courtney from Jax, Liz from Lucky. Don't even get me started on hitman Nik that came out of nowhere under RC.
  21. I don't think Carly was right to lock her on the roof, but I also wasn't a fan of the way Laura handled the Deception company. She decided Elizabeth was going to be the face from the onset, and only pretended to give Gia a chance to keep Carly feeling like she had a say in the company to make Sonny happy. I didn't think that was fair to Gia. Although really the whole thing could've been avoided if Liz was just honest and said she didn't want the job to begin with. Although Sonny was moronic to think the Laura and Carly partnership would work in the first place.
  22. I have seen some speculation Trina could be Nikolas and Gia's daughter.
  23. I read originally Reese didn't know who she wanted to play, and that she originally thought she thought Jane or Renata. It was Nicole and DEK who looked at her and said of course you're Madeline. I remember an interview with Reese where she said she came up with the affair idea because she wanted a secret too and didn't think there was much to Madeline in the book or than being a busybody. Seems to me Reese basically really wanted to play Jane and tried to incorporate those ideas -- having a secret, having the love interest (Tom got sidelined in favor of the extra affair with Joseph and Madeline) to Madeline instead. Originally it was Renatas husband who had an affair when caused the break out fight at Trivia Night but in the show it was Madelines affair. The problem for me was I felt that Madeline's main trajectory in the book was to counterpoint Celeste and Jane. They were abuse victims. Madeline, on the other hand, between pushing her daughter away and the way she treated Renata etc there was more of an emphasis on Madeline herself turning into a bully, but then trying to overcome that in the end. To me expanding on this angle would've made more sense in context of the overall story and show. The affair didn't add anything.
