  1. Karen Pittman who played Nya also isn't returning due to a "scheduling conflict". I thought her character was interesting at the beginning, someone who wanted motherhood but it hadn't happened and do you give up or keep trying alternative routes but by season 2 she was so incredibly dull. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13229669/karen-pittman-exits-just-like-max.html
  2. Sara Ramirez HAS officially been dropped from And Just Like That after creators decided their divisive character Che Diaz was 'a waste of airtime' and 'annoying' fans - NOT because of their stance on Palestine
  3. (this is going to be a rant based off my personal experience, I have very strong feelings feel free to ignore) The whole Airbnb stuff in this episode made me so mad. I have a lot of feelings about this after living next door to an illegal Airbnb that took almost 2 years to get shut down. If we're supposed to believe that Che is a good person and is concerned about being woke then Airbnbing is the exact opposite of how you portray someone like that. As if I could like Che even less this episode makes me so mad. Also I hate that such an awful company is getting so much (presumably free) advertising, they are genuinely the worst company they hollow out neighbourhoods and don't give 2 figs about what they do to communities or people as long as they're making profits. Genuinely hope Che loses their apartment over this but given the blase way the show presented them doing this I doubt there will be consequences
  4. She has a hermes blanket on her single bed in Nayas, that is not someone who knows the struggle of the other 99%
  5. I enjoyed this episode, I always want more Anthony, that is how you play a character that could be unlikable but is still funny and you want to see more. As regards the Berger of it all, I would love to see him back but my storyline for him is that hes written a major best seller about this fictional relationship with a fellow writer but hes somehow made himself the sympathetic one, like people are crying over his bravery to write the post it, the words he could never say to her etc. and we get to see outraged, mad Carrie confronting him.
  6. 'And Just Like That...': Sara Ramírez talks 'emotional roller coaster' of Che and Miranda "They go back to a previous job working with a friend where they still have to deal with real-life stuff, but they discover a new connection with someone. They’re just trying to find their way back to who they really are. Does that include comedy? Does that include love? That's the big question mark at the end." "But my hope is that in Season 2 ‒ just like we embrace the humanity of the women on the show ‒ hopefully we continue to embrace Che Diaz's humanity. It’s important we remember that LGBTQIA+ people don't have to be perfect, just like the women don't have to be perfect. We get to be imperfect, we get to be unlikable, and you still get to root for our humanity." The only thing I'm taking from this interview is that Sara Ramirez understands something different from the dictionary definition of humanity.
  7. Can you imagine if Miranda of SATC heard another woman was travelling across town at 5am so she could be there in order to make sure her 18 year old got up in the morning and that she could make him pancakes? I miss that Miranda I mostly enjoyed this ep, it felt more like the old series than before. Carrie and Seemas storylines were fun. Also Nya has much more chemistry with the two of them than she does with Miranda. I want the Che thing to be over, I get that we the audience are supposed to feel terrible for criticizing a queer character but thats how it is, its not as even if they even wrote Che to have any lovable or redeeming characteristics and now they're just playing it as a sob story. Che seems like the most unfun person to have around, the character goes between chiding people to whinging, not someone I would want to go for a drink with or be friends with. The whole focus group made me think of this interview with Sara and Cynthia a few weeks ago Hey, It’s Sara Ramírez They’ve heard your Che Diaz jokes. "Back in the park, Ramírez waves away the side-eyes about Che, saying, “Anybody who benefits from patriarchy is going to have a problem with Che Diaz.” When I try to tell Nixon about some of my own mixed feelings, she asks, like a therapist, “Do you want to unpack that to me?” Both actors seem to believe the reaction has more to do with a societal discomfort around gender-nonconforming people, rather than a hope coming from actual queer people that we be portrayed as less lame."
  8. Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolf are playing siblings in a Christmas movie set in Scotland https://people.com/party-of-five-lacey-chabert-scott-wolfe-reunite-after-23-years-hallmark-christmas-movie-7554427
  9. Hey, It’s Sara Ramírez They’ve heard your Che Diaz jokes. Both Nixon and Ramirez seem incredibly tiring and very like their characters
  10. Also is Nya super rich? Law school professors don't earn that much. I have to say I never really felt that much of a deep connection between her and Miranda in s1, I doubt they would have maintained the friendship They've introduced even more irritating queer characters, I wonder if its to make us think Che isn't that bad in comparrison. If I didn't know better I would think this series was an anti-lgbt psy-op I remember Al Roker talking about it before. Who presumably lives in a very nice area https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dr-gridlock/wp/2015/11/24/today-co-host-al-roker-says-taxi-passed-him-up-for-a-white-passenger/ How was Carrie (who is extremely wealthy) not swimming in guilt for losing so many people their jobs? She seemed so blasé about the whole thing. In reality if Carrie didn't want to do the ad, surely she would have just paid her way out of the problem however much an ad on the podcast would have been would have been nothing for her.
