  1. Whoops! Nothing like greeting some of the newer members and getting caught up in show talk :p. How about 'Mulder's house of Pencils?' Also on a more serious note: Anyone having issues accessing some parts of the site? I can't access game time or the faq, etc. part on Google Chrome. It will only let me access a cached version.
  2. Yep. It's classy. Reminds me of Perry and Della from Perry Mason. The actors who played them had it even after all that time, when they were in the tv movies. And M & S did in the movie, even after the actors hadn't played them in awhile too. It's cool, if you think about it. The best part is that the actors treat the characters with respect.
  3. @ Janet: Yea he was a rather interesting character. A definitely shade of gray one if you think about it. As for D. Fowley... I can't reserve judgement on her sadly :(. Too much history lol. I remember a lot of people called her The Fowl One (myself included) back then. But as a character, she is one good one. So in that way, taking M & S out of the equation, I can see what a tangled web she weaved and how much of a complex character she truly was.
  4. A little OT: I love Tv tropes... what they said on their site about our favorite characters. UST: Between Perry and Della. The TV movies suggest that they start dating. Official Couple: Perry and Della. Source: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Franchise/PerryMason It made my day :).
  5. Best: M*A*S*H, so sad, so touching and so poignant. Seinfeld, yes Seinfeld... I thought that the characters got what they were owed in it. Worst: Dexter.
  6. This thread is about our other favorite FBI agent, Fox Mulder. All of what we like and dislike about him over the years...
  7. Exactly. It took forever, but at least IWTB showed that there is such a thing as balance between work and home life.
  8. Sorry to double post -- was just over on IMDB's boards today and saw that they have a really active Perry Mason board there. Surprised the heck out of me. Kind of cool if you think about it :). It was mainly about the older series, but it's nice to see that there's still a sizable fan base for the series as a whole. Just found the sweetest find today... a couple of Perry Mason books. They're still in print :). Got them for a little over a $1 a piece. Can't wait to start reading them. And I got a Nero Wolfe mystery as well.
  9. Hi JanetMacklin! It's nice to see a newer fan of the series. Glad to see that you like it so far. Had to convince a friend of mine back in 08' to become a fan. Took him to see IWTB and he was converted. It was SO much fun. Have any favorite characters yet (aside from M&S)?
  10. Good point. Maybe they all need to stop saying it so much.
  11. Definitely. It's NOT one place I'd ever want to be in, that's for sure. I was AntiBeeSpray over on TWOP, by the way.
  12. I recognized your name right away, Bastet. Glad to see you here! Cute cat avatar, by the way. Aww :(. That sucks. How old was he?
  13. Ah... that would be great. Man I hated the Boots and Pants commercial. If he wants them so bad, he should go get a pair of them then. And add in the Ice Cream and Cake commercial as well. I think it was a Baskin Robbins one... and it was VERY annoying.
  14. Good point about the original series. I wish the movies would have been more like them in regards to the writing. Not in regards to the acting though. Glad that it was that much better (in my opinion). And the characters were more fleshed out. That's why I like the movies a little more than the series itself. Agreed about David Ogden Stiers. He was pretty much the Hamilton Burger type D.A. in the movies. Really was a good nemesis/lawyer for Perry to face off against. Ah, well I think it was kind of an 80's thing to be honest. To have all of that action adventure sleuthing. The best one I remember was from the Case of the Killer Kiss. Perry tripping the bad guy with his cane. Nice. Loved it. Wish they could have had the cops not be stereotypes in it. Come on... the series didn't have it be that way. They were pretty much on the same level as Perry was. They didn't treat them as lesser than. Come to think of that special, I found it on youtube recently. Here it is... link to it Disclaimer: from youtube.com, no copyright infringement intended.
  15. Yea I liked that one. Good interaction between Della and him in it.
  16. Ah. That's what I thought it was. I wasn't even on that much of a tangent :P. It was just meant to show how much they did care. I think it might have been the Las Vegas one. I'll have to check on it. Oh, I didn't mind the shift, it was kind of interesting to see them in different environments. I read in one of the interviews, that he wanted to do an episode in Russia. Now that would have been different, that's for sure. Just double checked... I think it was the Case of the Defiant Daughter. Glad that MeTv is airing them in order. It would be really confusing if they didn't.
  17. Thank god for MeTV! They show the tv movies every so often on there too. I try to catch the episodes when I can as well. Speaking of which, they're showing one of the movies... from 1990, on Friday, April 11th, from 8pm-10pm (eastern standard time). The Case of the Desperate Deception. Cool, I'm planning on getting the movies and then the series when I can. Any favorite episodes?
  18. She's ok. But she needs to stop saying that the points mean nothing. We get it!
  19. Yea he's really awesome, I enjoy him on Let's Make a Deal as well. Such a talented man.
  20. Here's a place where you can discuss what you like and dislike about our other set of agents.
  21. The Ahem you mentioned. Was a little confused by it. Ah. I see. Forgot about that. Well it was cute of him. Also, I have a question... do you know what episode it was when they left the courtroom together, and he said 'Let's go home...' to her? I think it was one from the 90's, but I can't think of the name of it.
  22. I loved this thread over on TWOP, and thought it would be cool to bring it here. Can't wait to see what you guys/gals come up with, motivational poster wise. Note: It's meant to be like it in spirit, so it will not be exactly the same. A little bit about each: Motivational posters are for learning and inspiration. But Demotivational posters are for laughs and for parodies. This thread is for the latter. This thread is for: Tv related motivational posters (for example: Supernatural, Quantum Leap, etc.) Movie related motivational posters (for example: Batman, Independence Day, etc.) Keep it light and funny! Let other people know of funny moments that happened in shows, via images and words :). Feel free to let me know either in thread or via PM, if there's anything else that needs to be made more clear. I'll look into it. Thanks. Do NOT go and post anything that's... * Inappropriate * Rude * Offensive Those will be dealt with accordingly. Thank you. Keep the (de)motivations coming! I'll go and get some of mine that I've made, and some others I've collected (credit goes to who made them originally) to start this off... For those times when we wanted to throw something at Chris. :p
  23. That isn't bad. Ah. They mention about them being in cameos, which wouldn't be too bad. If they wouldn't be included at all. Then they can take it and shove it. Sam and Al were the heart and soul of that franchise in my opinion.
  24. Sorry about that, wasn't trying to have it come across in that manner. If it did. It was meant to show how much the actors cared about one another and how the little moments showed that caring. Good one. So nice. I remember another one where (I think) Della was trying to surprise Perry for his birthday... and she kept on saying he had a secret admirer. Correct me if I was wrong on that one. It's been awhile since I've seen that episode. They mentioned one of the jokes he pulled on her (Raymond Burr did), that involved sending her stuff anonymously, in one of the interviews... and I figured that this was a nod to it in a way.
  25. I have on DVD. It's pretty good. Not sure if there were any retrospectives with it. I do remember hearing that they tried to set up a reunion or make one back in 2008 (iirc). Too bad it didn't go through. I would have seen it in a New York Minute. Loved that show! Edit: Just checked and it turned out to NOT be a reunion movie... but a REBOOT. No thanks, but I'll pass on that one, Mr. Bellisario.
