  3. Anyone need a hint?! Rory and Jess are reconciling from an argument caused by a certain hyper-aggressive swan...
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmLipOlc33I Have you guys seen these?! I think they've been around for awhile, but I'm just discovering them. Some supremely dedicated fan has put together two videos per season of approximately 7 1/2 minutes each that contain all the most amusing/entertaining Reid clips. The one I posted above is the first of two S2 videos, but I think they're all worth checking out!
  5. I definitely know what you're saying, queenie. And I hate Abby (and the jaw-droppingly terrible actress who plays her!) with a fiery passion, but I guess I just generally feel like the person who's actually made the romantic commitment to you is more culpable for violating that commitment than the 'other woman.' I think it just makes Sami disappointingly pathetic for running back to EJ, especially when one considers all that transpired between them even pre-Abby. Personally, I'd prefer she go out by setting them both on fire and figuring out how to be happy without a man in her life, but perhaps that's a little extreme ;)
  6. Which DVD covers are your favorites so far? Yes, I actually think about these things...
  7. Awww...such a great shot! It's from LWF, TWT :)
  8. I don't 'ship Sami with anyone (except maybe Kate, haha), but I'm really disturbed at the increasingly likely prospect of her and EJ getting back together. No matter how much I happen to loathe Abby, I've always really hated the message that it's only the 'other woman' who deserves all the wife's wrath while said cheated upon wife forgives the cheating man who had the commitment to her in the first place. Sadly, I've found that to often be true to life, but I think it sucks as as a sendoff story for Sami. I adore sami, but that would make her look weak, desperate and pathetic to me. Combine this affair with the gazillion other instances of how grossly dysfunctional this couple's history is, even by soap standards, and I just can't feel anything but a mild wave of nausea at the idea of them reconciling. And this is coming from someone who used to enjoy EJ a lot, by the way, if only because he's one of the few Salem men with even a shred of personality!
  9. Thanks, Taryn---and, yes, you got it!
  10. Did you guys ever see this? I think it's kind of awesome:
  11. I'll vote against 10 as well, so the next round is open! 3. Luke and Lorelai play cards and flirt while Luke musters the courage to ask Lorelai out (Double Date) 4. Luke makes Lorelai a Santa Burger to cheer her up (Forgiveness and Stuff) 5. Luke closest the diner immediately to drive Lorelai to the hospital (Forgiveness and Stuff) 6. Luke comes by to search for Lorelai's lost chick (TDDR) 9. Lorelai shops on Luke's behalf and buys him a new wardrobe (P.S. I Lo...) 12. Luke brings ice and they share a hug. Rory's Birthday Parties. 13. Luke calms Lorelai down when she wants to kill 'the bagboy.' Kiss and Tell 14. Lorelai gives Luke the blue hat. Forgiveness and Stuff 16. The "you always look good scene" in the hospital - Forgiveness and Stuff 17. Luke and Lorelai on the bench at the Firelight Festival - SCLAOS My votes: 9 and 12
  12. Is it too late to add The Last Word to that ever growing Netflix list? I never see this one brought up as a favorite, and somehow I always seem to forget about it, but whenever I rewatch it I'm happily surprised all over again by how much I love this episode: the case, the profiling, the introduction of Emily, the Reid-in-glasses, which is my favorite look for him :)
  13. 15 is gone, but we have a tie between 9 and 10 for that second spot. Just vote for the one you most want eliminated!
  14. Okay, today's theme is reconciliation! Scenes where any characters have just made up from a recent conflict, however minor.
  15. It's so true, Idiotwaltz! For all the alleged 'compartmentalizing', I actually felt like Original Recipe Prentiss was endearingly real and even raw in a way---she had strong reactions and showed them. She was emotional, she was sometimes endearingly awkward, she blurted out things she probably shouldn't have, she was openly appalled by some of what they witnessed. By the end, she was more of the typically smooth, cool, badass female law enforcement agent we see on so many other shows. Paget Brewster still made me love the character anyway, but I felt like original Prentiss had Favorite Character EVER potential for me that was never fully realized.
  16. Assuming that by CI you mean CM, I'm not actually sure I agree with that. I think earlier seasons, while obviously not a revolutionary show by any stretch, had a certain amount of psychological insight and sometimes even raised a few genuinely thought-provoking issues. It was skilled at creating a suspenseful mood and feel and engaged me for reasons that had less than nothing to do with the torture porn (which, for the record, I dislike.) I'm not claiming it was ever Emmy-worthy, but I do think CM was a genuinely good crime drama for at least a few seasons rather than just a pure guilty pleasure for me...which may be a UO! Pitifully enough, my real guilty pleasure is Murder She Wrote, which---well, I'll spare you guys the humiliating details ;)
