Actually, the only reason I noticed the duplication (or triplication) of these versions is that I kind of like the first guy- the mostly bald one. He seems enthusiastic and upbeat. Two strange ads that popped up in the last week: for Babbel (language app)- this ad has run for a long time, with a 'human' cast, where a large-nosed young woman learns how to ask a taxi to take her to the Hotel Pierre, in French. Now they're running the exact same ad, but animated. The cartoon woman even has a cartoonish large nose. for Friday Plans (cheap ED /Viagra medical app)- yesterday I saw 2 different actors repeating the exact same script that has been running for months with another actor. All 3 actors are middle aged or older white men, slim, with gray or balding heads, all wearing a grey and white checked shirt. They all read the lines EXACTLY the way the first guy did it ('Boom! Look at that-87 cents a pill!) Why on earth??!

I'm positive that there are significant building code violations in TayLER's house, following Chance's 'remodeling'. The male lawyers who Nick (the murderer/husband) had representing him couldn't seem to understand why he would kill his wife 'just because' he was ashamed of his financial failures. They didn't see that as a viable motive! I think female lawyers would have totally got it,and might have worked harder to prove that Heidi knew about the foreclosure. I was disappointed that the police didn't unearth where he spent the money; the jury would have taken 5 minutes to find him guilty instead of 5 hours. Of course it was 2010 and they might just not have had the amount of cyber evidence they could find today.

Why are Peloton's ads always so annoying? This latest one, with angry-looking trainers shouting at people while some rap (?) song about 'YA GOTTA LOVE IT' blares- ugh. Who would be motivated by this stuff to spend thousands of dollars?

My main irritation with the Lume/Mando ads is that I refuse to believe that 'Dr. Shannon' is such a genius that she and she alone came up with some chemical formula that is not like any other deodorant! Isn't 'subdues the bacterial activity' exactly what all of them should be doing in order to be useful? Has there been any analysis of this stuff to verify that it's really unique? Well, I also think the woman comes across as insufferably smug.

I agree, there's something off about Jake. He dresses way better (and younger) than Annika, and (imo) seems much more into her than vice versa. I hope Bad Santa isn't really a murderer; that's just so soap opera.

Agree. I noted that they even changed Jane's look a bit- she appeared in a couple of scenes in brighter makeup and loose hair, as well as fancier/prettier clothing. I don't think we saw her hungover or with random bed partners, either. 'Hard drinking, bed-hopping old lady' was a hard sell, for me.

While we're on this topic, I wonder what happens with those online outfits that will send you prescription meds without an actual doctor's visit, like HIMS, Musely, Friday Plans, etc.? If some guy tells the online doc that he doesn't have heart disease and then dies after taking the generic Viagra, who has liability? I'm sure the customer/patient signs a waiver or something, but since this business model is easily gamed, I'm amazed that there haven't been lawsuits.

Why do so many of the many, many 'medicine' commercials include a voiceover warning potential users that they should tell their doctors if they have diabetes. or heart disease, or are pregnant, or whatever. What kind of doctor's office/clinic doesn't have you fill out a lengthy questionnaire before you even get to an examining room? And what kind of doctor would prescribe a medication without doing blood work, etc.?

Just watched the first episode of 'Payback' on BritBox; very intriguing so far, and super acting by Morven Christie and Peter Mullen. Part gangland, part police procedural with an emphasis on twisty financial crime.

I thought Annika and Michael's exchange at the end was poignant. 'I didn't want a father who doesn't love the mother, and then doesn't love the child' she said; he paused, then said 'Shame'. It seems possible that they both loved the other, but for 'reasons', didn't want to say the words. Things might have gone differently.

I can hardly bear to watch the Brit/Andy segments, they're both so awful. Talk about deserving each other. I actually came away from the episode thinking that Louie is kind of cute; I liked him in those glasses. He seems sensible, thoughtful, self-aware and patient. But maybe that's just compared to Melissa.