  11. Berger came up with it and then Miranda took it on as her mantra. I hate what they've done to her character with the Che Diaz of it all. I'm still not over her cheating on Steve last season when it hurt her so much when he had a one night stand. I also don't understand how Miranda has the money to be a lady of leisure, the original series and the films, she was money concious like a plot point in the first film was her needing to find an affordable rental and this series shes quit her job to do an LLM and work for a non profit and now has abandonded that and is just a stay at home girlfriend, the Miranda from the original series would be freaking out about no income. I mean the whole point of the Che Diaz character in the first season was out and proud, calling out others for not being woke enough etc. and now can't standup for themselves at all even in a wardrobe fitting
  12. Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schue from Glee) is going to be in a GAC Christmas film with Jen Lilley he hasn't been in anything since he was kicked off so you think you can dance as a judge for having an inappropriate relationship with a contestant https://people.com/matthew-morrison-returns-to-tv-jen-lilley-paris-christmas-waltz-great-american-family-7509097 Never been a fan of his acting, don't think I'll be watching that
  13. I was glad Midge and Suzie patched things up but all in all the finale just left me a little cold. Not terrible but not great. With the Jeopardy thing I was kind of expecting it to finish with Midge being one of the questions I was surprised Midge didn't sabotage herself somehow with the Gordon Ford thing, we've seen time and time again that Midge is a self saboteur when it comes to her big breaks. Loved her show dress for her set. I thought they should have had a scene where Suzie apologised to James for telling him to step aside for Midge. Can anyone explain to me what the point of bringing Milo Ventimiglia back for that scene at the start of the season? I assumed he was a Chekov's gun would in some way feature into the plot later on, it just seemed pointless to have that scene redeeming him.
  14. The only one I've really liked since Cinderella was the remake of Lady and the Tramp, it was excellent but it was only released on Disney+ and not a lot of people seemed to watch it which was a shame. Just looked it up and it only has a 50% audience score on rotten tomatoes so it must be hit and miss for others but I really enjoyed it The remakes of Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, the Lion King and Aladdin were all poor shadows of the original animated films. Fingers crossed The Little Mermaid will be good. Has anyone seen photos of the premieres they've been having, Melissa McCarthy must have pissed off her stylist, every outfit is more of a tent than the last, such a shame, shes worn some lovely clothes to premieres before but every single one shes worn for these premieres are just atrocious
  15. I enjoyed The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost. Jodie Sweetin is very watchable and a great singer although I was rolling my eyes when she took off wigs and her hair was perfectly curled underneath. Thought they should have had more scenes between her and the detective as I didn't feel like there was chemistry between them and I'm sure we're heading towards them dating/unrequited love. Will be interested to see more in the series
  16. Thats what I don't get, Midge is shown to be an above average cook several times but we're lead to believe that she didn't know how to use the burners on the stove. She seemed to live perfectly well without help (apart from Zelda babysitting) when she was married to Joel, clearly she at least would know how to do basic household chores In the ep where we see Esther having therapy while at University she says that her Grandfather was the only person who understood her so it sounds like they had a very close relationship
  17. Ooooooo, hadn't heard about that one, I loved their Christmas movie. I'm excited about seeing that now Shes also doing a Paramount+ show with Taylor Sheridan so I imagine is quite busy and maybe hoping to step away from Hallmark/GAF type of content You're not missing out. I watched two of their Christmas films in 2021 and it all felt really cheap like they didn't have much budget and don't get me wrong I love a cheesy Christmas film but the dialogue in these was painful
  18. Really liked Darrow and Darrow, it was a nice change from the usual trope of detective teams up with woman with unusual profession to help solve a crime. Hallmark mysteries really has gotten rid of most of its mystery series now, its a bit pointless just to premiere the exact type of films they would on regular Hallmark constantly and add no new mystery series. The only new ones they seem to have on the horizon is one with Jodie Sweeten called The Jane Mysteries and then another Hannah Swensen with Alison Sweeney.
  19. No more Mystery 101 https://people.com/tv/kristopher-polaha-and-jill-wagner-reveal-hallmarks-mystery-101-series-is-done-but-tease-new-project/
  20. Love Kristin Chenoweth but the faux cockney accent shes doing this season is atrocious, my friend claims its a reference to the horrible British accents of the past (Dick Van Dyke etc) but whatever it is I'm finding it painful to listen to her when shes not singing. I was convinced that this season would be terrible after how great last season was, I didn't think they'd be able to replicate it but its just as good in a different way. I'm disappointed its such a short season again with only 2 eps left I feel like they have a lot of ground to cover and a lot of people who have been underutilised (Ariana DeBose, Ann Harada, Jaime Camil etc) Dove Cameron has done a brilliant job, I hope she gets to play Sally Bowles on Broadway one day she would be amazing. Alan Cumming as well is just brilliant in his role. First 2 eps they were really trying to hammer home that Cecily Strong is not a size 0, it seemed unnecessary and I'm glad that plot point seems to have been dropped. The way they were talking you would think she was massive when shes got a lovely figure
  21. I thought the actor had a real resemblance to the actor who plays Noah (Midges brother)
  22. Since Covid they seem to do the filmed appointments when the store is closed to other brides. You used to see lots of other brides in the background trying on dresses. Its probably a lot easier for sound etc but I miss seeing other dresses and consultants working in the background. I would say as well thats why there are so few eps a season, that theres a limited time to film them. I'm kind of bored of the SYTTD aesthetic, Kleinfeld for having so many dresses, shows the brides an awful lot of the same aesthetic. I wish TLC would bring back I found the gown or Say yes to the dress Atlanta
  23. Pipped at the post, I was just about to post this, you clearly have faster fingers. Interesting wonder if its Ro thats popular or CCB, will give the prequel a chance
  24. He looks more like what I think someone in their twenties would have looked like in the 70's people really did look a lot older. But I agree he looks ridiculous with all the rest of them looking fairly youthful and fresh faced. I still can't wrap my head around what they were thinking not aging them up significantly or using a different cast in the interviews. If we're supposed to be suspending belief that much about their ages, why have other people play them as young teens?
  25. So 20 years after they've broken up and they haven't aged them up at all. I think if anything Suki Waterhouse looks younger in the 20 years interview than she does in the bits more than 2 decades before. Someone who partied hard in the 1970's did not still look in their twenties/thirties in the 90's
