  1. I'm watching the 'more to love' episode, & when Caleb & Alina are in the cab, she asks if she can stroke his hair. He says yes, but she can't reach & he doesn't lean down but stays bolt upright & even laughs as she tries harder. Then he asks what is it like to have such a limited range of motion? As if she would know anything else. I don't care how 'tired' he is from his flight, he's an enormous douchebag.
  2. Nope, not De Niro, nor Pacino as I think Stephen said. That was pure Edward G. Robinson, which is permanently etched in my auditory memory from years of black-and-white gangster movies & Saturday morning cartoons referencing said gangster movies.
  3. My recording of the last episode cut off that last scene with the door, so thanks to all who mentioned it. My last sight was Dud sinking into & being covered by mud. What a horrible image to be left with.
  4. Lol. For me, cracker/cookie type biscuits are store-bought, generally in a tin. At home, I bake what Americans would call biscuits & Brits would call scones. Also, I just did some quick research in my own cupboards & confirmed that all our store-bought cookies are called "biscuits" (pronounced biskwee) in the French portion of the label. So words mean whatever we're pointing to at the time.
  5. I was struck by how Gibbs was shouting Ziva's name on the bus there. Like, dude, way to keep a secret. I wasn't giving it my full attention so maybe I just missed it, but did they explain how hairy bad guy knew to look for the drive or memory card thingy in that bus seat? Coincidentally right when Ziva & Gibbs were there?
  6. I loved it. The only thing that bugged was how shallow the dalek pieces were buried (6 inches of sand/snow? really?) and how the best guarding the Custodians could come up with was to stand or kneel at the burial spot staring at it. For a couple hundred years. Oh one other thing, the only piece that was properly hidden from ultraviolet (hello ordinary sunshine) under Sheffield town hall was somehow the one that got dug up. Aside from a little vigorous handwaving about those details, the characters were great, the dalek was properly creepy & it felt like the doctor was finally hitting her stride. I liked her from the beginning, but the other episodes this season were mostly just ok for me.
  7. So funny, I was a young IT professional in the late 70's/early 80's & bumped into that attitude when I was game shopping at 50+, several decades later. The young clerk asked if I was buying them for my grandkids, I said no they were for me. He was amazed that an old person would like videogames, & I asked him which generation did he think invented them?
  8. They're already working on that :D http://thefutureofthings.com/8973-7-major-advancements-3d-printing-is-making-in-the-medical-field/
  9. In the US? Because the website is blocked in the US. Sorry, no, I'm in Canada. And if they're trying to drag traffic to the app, there are certainly better ways to do it.
  10. You can watch the entire episodes, technical bake included, on the CBC tv app. I had a little trouble loading at first, but it's worth it.
  11. I really wish Jeff had said "This isn't the proper time to play an idol, you must wait until I ask just before votes are read. So thanks for giving it back to Production to re-hide, but it doesn't count & will not be available for this TC.`Now go vote, everybody!!"
  12. I only watch this as filler now, MC Australia has totally spoiled me. Especially since MC Canada had that salmon "masterclass" in 1 episode. What a joke. They plopped down 3 fully prepped salmon fillets & spent maybe a minute on each impossibly-complex Master Technique. "Here's how to steam, poach, & crust salmon" Durr, durr, durr.
  13. One thing that really bugged me this episode was Angela's facial reconstruction - she shows a generic, slightly scowling face and says this is what she looked like "before plastic surgery". Then she proceeds to change the drawing of the bone structure to match the victim's ACTUAL SKULL that she supposedly BASED the reconstruction on.
