When my mother died, I went walking with my dad and it was a little cool, so my dad gave me the gray sweater he was wearing. I continued to wear it on and off through out the time I was home. When I left I tried to give my dad back the sweater, but he said "You keep it." My dad ten year later. I still wear the sweater all the time, even though I probably look dumb in an oversized man's sweater. It reminds me of both my parents." This has nothing to do with "This Is Us". Sorry, Moderators :).

Kevin's cast is off for the funeral. I guess he could have had it removed in the week between the Superbowl and the funeral. It is odd they never mentioned it.

Because it is all about me... I received a call early on a Sunday morning that my son's father had died suddenly. The day before was the big cross state college rivalry football game and my son's favorite team won. I had gotten home very late the night before, so we hadn't discussed the game yet. A couple of hours after I got the call about his Dad, my son came beaming out of his room happily chattering about what a great football game it was. Then I had to give my son the bad news, which was really hard for both of us. The date of the cross state rivalry football game jumps around and doesn't match the date the year my ex died. However, it always brings to mind the traumatic experience of my telling my son about his dad's death. It is not that we forget the actual date. We are sad then too. I can see where Superbowl Sunday, no matter when it occurred, would be a trigger date for the Pearsons.

I would bet my left boob, that Jack does not die in the fire, at least not directly. The stuff on Rebecca's seat as she drives past the burned out house are not things a man would have on him in the middle of the night as he grapples with a fire. He would have his wedding ring on, but he wouldn't being wearing a watch or have keys and a notebook. My guess is that Jack gets out of the fire just fine, and he goes on a bender and something happens, or he goes back to the house to look for the dog and a beam falls on him or something. Yes, I know Kate has the dog in the Miguel house scene, but the dog could have found her as Jack was still looking for it.

I'm an urban planner. I hope R & B put a lot of money away while Randall was working, they are not going to be able to keep up their lifestyle very long on an urban planner's salary. Urban Planners seldom use drawing boards and rulers any more. It is all computerized these days.
