  1. After looking thru some of the prospective new talent, I would say that Claire Wolford @clairewolford from Arizona (ASU Cheerleader squad) is one very talented dancer. In her Insta feed she has many dance numbers and you can tell she has great moves and looks like she lost every joint in her body long ago she can bend everywhere! She deserves a shot at finals if anyone does. As one member said earlier, Claire is definitely a contender for Victoria in both ability and in looks.
  2. I know that this may be a bit off topic, but I don't think it fits any of the others. I know that in the past several years Kelli and Judy have picked a total of 36 ladies for the final squad. I agree with this number as a well rounded group and it displays very well on the field during the pre-game show as well as divided into four sideline squads of nine ladies. However, this last year may have been a special case with all of the losses during the season, but I saw a video of the entire squad in November and there were only 24 ladies. They still did the pregame show but it just didn't have the presentation punch of a full team. I was wondering if Kelli, Judy and Charlotte have considered expanding the squad to 40 or 42 ladies with the extras being on standby just in case.
  3. Finally got a good picture of the 2017 Miss America Pageant where Miss South Carolina Rachel Yuki Wyatt was 1st Runner-Up Best wishes and hopes for a great future as a DCC!!
  4. Rachel Yuki Wyatt (IG @rachelyukiwyatt) was a cheerleader for the 2015/2016 Clemson Tigers. She was also crowned as Miss America Outstanding Teen in 2013, Miss South Carolina in 2016 and was the 1st runner-up for Miss America in 2017
  5. I have been watching the DCC auditions for several years as well as the Training Camp and one overwhelming fact has become very evident. The choreography of the dances are NOT easy!! There are over 50 different dance sequences that the candidates have to learn in a very short time during the approximately 8 weeks of training camp. The ladies have to be perfect on every one of them if they expect to make it all the way through to becoming a DCC. They have to see it one or two times and have to remember it and do it in front of the two most critical and nit-picky (not criticizing) ladies on the planet, Kelli and Judy. I am not, not, not bad mouthing Kelli and Judy!! They are responsible for the entire reputation of the DCC as a whole and reportable to Jerry and the rest of the upper staff and if the DCC doesn’t look good then the entire team loses. My thought is that Kelli and Judy should have some veterans or professionals make a series of DVDs, BlueRays, or digital clips which show the 50 different dance sequences in teachable videos that they can give to the candidates during camp. They can take them home and watch the dances that they are learning and compare themselves and how they interpret the dance to those shown on the video. The videos should have multiple views so they can see them from the front, side and back. A commentary track by Judy or Kitty should talk about the high points of body movement and/or position during the sequence. Hopefully this extra take-home video can help those who have trouble learn the dances faster and allow Kelli and Judy to use the camp time more effectively and improve the DCC group as a whole. This must include the sequence of the group moving onto the field during game intro and improving the lineup matching with the on field yard lines. I hope that my suggestion meets your and Kelli’s approval. Remember practice makes perfection!!
