I’ve been doing my most-recent watch-through on Paramount+, too! Just got past the part in season 7 where Rainer from Premier Atelier argues with Kelli at Danielle’s makeover and then is never heard from again. 😂😂

I was so proud of my home team last year for selecting male cheerleaders, and this year I get to be proud of them all over again. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

I think for cheerleaders who take a year off and come back, they are considered a vet as soon as they get into TC, with their total years of tenure attached. So if she did get into TC then she is technically a 3rd year vet!

I know in past seasons there have been comments that indicated that not everyone gets one. Rainer says “Some girls come in looking great. We don’t do makeovers just to do makeovers.” And in Brandi Kilby’s second training camp she says “I was excited to hear that I was getting a makeover this year.”

Yeah, every time I’ve seen the board shown this year it had Lea “not making the team”, which is bonkers. Just further evidence that the board doesn’t matter at all.

Also, I remember in Kaitlin LeGrand’s veteran training camp, one of her transgressions is that she missed her “uniform sizing up”, so maybe they do check it annually and make adjustments? But then you get Meagan Sharp being criticized on cameo day for “outgrowing her first year shorts”, so I’m not sure.

It just looks so dangerous, too. I mean I’m sure jump splits hurt under the best of conditions, but she must have landed awkwardly. Plus, they’re always talking about when people are off it can hurt those next to them. I just hope everyone’s okay.

“Melt them off!!” 😂 Part of me wonders if some of this is because of COVID and girls maybe doing their own hair and makeup?

Annual(ish) rewatch is underway, and I’m in season 7. So… I’m always reminded that this is the season where Kelli and Rainer argue about Danielle’s makeover, and then he is just never heard from again, haha. The next season they use a different stylist. Poor guy may be in a shallow grave somewhere for disagreeing with Queen Kelli. Jasmine Goode is clearly looking for exposure in her rookie training camp. There’s even one time where she’s giving this little speech about how lucky she feels on cameo day, and she even peeks over her shoulder to make sure the camera is on her. Poor thing just wanted her 15 minutes.

Correct, (and I love your username!) but I don’t see how that would be necessarily more difficult than the choreography in general, for a dancer that’s skilled enough to make the squad. Of course I can’t do any of it, so. 😂

I would imagine that it is in fact “harder than it looks”, but I also refuse to accept that “five yards in four counts” is a complicated notion. Like… there are yard-lines. You don’t need to break out the ole graphing calculator.
