"I'd like you to show him, or her, or they, it's okay to be who you are" should be: "I'd like you to show him, or her, or them, it's okay to be who you are." That is no longer a grammatical error in major publishers style books. That side of the social war won after a lightning fast social revolution. It has to be a grammatical error. You can say, "I'd like you to show him", or, "I'd like you to show her", but you can't say, "I'd like you to show they". Poor grammar.
