  1. I loved loved loved this series and can't wait to hear what you all think when you get a chance to see it. I knew very little about the case in the beginning, but was still so touched by this retelling that I found myself actually weeping at the end. I hope you enjoy it. ❤️
  2. I do like the UK version more, because it has "normal: people on it. I don't have names down yet, but I agreed with the choice for the Traitors' first kill...and I don't like the Traitor with the earring, the younger white man. He's bugging me already. 😆
  3. There are just SO MANY unlikeable people this year. And the misogyny....😫 I love watching "reality" train wrecks, but wowza!
  4. I can't help but think of this study that the American Psychological Association did a while ago, maybe 10+ years ago, about how young Black boys are often not viewed as "children" in the same way young Caucasian boys are, especially by Caucasian adults, and are therefore not afforded the same protection and assumption of innocence/naiveté. (That's a gross simplification, but that study and others with similar findings are out there if you care to Google). I remember watching those four in that scene, retelling the story and making fun of how Jax was treated. NONE of those four parents would have found that situation remotely funny if it had been one of their children at that exact same age; they'd have been irate. NONE of them were able to see Jax as a young boy, deserving of protection from a drunk, rude, sloppy, arrogant woman. I didn't even make the connection at the time. Now, having just begun to educate myself on unconscious bias, it's so damn clear. And watching Dorit's behavior this year...if it walks like a duck... Do you think some day therapists or lecturers will use HWs footage to show people behavior patterns in real life circumstances? I really got an education on gaslighting from HWs...I learned what it looks like when someone centers themselves in every situation instead of having empathy for others from HWs...now I'm seeing unconscious bias first hand in HWs. If nothing else, this shit show could be used to educate people on what these negative traits actually look like when they show up in our lives.
  5. I watched this all day yesterday (literally ALL day...a sloth would have been embarrassed by me) and I have SO many thoughts but suffice to say, I agree that Collins is horrible; Lucinda's voice drives me nuts, but I think she's a caring human who was robbed of a good experience the moment they chose her "husband"; Tristan makes me so sad and he needs actual experts to help him with this mental health, not these pseudo TV experts; Jack may be one of the most repulsive people I've seen on this show, ever...and that incudes Harrison from last year.
  6. That's the "Big Kathy Modus Operandi" and Kyle employs it with expert skill. I can't help but wonder (tm Carrie Bradshaw) if she does this to her own daughters. I'd have to believe she must. Do we have any tea on how her daughters get along? I just found this whole season and this reunion...meh. Other than being fully over the willfully ignorant buffoon that is DOORit and wanting her off my TV, I don't think I really care about seeing more of any of these people's lives. I guess watching Sutton and Garcelle being actual friends is fun...ish.
  7. We watched the first two episodes last night. This version is SO MUCH better than the US version. Thanks again for the great link, LennieBriscoe!
  8. Ohhhh thankyou thankyou thankyou! I looked for this just yesterday and couldn't find it. Thank you for the link!!
  9. I thought it was super weird that Kyle and her dawders (TM Teresa Guidice) made a grand entrance into the empty stadium, I mean, into Sofi Stadium, without Mo. After he finished his snack, he greeted them and then stood there, lookin' like a hanger-on, not like part of their family. He was definitely on the outside lookin' in and it was not a good look for either Kyle or Mo. That whole party was one big cringe. It's a shame. I used to watch that episode each year and think about how fun it would be to have the cash to host all of your family/friends once a year for a fabulous party in your gorgeous backyard; all of the memories you'd make with those you love, the tradition it would become. That's #goals to me. (can't believe I just used that cringy hashtag 🤣) The soulless, joyless White Party we saw this year is like a tangible reminder to be careful of what you may lose, when you get what you thought you wanted.
  10. This made me think of the preview for the reunion: we see Erica, then we see Andy saying to someone "Erica told me to eviscerate you" and then we see Kyle. I don't think for ONE SECOND that Andy was talking to Kyle in that exchange, but the editing made it look that way. I hate that kind of shenanigan and this show does it constantly. I never believe previews for this shit show.
  11. I've seen this in a couple of posts and I'm going to push back on this narrative. Sutton and her ex had a partnership: he worked a high powered, lucrative position and she managed their home/family/social life. Her contributions are part of the reason he was able to achieve/maintain the position he had. Alimony is acknowledgement of the contributions made by the non-salaried (or less salaried) spouse. So some judge/mediator somewhere agreed to the value of her contributions in that partnership when awarding her that amount of alimony. I think it seems bonkers to us "normals" because she makes in a month what it takes us years to make, but I don't begrudge her that. And I don't think it's "daddy's money". It's Sutton's money because she earned it. And I hope she comes back again next year so I can watch her spend it some more!
  12. Her sitting there, in full on cultural appropriation, and then asking others what about her is fake?!?!??! I was gobsmacked. Before this season I thought she was just an ignorant blabbermouth with horrible taste. Now, between the constant microaggressions and cultural appropriation, I see EXACTLY who she is and she can exit my screen immediately.
  13. I watched this last night and was utterly captivated by it. I usually have my phone in my hand while watching TV, but not this. I'd recommend this to EVERYONE. Powerful, informative, and dramatic.
  14. I appreciate that they've given Janine's wardrobe an upgrade since she got her new position. The clothes an early ed teacher wears wouldn't translate to a district office position. I like the realism there.
  15. I'm excited to see Kate as a Traitor (assuming she agrees, which I think she will). She's all about taking care of #1, zero fucks for others...that should make her a fun Traitor. I laughed out loud when she said she'd throw anyone in that castle into the moat for $10! 🤣
  16. Her "grilled cheese" made me want an ACUTAL grilled cheese! She did a phenomenal job.
  17. I am baffled that he doesn't get more attention. IMO, he's far and away the best "boy" in the villa. I can't even type that without hearing Ian's voice....in the villaaahhhh. 😄
  18. We're watching All Stars. Good grief I still abhor Messy Mitch. What a cock.
  19. I found the whole Hart/Vergara schtick exhausting and wanted Graham to exert a little more control over the never ending banter. That being said, Alan Cumming is on my list of people I'd love to have dinner with one day, I think his life has been fascinating and he's positively charming. More Alan, less nonsense, please...
  20. I thoroughly enjoyed this tournament and, especially, this episode. I was a little miffed at the LAW promo for Kimmel, and SUPER miffed when the news broke in (though pleasantly surprised that we didn't miss any content), but the competitiveness of this trio was top notch. And FUN! The hour flew by and I enjoyed it so much. Looking forward to next year! PS...LAW's genuine surprise and emotion at winning brought out some tears in me. Crying at Jeopardy is something I didn't expect. 😄
  21. This is my first go at True Detective and....it's a lot. Like so many others here, I'm interested in the case, but the seemingly endless list of characters, relationships, and sub-plots, with very little actual context and just a bunch of guessing on my part, is turning me off, unfortunately. Also, it took four full days for my twenty pound turkey to thaw in my refrigerator, which is set at 38 degrees. In what world can frozen human bodies completely thaw in 48 hours? Not a big deal, I confess, but it bugged me....🙃
  22. I swear my husband brings up this toaster/island/sink situation during EVERY episode. It truly is bonkers.
  23. Jeebus, this is hard on my ego! Why couldn't I share a name with someone more popular...😄 That being said, I think "lesser AnnMarie" is so busy clinging to Kyle's backside that she doesn't even see how Kyle is using her. She's gotta be cringing watching these episodes.
