  1. I don't mind watching people make stupid decisions or dumb moves, but it's hard for me to watch a group with so many arrogant idiots. It's especially annoying when the ones who are kicked off act like it was such an amazing move to oust them like somehow the group finally got rid of the mastermind. Stop clapping and praising the group for getting rid of you, you're only clapping for your own ego. Even the players that are less grating aren't exactly favorites of mine; They just look good in comparison to someone like Liz. There's the one blonde guy who's obviously a challenge beast, but has zero social skills and the 80s rocker guy who seems nice enough. I guess I'm rooting for the older woman with kids (I'm not good with names - the only player I know is the letter Q... and Liz😞) since she seems the least noxious. Oh I do know the name Charlie since that's my dog's name and he's clearly getting the winner's edit, but he's simply not my cup of tea. What can I say, I'm not a Swiftie
  2. I love architecture, and I've taken several people on architectural tours of a Frank Lloyd Wright studio in Oak Park outside of Chicago, so kudos to the Wisconsin Tourist Board for making me want to take a trip up to the Milwaukee/Madison area. That being said, the challenge parameters were too open to interpretation, and had little to with Frank Lloyd Wright or architecture , but I really don't care all that much. The show thought up a team challenge and need it to fit somewhere. For me, Frank Lloyd Wright was more about organic harmony between opposing forces, which I don't believe was successfully interpreted in really any of the dishes. The cheftestants were kinda just told to make opposite dishes and hope for the best, I guess. Like, did the chicken and egg dishes really speak to each other or the dark dessert and light pasta have anything to do with each other outside or some artistic leeway? Not really. I have nothing against open interpretation challenges, but it's been said great art comes from limitations, so maybe the dishes would have been better with clearer parameters. I definitely can see why the winning dishes won, and obviously, even though the magic of editing, that the losing team were oil and water. I think I finally figured out who Savanah is, so that's something.
  3. Next to John Waters, Carla is probably my favorite human I've never met, so I was a little miffed the cheftestants didn't seem as in awe of her as I would have wanted. Nevertheless, I thought Carla did a great job. I could see her easily added as a rotating guest judge. I have a hard time paying attention during quick fires since they got rid of immunity. I'm not sure if its the lack of stakes or the challenges themselves, but my mind goes elsewhere. Like, I really don't care if the winner gets $5,000. Maybe if they gained an advantage in the elimination as well, I'd be more into it. Please don't throw tomatoes at me, but I'm not a fan of cheese. I don't even like the word cheese, so this was not a challenge I cared too much about. I'm glad Michelle won. She's been my pick since episode one, but I feel like I'm being setup for heartbreak (like Carla) My personal challenge for next episode is to figure out who Savanah is
  4. Everything and everyone this season is just so formulaic. I miss the Logo years
  5. I miss Padma, but it might be more so a loss of familiarity. Personally, it felt a little first date clunkiness with Kristen, but I expect her rapport with Tom and Gayle will improve quickly in time. There's too many people for me to formulate a strong opinion for any of them (except for the hat guy and the witch) I'm picking the pitmaster as the winner. It's an outside pick, but I like her, and that's enough for me right now.
  6. 3rd sob story of the night at last count.
  7. Oh that's right. I haven't watched Survivor in years, until season 45.
  8. They're gonna have him at the reunion show talking his million hearts nonsense and the audience is all expected to applaud him but I sincerely hope he gets booed off the stage, but that'll never happen
  9. this is neither funny or amusing on any level
  10. I had an episode of Drunk History on Saturday morning for background noise. I look up and saw Bhanu as a character actor in a non-speaking role. I was irked the rest of the day
  11. go back to 60 minutes if all this show is going to be is sob stories
  12. the music score so far is so hamfisted
  13. I didn't realize I could hate anyone more than Liz, but here we are
  14. I've fallen asleep two two-hour episodes in a row. Survivor 45 was the first season of Survivor I've seen in well over a decade and enjoyed the 90 minute episodes just fine, but these contestants are wearing thin. In the four hours (minus commercials) that Ive seen, I can barely remember any of them. Even the quirky ones are getting on my last nerve. Fuck off Liz. I'm hoping it picks up soon, because maybe I'll come back for Survivor 65
  15. More often than not, the Snatch Game is hit or miss. I wouldn't say this edition was a miss, but it sure wasn't a hit. What really annoyed was it seemed each contestant/character had their own accompanying background music that was overtly manipulative. I was so focused on the music, it became distracting. I don't know, but this season feels like it has a lot of filler queens. Mhi’ya’s runway ensemble reminded me of Seinfeld's pirate puffy shirt, which made me think Q should've dressed as Elaine doing her little kicks dance down the runway
  16. I think the main issue of why replenishing traitors is necessary is they do have a certain number of episodes to fill, so if all the traitors are found around episode 9 or 10, well that's the show.
