  1. This is the place to talk about what you'd love to see CM do even if you don't think they'll ever actually do it! What aspects of the show's plots, tone and characters would you like to see improved? Which unsubs/victims/acquaintances of our team members would you like to see again? What type of storylines and topics would you love to see them tackle?
  2. Hi, everyone! Like many of you, I'm a TWoP refugee who just wandered in today, but I already feel like it has the potential to be my new cyber-home :) Favorite shows include Gilmore Girls, The Office, Buffy, and about a zillion or so more including, of course, the first four seasons of Criminal Minds. I've recently become happily addicted to Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Other random facts I've blathered about elsewhere: I live in New York, I've fallen into an incredibly odd not-even-a-real-job job that somehow allows me to pay my rent while still spending most of the day surfing the web or attached to my beloved Kindle, and I'm less than three months away from turning 40 and surprisingly sanguine about it (though I totally won't be once the actual day arrives; you've been warned!) I'm looking forward to talking to you guys and am thrilled that we have separate threads now!
  3. Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! Heh---I hope that voice of mine isn't too grating :) At the risk of sounding too fangirl-y, I recall worshiping at the altar of your posts way back when Joan of Arcadia was still on the air! I just ate Oreos and ice cream for dinner. And, sadly, that's not the least nutritious meal I had this week!
  4. Hi, everyone! I'm thinking this would be a lovely place to resume the ongoing Gilmore Girls elimination games we've been playing for years now! One idea that we'd batted around is doing 'great scenes in otherwise meh episodes' and/or 'great scenes for otherwise meh characters.' Should we get started on one of those as our inaugural game in our beautiful new home?! As always, other ideas are more than welcome!
  5. Assuming I'm allowed to actually start this thread---*worriedly rereads the FAQ*---this is the place to reflect on your favorite and least favorite aspects of The Office! Feel free to chat about your favorite and least favorite seasons, episodes, characters, plotlines, funniest and most poignant scenes, etc. Season 2 is my pick for the 'best' season, but I've surprised myself by kind of overdosing on it to the point where I'm not *quite* as enamored with it as I used to be. Apparently, that's what happens when you watch a given season of TV about 75 times...who knew?! Meanwhile, I've grown more and more attached to S1, S3, and even thank-god-Jim-and-Pam-are-finally-together S4. My least favorite seasons were probably 6, 8 and 9, though I adore the finale beyond the telling of it. Oh, and I recently blathered about my 10-12 desert island episodes: 1. Diversity Day 2. The Alliance 3. Sexual Harassment (I found Todd Packer---and, more to the point, everyone's reactions to him---totally hilarious in this one. I don't know what that says about me, but probably nothing very good!) 4. Booze Cruise 5. Drug Testing 6. Gay Witch Hunt 7. Grief Counseling 8. A Benihana Christmas 9. Beach Games/The Job (Can we pretend I'm not cheating by counting these as one?!) 10. Fun Run 11. Goodbye, Michael 12. Zillion-way tie among nearly all the rest of S1, S2, S3 and about 75% of S4... :) ...I'm pretty sure my #12 isn't really adhering to the spirit of the question. I could go on (and on...and on!) with more Office superlatives, but I'm hoping others chime in!
  6. Hi, everyone! *shy wave* I'm another TWoP refugee who's been on this site for a whopping eight minutes or so, but I already feel like it has the potential to be my new cyber-home :) Favorite shows include Gilmore Girls, The Office, Buffy, and about a zillion or so more. I've recently become happily addicted to Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I live in New York, I've fallen into an incredibly odd not-even-a-real-job job that somehow allows me to pay my rent while still spending most of the day surfing the web or attached to my beloved Kindle, and I'm less than three months away from turning 40 and surprisingly sanguine about it (though I totally won't be once the actual day arrives; you've been warned!) I was usually too shy to participate much in TWoP's Meet Markets, but I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys!
