I agree with Whoopi - Barr stepping down made me wonder what’s to come in the form of his replacement? Did Barr possibly see something that even he couldn’t abide by despite being a staunch loyalist to his boss up until now? Granted his replacement won’t be there for long anyway, but still. Ugh. I was really hoping she’d decide not to return after having her baby. Sure, I still get annoyed by the show from time to time, but it’s been so much more enjoyable to watch without her eyerolling, screeching, turning every topic into something political, ect. I may go back to not watching and just reading what you all say on here once she returns.

I know Sunny said she thinks Barack is wrong in his criticism of the “defund the police” slogan, but Sunny is also kinda wrong imo. I don’t want to get too off topic, but to the average American who isn’t closely following politics, that slogan translates into something negative, even if it’s not meant in that way. Whether that’s a right or wrong assessment, I won’t get into that, but messaging is important. I saw a recent poll that had 61 percent of black people opposed to removing police from their communities. Like I said, to get into the details of this whole “defund the police” thing would be off topic, but slogans that have to be explained usually don’t work and I say this as a black woman. Again, I’m not saying I agree or disagree with that slogan, but messaging matters.

It’s a crazy story indeed. No matter how comfortable I am working from home, I make sure I look professional and presentable on Zoom calls. Even if I know the video is off and the sound is muted, I’m on my best behavior.

Wow my brother caught COVID this summer too! Fortunately he didn’t have to be hospitalized, but it knocked him on his butt for awhile. Our family was really concerned about him because he has a few other health conditions to deal with already, but thankfully he made a full recovery. I agree with you - it’s infuriating to see certain people play it down, especially when you know someone who actually went through it. I hope your brother is doing better. ♥️