  17. Jake, The Boston lawyer, got a crash course is Murphy's Law
  18. I was shocked, I tell you, shocked when Alison announced Matty as the winner. I've been rooting for him since episode one, but even I thought Josh's ho-hum final cake was enough to put him through. I assumed that the technical challenge win would be the deciding point, but Matty's chocolate cake must've been so damn good. I'm not a chocolate cake person, but I'm curious to try it myself. Some people dislike Dan, I personally hate Josh, but all in all, we can all agree the best part of the season was the addition of Alison
  19. I've been only half-watching from behind a computer screen this entire season, so I don't have a deep critique on any particular episode, but we are coming to the end , so here are some of my stupid thoughts: I've been rooting for Matty since episode one. I know he has no chance of winning, but I'm glad he made it as far as he did. Josh has weirded me out since episode one, but I've kept that to myself. There's something about him that gives off Proud Boy energy that doesn't sit right with me. Dan is playing up his nice guyness, which I have no problem with, because that's just good manners. His desire to win seeps through, but it is a competition, so what can I say. My only problem with Tasha is the jarring camera cuts to the interpreter. It's like bam, hands flying at me from the tv. Other than that, she seems nice enough and should be proud of her effort.
  20. You're not wrong, but after years of ringers, I still like to think that these are home bakers, not professionals per se. (although I'd remiss to think after this many number of seasons that is a naive way of looking at it) So, would I buy a sloppy looking biscuit in a bakery, probably not, but if I was offered one at a friends house, I'd totally take one. Actually, if I knew for a fact that it tasted great, I don't think it would matter in either venue.
  21. It took me a while, but I'm starting to warm up to the new cast, but I will say that the new host (whose name I'll finally remember in three seasons) is fast becoming my favorite out of all of them. I love wagon wheels. I buy myself two packs at Christmas every year and dont the rest of the year, otherwise I'll balloon up. Needless to say, I was very much into the first challenge. I don't have too much to add other than I felt like they went with style over substance in regards to who went home (again, I'm terrible at remembering names) I felt it was beaver lady's time to go.
  22. so comes the end of our Project Runway not All-Stars but technically All-Stars season 20. I basically skipped all pre-runway because I just did't have the time to watch, but it was nice to see some quick cuts of Kara Saun. Overall, all three collections were very good. None of them wow'ed me, but all three should be proud of their effort. Laurence is clearly her own muse, which I'm totally fine with. She reminds me a little of Laura Bennett from season 3 in that regard. She'll continue making garments for herself and if anyone else wants to buy them, that's cool. She really should consider a line of accessories. On the runway, I guess that one red/purple number fell flat. For some reason, when I first saw it, the model reminded me of Lena Dunham, which I thought explained my personal derision, but I guess the judges disliked it for other more appropriate to the contest reasons. Like Laurence, you can also say Brittany is also her own muse, but whose aesthetics/craftmanship is more varying for different body types. It all fit into her brand, but I think she could have elevated it a tad. Having said that, eight days for eight looks (I think that was the parameters) is a tough sell. It was all very Gwen Stefani circa 2006, but early 2000s is just about due for a renaissance. The editing pointed to a Bishmé win right after he said his sister died the first episode or so (I think he said transcended in the finale, which George Carlin has a whole bit about soft language, but I digress) I thought his collection was the least cohesive for eight pieces but would have made sense in a larger line, if that makes sense. more ideas than time allotted. I'm over the baseball cap gimmick. I didn't miss Brandon. All in all, it was an okay season. I would rather it would've been an all-winners season (maybe non-elimination like Drag Race All-Stars season 7), but I'm pretty sure I'll never have to see Korto's sour face again, so I feel like I won, too.
  23. finally caught the latest episode.... bleh
  24. I tried to picture all these looks at like an MTV Awards red carpet, and I feel like none of them would be out of place, so good job designers. Prajjé was the clear loser for me. It was all so discombobulated. None of his pieces were particularly good in the first place. That's the difference when it came to Laurence's look. I liked all her individual pieces, but it didn't have something to tie it together. Brittany's look was solid. I get the whole referential thing, but it seemed more fun and playful than that one Timothy Chalamet wore they compared it to. Rami's look seemed so familiar to me, too. I feel like I've seen it on someone like Jared Leto at the Met Gala. I can't place it, but I've seen a similar garment. I liked both just fine, but not as much as the judges did Who is left? Okay, Bishmee. Looked good, fit well. It was a good color for his model's skin tone. (I could never wear it) I like the hat just fine.
  25. Again, another one day challenge 😒 Again, another asymmetrical design challenge 😒 Anytime I hear "I'm a grown ass woman/man," I know I'm about to hear some sophomoric tantrum. Lo and behold, it's Korto with her "mature" attitude. I just can't with her and now I no longer have to, so yea for me. Anyway, her look this week looked like what an old person thinks a young person would want. It's a Wendy Pepper. I'd also like to add my real name is Séafra, and people mispronouncing my name is not that big of a deal for me. (my last is even more confusing, lol) I thought Prajje was gone this week. Outside of the granny couch pattern pyramids, the blue dress looked like a very nice bridesmaid dress from 1997. Bishme's look needed two days at least. Liked the concept, hated the execution. Rami's look was extra safe. His looks are never really bad, but this could be something he made 20 years ago, and I wouldn't know the difference. I suppose you could graciously call them timeless. The top two looks were both fine. I'm not sure either embraced the challenge brief any more or any less than the other, but both were good for 12 interrupted hours of work. I think if they did any more, either of them were just as susceptible at being in the bottom. I wish Kara Saun was still around, because I think she would have excelled in this challenge.
