  1. A few episodes in and ugh to Vanessa. She is so fake and has a ridiculous view of her own attractiveness because she is just basic white woman on the path to “let me speak to your manager.” Very happy to see a queer season of a dating show and looking forward to the drama. But the host choice was a little out of left field. But its always nice to see Catholic celebrities support queer lifestyle. Mal is gorgeous. Xander adorable. Lexi is so open and real and mature beyond her years. Rae is an idiot for not seeing what Vanessa really is but she admitted boobs are her top priority and Vanessa has two of them which apparently is all she wants so 🤷🏼‍♂️. Can’t remember the name of the blond egoistical idiot from the first season who immediately got back with her guy when no one liked her but Vanessa is that woman 2.0. Aussie was waaaay too groping of her ex at the intros given Sam was the one who gave the ultimatum. Watching her behavior before it was revealed who gave the ultimatum made me really hope Sam would escape. Quite the twist. It didn’t feel like they found anyone actually compatible with Tiff and they definitely deserved better options. She and Mildred needed counseling, not a reality show. update: Watched the ep with Tiff and their dog in the bed issues. Still thinking Tiff and Mildred need counseling but as individuals because wtf is with either of them. Also, Vanessa is still the worst.
  2. The differing room sizes and layouts should have been taken into account by Dara during her judging. One person is designing for two adults who apparently own only the clothes on their backs and a dog. One is designing only for himself. And one is designing for herself, her office, and two young children. Patrycja was definitely out of her depth but I would love to see what she is up to a few years down the line with actual experience under her belt. Jaime’s attitude is gross. “I want this flat so everyone knows I am better than they are”?!! And I am tired of the limewashing all the walls, especially the beautiful brick. Patrycja gets dinged for using the same tile in two rooms but Jamie has whitewashed or limewashed every room? I wish this was a non-elimination show. Dara’s judging is so subjective. Also, it would make more sense from the developers’ perspective to get multiple options of completed model apartments rather than model rooms in multiple different apartments.
  3. It’s frustrating to watch a protagonist be so self-absorbed when surrounded by so many people who unconditionally love her. They foreshadowed this with the title of the first episode, no new people. Sam can’t be happy for anyone. Not Joel or Fred for finding romance and not the music teacher’s students at their performance. I understand she has walls up so she doesn’t get hurt but she is too old to still be lashing out when anyone else dares to have feelings, like Tricia being able to mourn Holly. I love Joel getting the romantic storyline and not being relegated to the stereotypical role of gay bff. His first kiss with SLS was sweet. The comb joke was hilarious. They did a great job humanizing Tricia who started the first season as one of the antagonists. I never would have predicted she would become a character I actually sympathize with. I am excited for her see you next tuesday pillow success and the ramifications of it in the community.
  4. It was most likely cephalosporin, imipenem, or ciprofloxacin. Those three types of antibiotics as well as penicillin have a highest risk of causing seizures, esp in people with renal dysfunction, mental disorders or epilepsy.
  5. That was my biggest complaint about the ending. Everything wrapped up with as happy an ending as possible except Reynolds vanishing into thin air. In interviews, the actors talk about a scene that was cut which would have explained what happened. Given the romance subplot between them, it doesn’t make sense to me why they would have cut that scene or why they failed to acknowledge his entire existence in the later timeline outside of what might be implied with Brimsley’s teary comment about never getting married.
  6. Nothing says stellar fbi work like having a loud conversation with a colleague whilst standing outside the hideout of a high threat-level suspect. 🤣
  7. Does anyone else feel like Brimsly and Reynolds came out of fanfic for Beauty and the Beast’s characters Cogsworth and Lumière? The tall blond Reynolds next to the stocky brown-haired Brimsley certainly look like the candelabra and the clock.
  8. Tara. Temi was on Interior Design Masters.
  9. The instant Rory Kinnear appeared on the screen in episode one, the surprise twist ending was spoiled for me. He is ALWAYS the villain. Always.
  10. That restaurant critic must be the nicest food critic in the history of food critics. Even his criticisms didn’t sound critical. Watching Gabri repetitive movements while he prepped his dish makes me wonder if he is neurodivergent. That would explain how he keeps getting bullied without standing up for himself or speaking up about unfair treatment at judge’s table. Please someone take Tom off my screen already! He is so manipulative and lies to the judges about his role in things every week.
  11. I find it hilarious Ori has his ig on private. Imagine being such a douche that your appearance on a Netflix show took you off social media. Irina from LIB and Jill from Outlast were outright villains, yet their popularity skyrocketed after the show.
