My point of no return will be when I can't find a single story or character that I enjoy watching. So far, I haven't reached that point...yet.

Disclaimer...I'm a shipper of good writing/stories...not any particular couple or character. Thus, Betteboo, I am not a Robin or Scrubs fan fave. What I had wanted to see was a decent storyline for Robin, Patrick and her family, and what I ended up watching was the Mary Sue Sabrina Magical Wedding Gown and Pee Stick Tour instead. By the time the writers got around to actually writing for Scrubs, KMc's time was just about over. According to Kim she offered to stay around longer, but her offer was rejected. And according to RC's interviews, the writers apparently all agreed that having Robin leave to defrost Jason was the best they could come up with for Robin's exit story. It is what it is. Afterwards, Patrick mopes and cries for several days and now he too has more or less disappeared. If the writers were interested in writing for Patrick as a stand alone character he would be on air now with or without Robin, because Patrick is about to become a father again...unless Sabrina's baby is Carlos' child after all. From all apparent appearances, once Robin left and other stories took front and center, any interest in writing for either Sabrina or Patrick and their baby story waned and chances are it won't be revisited again until shortly before Robin is due to return once more. Again, JMO but Robin was the angst for Sabrina and Patrick, and without Robin neither character seems to have much of a storyline.

For whatever reason, GH insists on putting together meaningless couples for no good reason that I can discern, as well as having messy denouements at every single function that have more than two people in attendance. Once a crowd gathers..be it wedding, funeral, picnic...I can rest assured that the secret skeletons will come flying out of the woodwork...just like the proverbial bats out of hell, wrecking havoc on the unsuspecting in the hopes that the characters will have something to talk about afterwards for weeks on end. As for chemistry, I have to like the character first as a stand alone character before I can see them partnered with anyone. Cranco is a disaster for me on two counts. One, Carly has lost her mind choosing her son's rape antagonist as her lover, and two, Franco is too absurd to be a romantic lead as far as I'm concerned, thus rendering Cranco a complete and utter failure for me.

For me the problem isn't that KMc isn't on GH full time, it's how Robin was utilized during Kim's last return. There were so many ways to have Robin leave PC for awhile and return, especially since other contracted, full time actors disappear for months on end anyway...ie SK, NLG, JE, even RoHo's Franco ebbs and flows. It's the awkward, rather meaningless story the writers choose for Robin that is at fault IMO, not the length of time Kim could commit to the show before she had to leave once again.

I loved Sam with GV's Lucky, and the first round of Jasam was okay, but the second round of Jasam just wasn't the same. And too by that time Jason had his built in mini harem with Sam, Liz, Carly and a few others as well, who were in constant, if silent, completion with one another over Jason to remind the audience of Jason's awesomeness, in case someone forgot or they were a newer viewer. I know mileage varies and Siam have their fans, but to me Sam and Silas are a disaster and I suspect the constant sex is supposed to make them interesting to watch, which it doesn't as it makes me turn the channel instead. Although, I did see some chem between Sam and McBain initially when Jason was acting like a jerk to Sam, but ever since the vampire nonsense, Sam and McBain/Silas have become the anti-chem and Sam has just faded away into the woodwork.

I've only seen LW's Carly and to me she screeches like a barn owl most of the time and I end up either FF or muting the ear splitting noise.

Long time lurker...but new to posting. Love all the witty on point posts from the other board. For me, it's the lack of good storytelling. I've already cut back on how much GH I watch, which is very little the past month or so. I didn't watch any of AJ's exit story once Sonny shot him while Ava cheered him on. I'm hanging on a bit longer to see what happens for May sweeps and will Sonny finally get caught...after that? IDK.
