  1. I had the same question about the plates. It's kind of like them having to look in the lunchbox in the refrigerator to see that the apples and pears were in the lunch and not in the bake. I think the other thing they said about kitty ears' dessert was that the filling was lacking in quantity or flavor? So that with the cutting maybe eliminated them over the short stack? But then the short stack would have plenty of filling because it was shorter.
  2. Use this ingredient or the make a dish and only charge $xx. I think pricing of dishes has gotten out of hand along with some of the "recipes" or dishes they make.
  3. Just how much was that taste challenge worth that Khana won? You know there are producer shenanigans so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they didn't throw that one to Khana so they would be 1st place over Easy Vegan. I'm a carnivore, but there have been a lot of the Easy Vegan dishes that looked more appealing to me than the other trucks. That second day challenge this week I would have picked Easy Vegan because the other 2 trucks' dishes were a goopy, saucy, mess of too many things piled in a paper tray.
  4. I've watched a couple episodes so far this season. Instead of "uhm" it's "like" every other freaking word when they are talking. As for it "bringing people to Jesus", if it means making people take the name in vain.....It worked on me. I don't think this show should be on. The kids are old enough now that they're just acting. I can't stand the baby talk or using baby voices and trying to be cutesy. None of it is real anyway, but it's the overacting same as it is on every other reality show.
  5. I keep recording this show and every time I sit down to watch it i just can't stay engaged with it. My mind wanders, my body wanders to another room, I start doing random chores or whatever. I wander back to the TV and realize I've missed a bunch of it and start the recording over again and I wander.... It's just not holding my attention.
  6. At some point, you'd think that even coconut wireless or parking in front of an ethnic coffee shop that matches your menu would run its course out. I would imagine that folks would get tired of dropping such big $$ on the same food even if it was their culture. What do the customers have to gain from helping some strangers win a competition? That's also a good reason why they shouldn't stay in one city the entire competition. Fresh folks with fresh money. I might go one time for the novelty of it. I just don't think it would be something I'd want to be "obligated" to do week after week. [edited for redundancy]
  7. Referencing "Saltgate": I remember seeing contestants on different cooking shows and this one grabbing a pinch of salt to season and they're grabbing it from a plastic container. A lot of ingredients are in those opaque/clear containers like you'd get a dip or hummus in at the store. There's no label other than just what it is like "salt". Usually "sugar" is in a similar container that is bigger because you would typically use cups of sugar where you usually use teaspoons of salt. He could have misread the label in a hurry (starts with S, white granular salt looking item) or the containers were packed with the wrong ingredient. Other staple dry spices are usually in plain glass bottles. A lot of other ingredients are in labeled plastic containers. There's not a lot of items in their original containers, probably due to product placement/advertising fees. I have noticed on Grocery Store Stakeout? that the items will be in their regular container/label but will have black tape or marks over name brands.
  8. The bottles were missing because Joel took them with him after eating half the rotisserie chicken and tossing the bottlecaps on the floor to be swept into the dustpan.
  9. It had a breakdown I guess. They certainly were on a roll and appeared to be getting the winner's edit. I was hoping that the Pakastani truck would be sent packing.
  10. Not a fan of them either. Have to wonder how they would have done in the second part of each week's competition. Just seems fishy to me that they would get 3 in a row of something that all the other teams completely missed the mark on.
  11. I'm also showing a new WWHL episode each night, Monday and Tuesday that says Reunion. So 4 parts of reunion?
  12. I was just checking my DVR to see if it had things set up. I noticed that on Monday and Tuesday 7/17 and 7/18, there is a Reunion Part 1 and a Reunion Part 2 along with additional Reunion Part 1 and Reunion Part 2 as WWHL episodes later the same evening. So that's 2 Part 1's and 2 Part 2's? The WWHL description says Reunion continues....
  13. Can Kanah be the next gone-uh? I'm going to have to just fast forward through the rest of the season.
  14. When I saw that, I thought "wasn't that Capt Lee's song"?
  15. It just occurred to me that Jasmine spends $3500 on hair extensions to make her hair look like a huge frizzy mess?
  16. I'm running a little behind in watching tonight. I thought that whole "first morning wake up" convo was a bit much. They can't show what they were both describing, but how did it become OK to sign it or speak in a different language about it?
  17. Was David using Paul's universal sign for "can I marry your daughter"?
  18. Considering I think that Nicole's hair is "meh" and dirty/greasy looking, it's not a glowing endorsement of Gina's services.
  19. and I am "sitting on the couch" right next to you.
  20. But it's the season that doesn't stop giving. There's so many more episodes after part 2. Where are they? Lookback. Best/Worst Moments.... or whatever more nonsense that is coming down the line.
  21. If someone said that to me, we'd cut to the next scene at the ER: Nicola: I don't know what happened Doc. I was just telling her how cute she is.
  22. I'll cheers to that! *raises glass* "clink clink clink" 😀🤪🥂
  23. Each season, it seems more and more like they already have their winner picked out before they even start taping and then mold the rest of the season to fit.