  12. The choice of artisans felt off with the inclusion of the “put a bird on it” lady. The two contestants of African descent both paint murals. One of them professionally. So it seems bizarre to then have one of the four options for an artisan be a white woman who paints “murals” (ie random birds). She felt like a character pulled right out of Portlandia. Patrycja is growing on me. Her bedroom design made me so nervous for her. But I loved her kitchen. The bathroom was as Dara said very safe but I liked it. Overall it feels like very few of the bathroom designs considered actual bathroom usage with heat and humidity. And all that colored grout? The grey could be coated in fungus and it would look the same.
  13. Ugh why do I keep watching? The only contestant I can think of who was as undeserving of making it to the finale as Monica was series one with Cassie and her ratty lace and puke greens. Not sure why I am at all surprised Michelle favored yet another barely competent white woman with zero taste or time management skills. Poor Tom.
  14. We got a hint of what a wanker Tom is when he took the opportunity of being on an international stage to publicly kvetch about his brother. This episode he was revealed to be the full-blown a$$ he truly is. The idea of cold ciopinno sounds vile especially with precooked shrimp. And then to deny anyone didn’t get what they wanted because of him when he literally removed Sylwia’s chicken from the checkout counter… What I do not understand is why did the team agree to him using so much of the budget? So many chef who have repeatedly been in the bottom and they were fine with spending nothing? I would have expected an immediate PYKAG to the person spent 3/4 of the team budget on a crappy meal. But Silwia’s lemon posset mushy chicken muffin thing sounded bizarre and not like any su boregi I have ever heard of. I find it funny Dale with immunity served an egg sliced in half for his dishes after an egg sliced in half that sent him to LCK.
  15. In Washington state, he can sue to get the ring back or for the value of the ring. The law is on his side that she has to give the ring back. If production paid for the ring, there is likely a clause in the contract obligating her to return the ring. She just wants screen time and is willing to do anything, like pulling a stunt like refusing to return it.
  16. I was commenting to my partner how endearing I thought it was that she kept saying that. But I can totally see it being grating too. It is obvious Monica could do literally nothing to a space and Michelle would still pick someone else for elimination. Laurence’s choice of a black (navy?) quilted dressing gown for the beach says everything about why he raved about Monica’s color scheme despite the brief. Loved the painter laughing when Tom asked her if it looked Caribbean.
  17. Did anyone else notice when whatsherface was bragging about how many shoes she brought that she was barefoot and had a raw-looking wound on her foot from poorly-fitting shoes? 🤢 What a twist this season that the men, with the exception of Billy, seem to actually be serious about finding someone to marry, while the women applied to the show in order to develop their IG following. I have noticed Netflix reality shows are now more about conflict with a one-dimensional and out to win at all costs villain and their minion. I guess with the success of shows like Pressure Cooker and Outlast that manufactured drama by mentally imbalanced women with low self-esteem and high cockiness is the new normal.
  18. I was a huge May fan until judge’s table when May outright lied about wanting to make something deconstructed. The batter was terrible. You could see that when it was being mixed. And no mention ever of deconstructing it before being called out on the unpleasantness of the batter. Sucks for Dale he didn’t insist on fish and chips, but given the results, May wouldn’t have fried that well if they picked it. Ali told Amar how to fix the batter, but Amar ignored him. Glad Ali made it through, because other than the crust their dish looked great. Sylwia and Victoire were the most fun pairing. Their potatoes were the thing that looked the tastiest of the episode. Annoyed to see Tom’s still got a boner for Buddha. Buddha could serve anything and Tom would rave about it. Luciana’s comment on restaurants in London being crap twelve years ago, as if there haven’t been amazing multicultural options for decades that she doesn’t count as real food, makes me want her gone even more than I already did.
  19. Can someone explain to me how Caitlin is on the show? Yes, she is a student. But since the pandemic, she works with her father making and selling pottery. In fact, she co-owns their pottery business, which appears to be their main source of income. How exactly is she an “amateur” potter by any definition?
  20. I did not understand Vithu’s idea. His friend Matt is really into Thailand so he thought hey, why not throw in a Buddha head in an otherwise innocuous, could be any tropical place, birthday set. Why not use your Sri Lankan heritage as your inspiration? Some rando white guy likes Thailand? Just weird. He also kept focusing on the cake plate which didn’t even look that good. And told Keith to toss another milk jug. Not sorry to see him leave. Caitlin annoyed me. It feels like she is there because her father unsuccessfully applied an earlier season. Her lack of experience with anything but repetitive production on a wheel is evident. The French guy is endearing but I don’t see him lasting long. I liked the top three. Personally I thought the ladybird collection was more cohesive and clean. The winner was a bit all over the place concept-wise. Very happy the show is back. If only Siobhan would stop making everything dirty. And they should go back to showing the potter’s own drawings of their plans rather than the GBBO-style illustrations.
