  1. Felt like a series finale than a season ending one, if it comes to that. I watched the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars. Haven't watched any other animated series since. Those were always to kiddish for me. But, I've watched enough Star Wars movies, read a book or two, and all the Disney+ shows to get a good gist of the characters and storylines. I would give the series a B-. My biggest problem is that there wasn't enough background about the big baddie. They could have put in a throwback scene or two on why him being alive and coming back must be stopped at all costs. Another issue I had was Sabine. I think it was the actress. She was just not good, and delivered some clunkers. I was more interested in Thrawn in relation to Morgan, Ashoka and Baylon than Sabine/Ezra. Their scenes together were the worst. I hope they just recast for Baylon. I need to know what he's up to. Whoever they cast has some big shoes to fill. Ray was great.
  2. Everything you said at the very least. Also, did they not scan to see if anybody was infected? Everyone but Ortegas have already been through this scenario. I'm wondering if some of the other survivors got alien babies in them and that's why they are still alive and the Gorn took them.
  3. I call bulls**t on letting Batel onto the Enterprise while infected. Have these people not watched any of the Alien movies!? I was getting Alien: Covenant flashbacks by the end of the episode.
  4. That's not a guy, it's a boy. The actor is 9 years old.
  5. I stumbled upon a youtuber who who thinks Bella was miscast because she's not "adorable" like Ellie is in the game. Ellie is a foul mouthed, annoying little turd, there's nothing adorable about her. But he kept mentioning it and it was clear it was a roundabout way of him saying something about Bella's looks.
  6. They were together in the game. There wasn't much of a backstory, though. According to my nephew. He played the games. He just explained some things to me and how they changed it a bit for the show.
  7. No, the show is accurate on that account. Dr. Fiesz was reading a blog about Theranos and their wonky science and then contacted the WSJ journalist. Fuisz and Gardner knew each other and then eventually met Mrs. Gibbons. They had a group chat where they would talk about Theranos.
  8. He was paying himself $5 million a year. So he got his money back that he invested in the beginning* and then bounced. How long before Posada suddenly grows a conscious and leaves, too? *Plus he was getting $1-2 million in bonuses every year. He's selling his shares, so he's really washing his hands of the Marlins. Seems sudden. Expecting some scandal soon.
  9. A couple of seasons ago, someone did a pineapple upside down cake for their signature. I remember the baker worrying it was too simple. But the judges loved it.
  10. The show is simplifying the matter and playing loose with the facts. The Lovings were legally married, just not in Virginia. The Loving Act struct down remaining anti miscegenation laws. Isn't the show taking place in California? Because theirs was 1948. My grandparents (white/black) got married in Washington state in the 40s. They actually lived in Oregon, but it was still illegal for them at that time. I found the show incredibly boring. I agree with other fonts on the little sister being very sitcom-y in her acting. And MPG is totally wrong for this role.
  11. One of the key requirements for a BNA nomination is to release a full length (more than six songs) album in the eligibility period. The cutoff for Grammy nods is October 31st. Her debut album was released Nov. 13th, 2015. She couldn't have gotten a BNA nomination for the 2016 awards. Now, why she didn't get it for the 2017 ceremony is another question. Also this: A GRAMMY nomination in a performance category in a prior year disqualifies an artist from competing in this category, unless the nomination came from a single or a guest spot on another artist's recording, and the artist hadn't yet released a full album. is no longer true. They changed the rule after 2009 because Lady Gaga was nominated for Just Dance in the Best Dance category, and so was disqualified for BNA the next year. It was changed to only if you were nominated in one of the main categories (ROTY or SOTY). And then the rule was relaxed in 2014 so that Meghan Trainor and Hozier weren't disqualified.
  12. Derek said in a couple of months in a new interview that aired this past week on YES. But tonight he said soon. I'm confused by all this pink. The Astros has the pink ribbon on their uniforms. Isn't breast cancer awareness month October?
  13. It kind of sucks for any local Astros fans, because the only other time they play is in Houston two months from now. And for people who came from out of town and had tickets for the Saturday game.
  14. YES Network started there Jeter coverage this week. He gave a sit down interview that they've sprinkled into two programs dedicated to him, the weekly Yankees Magazine show and something titled Moments, Memories and Monuments. And jeez, I forgot how boring of an interviewee he is. He shockingly said something personal, though, commenting on being a dad for the first time and it was just zzzzzzzzzz. Damn, show a little enthusiasm or something. There was an article in the NY Daily news that said if Derek was going to be an owner (which looks like it's not going to happen at all), he'll have to do something he's never done; open up in interviews and stop giving canned responses. What will the Yankees do if the game is rained out or delayed?
  15. As a diabetic who was in and out of hospitals for years, I'm pretty sure at some point a nutritionist talked to him. Or at the very least recommended. Usually my visits were overnight in the ER. I was treated for dehydration and high BG levels. And whenever I left, no matter what hospital I ended up at, I would get a discharge packet of things to do, including seeing a nutritionist and an endocrinologist (with an helpful page of their addresses and phone numbers!) There was even diabetes for dummies info. How to carb count and everything. James was in the hospital for 10 days at one point. I find it hard to believe that he didn't get visited by someone while there explaining dietary tips. I bet Dr. Now gave him a referral and he didn't bother to make an appointment. And also, Google it. James expects everything to be spoon fed to him. At some point you have to take the initiative.