  21. I hate Finley. My god why does this show revolve around her of all possible interesting characters. How many minutes of this episode were literally her sitting at a desk thinking then writing then washing her hands and thinking some more. So Dani’s mom is dead and her father went to prison a year before and her fiancee left her for Finley. Dre is stuck with strangers missing their first family thanksgiving of their life. Tess’s mom just died and she just separated from Shane who cheated on her. Misty has diarrhea caused by Finley. Carrie is in physical pain. Maribel and Micah don’t know if they will get to be parents. Finley’s mom is leaving a loveless marriage that made her miserable for decades. But yeah let’s pretend Finley, a grown woman with a good job with a great boss and a huge social circle and support, is having the worst time. Boo hoo. Also the graduate student storyline is still so gross. Hiding from the man who groomed you and used his position of authority over you to take your virginity and then breaking his car window? That’s Angie’s plotline? I guess it’s better than getting a condom out of your roommate… This show sucks now. But at least it no one sang this week.
  22. I hate Finley. Dani is right - she isn’t charming or cute. She’s still immature and selfish. It makes no sense to rehire her at an establishment based on alcohol and I do not understand why everyone still kisses ass as if she wasn’t immature selfish when she was sober, too. She definitively didn’t pay attention to what she was supposed to learn at sober living - jumping back into a relationship, forcing other people to listen to her apologies and demanding forgiveness on her timeline, etc. What happened with Dani’s arrest? Or her father’s trial in general. Jumping a year ahead is no excuse to skip over that cliffhanger. And to apparently skip over a year of Gini You would think Micah would know better than to buy a ring to propose to someone if he doesn’t know her view on getting married. The surprise ring when you’ve literally never discussed marriage is not romantic. It’s patriarchal bs. I’ve watched the L Word since the first season of the original and I can honestly say I find Tina and Bette’s “will they? won’t they?” endless plotline tiresome. I’m with Angie - what the f. However, Jennifer Beals needs to reveal the location of her fountain of youth because holy crap she looks great. The sex scene with Alice was unpleasant to suffer through.
  23. I also expected more. Lots of action in the first teo episodes. Now it feels they are doing anything they can to stretch it out. Flynne brushes her teeth Flynne plays foursquare. It’s annoying she is having seizures and still hasn’t mentioned to anyone that Aelita shoved whatever it was into her through her eye at the research institute. Like wouldn’t that be your first thought when things go weird, that maybe the optical data transfer that was forced on you is relevant? Especially now that everyone wants you dead because of whatever it was. Still enjoying the show. Just wish it had better pacing.
  24. I truly wonder if the Cole defenders here are watching the same show as the rest of us. The man had flies in his toilet. For four week, Zanab has taken care of him. He says he will make her a meal as a romantic gesture, so what steps does he take? Does he learn her food dislikes and avoid them? Does he learn a tasty recipe? Does he start foods cooking so they will finish at the same time in order to be served in one meal? Does he cut his own potatoes? No, no, no, no. She walks in the door and he immediately needs her help, so she can’t sit an relax while he makes her a romantic meal. Instead HE has gotten her involved in the cooking. She did not volunteer. She did not ask to be in the kitchen while he did it. He is the reason she was there at all. Men like Cole use weaponized incompetence as a tactic. Just like when he repeatedly asked if she had a mental illness, he is manipulating her. A small child could have made a better dinner. Just like a small child would know not to throw their towel on the floor or table. The bar for the men on this show is set so low for some of you to consider their actions commendable, it would be hilarious if it were not so heartbreaking. If Zanab had flies in her toilet, if Zanab cooked one meal for him in four weeks, if Zanab served wine in the wrong glass, if Zanab said another man was better looking than him, not a single one of you would hesitate to call her out. Cole is a manipulative man child and any adult having to live with him would be sick of his bs and irritated. The only thing Zanab has done wrong is that she didn’t walk out and never look back the first morning in Malibu when his true colors came out.
  25. It’s funny people thinking “poor Raven,” since she wasn’t attracted to SK. AT ALL. Both Raven and SK went on the show for clout, not love. Imo Raven fell in love with SK’s mom. She says isn’t close to her family, and his mom welcomed her with open arms. Finding a mother-in-law that treats you like her own daughter is the dream. She was getting a family and community, the husband who would be living thousands of miles away was irrelevant. Cole… ugh. How delusional and gaslighting to think Zanab has a mental illness rather than the reality that you are a super annoying partner that she is struggling to be nice to. The shot of sad Cole on the couch with his fries on the table… 💀 Someone save Nancy from herself, pls. To want to marry a man who disrespects you that much?! I hope Barftiste runs into her brothers in an alley one night.
